Maman.....I think I will borrow your squash idea....I need to drink more water......easy enough in summer but I find it harder in winter.

Sounds like we are all doing well with our goals.

    Onwards and upwards. :rotfl:
  • It is so cold freezing here as the heating packed in. The fire would not light so headed to bed. I have to bear with it till it is fixed tomorrow or going to book into a hotel. Even without heating my house is still warmer than places I have lived before. I lived in house where you could see our breathe inside the house and took of a coat to head out!

My healthy eating was not ideal this week as ate little today and then had apple pie only for dinner. I guess that i had less calories eating it but less nutrition than a dinner, sometimes you just want to eat rubbish only. I try to limit to only once a season or so. I have all healthy stuff but could not be bothered eating better. I might try to cook some healthy freezer foods

    Good morning lovely ladies.

SFT. Ouch to the heating...my house is still chilly despite the heating (lack of insulation and inefficient heating system) but at least I have some heat and I can supplement the central heating with gas fires, electrical oil filled radiators and now the open fire. It's a very expensive way of doing things but at least I can remain reasonably comfortable. I hope you get it fixed soon. And I don't blame you for heading off to a hotel if necessary.

Well here's a progress report and forgive me if I sound a bit smug.......but Ta Da. I have lost another couple of lbs and wait for it.......in the last 3 weeks I have lost a staggering 5 inches off my waist. Partly due to cutting out all wheat and dairy so reducing bloating (properly this time, no cheating) but also down to exercise and to toning up.

Moll......I have worked out I need to lose 8.2 lbs in 7 weeks if I am to make your birthday target. It is 22 weeks till my birthday in which to loose 1.8.2 stones. So just averageing 1lb a week. That should be a realistic target.

The bad news is my blood sugars are still a bit haywire so I shall now stop all fruit for a while, as well as going easy on starchy root winter veg.

It's a lovely bright sunny day here, but a very cold wind. Too cold for walking very far so I will cheat and go out in the car......:rotfl:

Hopefully later I can sit in my sunny "almost conservatory" and get some winter sun through the glass......better than nothing.

It would have been my 36th wedding anniversary this weekend and my husband would no doubt have whisked us off somewhere nice. Hey ho. Not to be. I know I could go away by myself but I don't fancy it this time.

This time last year I was in the Caribbean.........sigh. If I blew some of the house renovation budget I could be there now. :rotfl: I'll be good though and resist the temptation.

It will soon be spring. ;)

  • I'm going back to properly counting WW points today and writing down everything I eat in a diary.

I want to lose that 7 pounds in time for the gig as I suddenly thought I might bump into a few people I used to know there.:D

I want to check my blood pressure later too as I have a monitor. I had very high blood pressure a few years ago due to stress and I used to check it regularly but haven't done it in ages!

Oh Candy. That is grim. Hope you are ok......I know the cold exacerbates the pain in your legs ..........get the doggies to snuggle up with you for extra warmth.

Those heated throws are a boon though. I treated myself to one this year. I dithered for ages but it costs so much to use my gas fire in the lounge (and the heating alone isn't enough When you are relaxing of an evening). It's been a godsend and the heat also helps when my knee is painful.

Just popped to Asda for a few bits, had a mooch round the chazzer next door but didn't buy anything. I noticed spring clothes are now starting to make an appearance. Always a welcome sight......nice to see some colour.

Although I am not planning to buy much in the way of clothes this year if I do spot something amazing in a chazzer in my next size down I might well make an investment. I have plenty of next size down jeans and trousers, a few nice smart dresses but I am a bit low on tops. Hopefully this year I can get away with just filling in a few gaps and then treating myself to something really gorgeous if it comes within my radar.

I have been looking at UK mini breaks by coach. I think I might try a couple of short "taster" trips - see how I go. The solo supplements don't seem too bad.

Ok so febs goals are to gym three times a week. Stick with the water. Finish Jans book and get into febs. Eat more veg with dinner. Continue with the skincare and hopefully loose 9 lbs.
