Thanks you all so much for your kind wishes. Just proves what a lovely thread this is:). None of the nasty, sniping that you find elsewhere.:(

I've been to have my eyebrows shaped and tinted this afternoon. So all fabbing is done just shower and blow dry tomorrow then all my potions can be packed. That's one thing about long haul and generous hold luggage I don't have to worry about what I can take.

They did me a lovely mini pamper at the Benefit bar as it was quiet being a Tuesday afternoon. I didn't buy anything today but I have a small list of things I use regularly (moisturiser, Clinique face wash, Clarins serum) to buy duty free and I might add the Benefit concealer to that.

I've decided not to go dancing. Tonight I'm just going to put my feet up and relax.:)

Maman enjoy your trip. I am envious.
I have managed to book a haircut and a make up session.
When I retire I will look into the local college. Teedy thanks for reminding me although I may need reminding again before then.
I'm hoping to sort the washing out tonight so I can make use of my gym membership tomorrow.

I don't read much chick lit these days but I do love Sophie Kinsella, I think she writes books under other names as well.

She also has written under the name of Madeleine Wickham (which is her real name, I believe) - these novels are slightly different from the Sophie Kinsella ones.

Made my decision on the cleanser & moisturiser - La Roche-Posay appears to suit my skin better so I've bought the full size cleanser and moisturiser which were on offer in B00ts at the weekend. :)

Another one popping on to wish Maman a lovely holiday. Will you be doing 'The Golden Triangle' or will you be elsewhere in India?

  • Have a great time in India, Maman. I went to Kerala a couple of years ago with my daughter and we had an amazing time. It was the first time I had ever been somewhere that was completely different and unfamiliar. With the globalisation of the modern world so many places now look the same but in Kerala there was no HSBC or New Look or indeed, anything familiar to us. It was a really exciting experience to be in a completely new culture. You'll have a fab time.

Oh, and that generous luggage allowance will come in handy on the way home. We packed an empty bag in our suitcase and brought it back full - clothes, hand-quilted bed spreads, jewellery etc. I even treated myself to a beautiful emerald green sari (which I have worn twice!:j)
  • Maman, I hope you have a really good time on holiday in India :D
