Belated Happy Birthday, Mooloo!
:bdaycake:0 -
I used to live in Littlemore. Not for long as that's when my story began and the twins came home pregnant with in a few months of each other.
Then we moved to Cowley, then came back to Northants.
We walked through University parks by the river, down through the town, I chose Nando's as I wanted Piri piri chicken. I did not think much to the restaurant itself though so would probably not recommend it.
Then we walked down to the Head of the River pub and had a drink there before walking back through the town and getting the bus back.
It was a good Birthday, and I am hoping that it will herald a good year ahead for me. I am seeking out the positive things where ever I can find them.
I have the doctors this morning to see how I am getting on with my tablets and all the day today carp that I have been dealing with.
My hypnosis along with journaling and motivation videos on the phone while I work are helping me considerably.
I am certainly calmer and taking more things in my stride then I was in April and May. Long may that continue. The sunshine is also a great help.
So I am expecting Social to pop by this morning, to see DS but I will be at work this week (hopefully). So I have been doing a bit of tidying up before I go to the doctor in a few minutes. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wow small world eh? I remember the head of the river before it was a pub, me and my now ex husband lived in one of Salter's houseboats for a winter, was awful, damp and cold! The pub was just a shell, absolutely totally empty! I miss the supermarkets there because you could if you so wish, visit all of them! But apart from that I don't think I miss it that much! Then sometimes I do but not really I suppose! Hope your day goes well, I really do!0

My OH spent a few of his formative years in Oxford (I think he moved away when we was 10/11). We did a 'Memory Lane' trip some years ago and it was interesting to see places he had talked about. However, he is sure that everything has shrunk in the intervening years - he remembers both his street and the river as being much bigger!
Mooloo, I hope that this is the start of an upturn in your situation and the beginning of a more settled life for you all. It's not difficult!

I had my doctors appointment this morning, she's happy with the way things are going and did warn me that there will still be days when it's not so easy because I have so much on my plate.
She looked at a lump that I have on my leg that's been bothering me for a while and is going to remove it for me next month, after my holiday with Mum and DGd. She was going to do it just before but I don't want a open wound or to have plasters etc on my leg for my holiday.
I got to work about 10 and sewed all day. I seem to be fairly on top of things now so I didn't bring work home to do tonight which is just as well as the cabin is roasting. I will need to bring the air conditioner unit home from the shop if I can.
I can't believe we are down to days to closing now.
The boys have obviously not been supervised as well as I would have liked today as the door has been broken off of my folding table and the lovely traintrack table has been broken because the Baby kept climbing on it and it is all broken in the back garden.
But I suppose it means we have more space. They will have to use the PVC mat track on the floor from now on.
The Mum has been claiming Universal Credits for the boys etc and she still has not paid the preschool fees so I have had to pay for this week or he could not go.
The social have finally informed DS they are going ahead with court proceedings and so now he can get legal aid. But nobody has told me when they plan on reassessment of me, or the financial package they were supposed to be offering me. I am watching the pennies now as my income is going down and expenses are going up.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

You need to push for this. Call your SW and tell them you need funding agreed now or it'll have to be foster care. Try and sound like you mean it.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
It would concern me that your son will be looking after the children in your home whilst you are away if the destruction after a few hours is anything to go by I would assume that the train table was wood as well as the table door not the easiest items for 2 small children to break if they are being properly supervisedKeeping both feet on solid ground0

Exactly!
He was obviously not watching them very well.
Hence why I have friends and family popping in when I am away and asocial worker is supposed to be coming by regularly .
Mum is back from France, think she brought the weather with her.
Dgd seems back to normal today.
I have a customer collecting items here around 9pm and then I will be going to bed. Even if it is only to stretch out as my back is not brilliant today.
Oh well, it could be worse, at least it's sunshine. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Time for bed. I sidetracked on Netflix.
Had a reply quite late in the evening from an email I sent to social earlier in the evening. I wasn't expecting to hear anything tonight.
But they have decided to do something about the contact and will let me know, as we were uncomfortable with the other options.
I have been advised that I should put in a claim for the child benefits so I will do that tomorrow. I will also speak to tax credits as I need to still do my end of year stuff! Tomorrow is going to be busy then. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
