    Hello Ladies,

Candygirl I hope your heating is finally in working order tonight.

LL great news for you with regards to your cruise to Iceland. I forgot to say congratulations on losing 5 inches off your waist. Your hour glass figure must be even more attractive now.

I went to Karaoke last night. I only sang 2 songs but I had a really good night out. :D

I finally got around to getting my nearest neighbour to countersign my passport form and one of my photos. I went to the Post Office and used their check and send service for a fee of £9.75 to make sure there were no mistakes and my neighbour had used a gel pen which was not allowed so I had to come home and get her to fill in her part of the new form in ball point pen and sign another photo, then return to the Post Office. I have to wait up to 3 weeks and my new passport will be delivered to me by Secure Delivery. :D

I am having a lovely relaxing evening on my own as my daughter has been given a evening shift of work. :D

Oh those passport forms can be such a faff. I've done so many over the years and you do have to be so careful to use the right pen and sign within the box etc. Hopefully it's not a busy time of the year sugarbaby so yours should arrive soon.:) It'll make your holiday seem so much more real.:)

Getting quite excited about my holiday now. So much so that I ended up with a pain in the neck!:( I've had a headache since Thursday so was getting quite concerned. I went to see the GP and he suggested it might be a tension headache (what tension?). Strangely enough, now I know it's nothing serious it isn't bothering me so much.

I had to postpone my eyebrow wax until tomorrow because of the last minute GP appointment but I did have my nails done. I now have bright red finger and toenails.:D

While I was waiting in the nail shop I made a note of all the things I need to pack. I know everything's clean so tomorrow or Wednesday I just need to put it all in the suitcase. I'll probably leave it until after I've had my shower on Wednesday as then I can put all the toiletries, hair dryer etc in.

Sorry this has been a bit me, me today. I have been keeping up with posts. So sorry to hear about the heating problems. S*d's Law says it has to happen now.

Ooh Maman....so exciting. When do you actually fly. I'm sure you will have a fantastic time.

SUgarbaby. Good idea to get the post office to check your passport application. A slip up can cause serious delays and you really don't need that stress. Is it May when you go.

Yes I'm really pleased with my inch loss, it takes me out of the danger zone . I'm even more pleased that my blood sugar levels were better this morning. It's slow progress but at least it's all going in the right direction.

My eldest son and DIL went to Barcelona for a long weekend, celebrating my DIL finishing her work for her pitch for academic funding for her "big idea" and the university telling her (off the record) that she is on to a winner. The weather there was lovely and mild and they took my grandson to the aquarium and the zoo.

My DIL is brilliant at finding the most amazing travel bargains, actually both DILs are. This time a 5 star hotel overlooking the beach for peanuts. I don't know how she does it. I think I shall have to get her on my case In future and let her find me some good deals.;)

    LL sent you a pm
  • I've been very good this month so far, eating more fruit and veg and not eating crisps. I've been drinking lots of water as well as a few cups of green tea a day.

I woke up this morning with a spot on my chin!:rotfl:

I assume my body must be detoxing or something as I haven't had a spot in ages!

I couldn't even think what you do with spots. I put some neat lavender essential oil on it.:D

I've been monitoring my blood pressure and looking at the blood pressure chart online. It veers from ideal blood pressure to slightly pre-high blood pressure so I think I will keep an eye on that for a few weeks.

    Hope everyone is okay!:A

Not to do with fabbing and I have tried not to mention the 'B' Word......

Just thought people might not have realised that if we exit the EU on March 29th without a deal, you will have to have at least six months on your passport before travelling to the EU. Many countries already ask for this.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/passport-rules-for-travel-to-europe-after-brexit

Mine expires in May 2020 so I will have to renew it the end of 2019.

Hope this helps people who might not have realised.

    OK.....As we were!

Hi , not had time to be here as my two wee visitors have been rather full on, at 6 and 7 yr old and moving in with a stranger for a week (not the best timing either) they are understandably upset and confused about things. However I have still found a little time for fabbing. I had my hair cut and coloured, full head of foils, and looks waayy better, at £43 a bit of a steal really. I also had a lovely facial and galvanic treatment yesterday, I saw a difference straight away, so hopefully this will get better over the next three sessions @ £5 each I'm a daylight robber, love the college.
Moll I remember the "June" they amalgamated at one point and became the "June and school friend"
Keep warm ladies and obviously fabulous.

That's useful information 7DW. We need 6 months for India but, as you said, that's fairly common. I think one of the issues could be that some people (with more money than sense IMO) will want to get a dark blue/black British passport so might replace early. It might disappoint them to know that they won't be like the (big) old ones though as all passports now have to fit into the scanning machines.

We fly out tomorrow evening LL. Today I have to go and get my eyebrows done but otherwise I'm just doing a few bits around the house. I'm hoping to go dancing this evening but I still have this head/neck ache so I'll leave it until later to decide.

I remember those comics from way back too. They always seemed to have one story about a group of wealthy girls in a boarding school who inevitably went to the South of France or similar for their holidays. I was recalling this to DH a couple of years ago when we were in a beach club in Turkey and said they always ended up in a pedalo and I'd always wanted to go on one. Bless him, he hired one and I got my wish!:D Poor man, I don't think I was much use pedalling but I loved every minute.

I'm doing well on my current book. Chick lit is so much easier than the classics/serious literature so I think a balance is a good idea. I plan to put in a few books to take with me. They're CS buys so I'll be able to leave them in hotels. I'll also be having plenty of water, walking quite a bit and even a few swims maybe. I'm hoping for some time for reflection too so should have some further goals when I get back.:)

Ooh I remember "School Friend". :rotfl:

    Good morning lovely ladies...,

It's a horrible yucky day here, so dark and miserable with the sort of damp cold that makes me seize up. I would rather have minus temperatures and clear skies than this.

Roll on spring, I have had enough of winter now, the novelty has worn off. :rotfl:

Will give myself a gentle moisturising facial later. My skin feels like a parched alligators.

I don't read much chick lit these days but I do love Sophie Kinsella, I think she writes books under other names as well.

I had to stop reading her books on the train as they made me howl with laughter.:rotfl: Almost crying with laughter.:o

I hope you have a lovely time on holiday!:A
