Fab news! Zeus has healed well n had stitches out, but has had another blood test 're the bleeding , n I've picked Bon up from kennels, so chaos reigns once again :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Wednesday, the physio on the programme did say women who haven't had children do still get the problem so probably a good idea to do them. Like eandjsmum I did learn them at antenatal classes but don't think they were quite so frank with the instructions e.g. think you are in a lift with your boss/mother in law/secret crush and know that you are about to do an absolutely horrendous fart and try to stop it. I was driving at the time and some of it, funnier than the fart in the lift, did make me laugh.
eandjsmum I saw that offer for the makeover at Boots. Thinking about doing it, can't hurt can it?0 -
Brilliant news Candygirl, enjoy the chaos.0

Humpty don't feel guilty for living a life, just remember to do it fabulously.
Lantanna, hibernate while wearing a face mask and moisturising your lashes and lips, when you emerge from the cocoon into spring you'll be ready for anything
Lol I just might do that, I’ve just booked myself a week in Tenerife in March, seriously craving some heat.0 -
Lantanna Tenerife in March sounds wonderful. What are you planning for your 40th? I’m 40 too this year and am looking for ways to mark the occasion.
Candy girl well done Zeus.
Maman your outfits for India sound perfect. What an amazing adventure you will both go on.
I had my facial and massage today via groupon, which was a let down, but as I only paid £20, I’m not too fussed. The salon was freezing when I arrived and therapist told me to take off my top for the massage. I told her that the room was feeezing and she got all defensive and said it wasn’t her fault. After a bit of back and forth I decided to proceed with the treatment, but it wasn’t the most enjoyable. It’s a shame the company let themselves down.
Tomorrow is my last day off, before I start my new job next week. OH also has the day off, so we are going to go out for lunch. I Will be dressed for warmth as it is freezing outside and I just can’t get warm.0 -

As I've treated myself to all new knickers from Victoria's Secret I don't want that to happen!:eek:I have had an email from boots flogging no7 but offering free makeover. Might look in to that also need to get my hair cut..
I think the make up counters (like most places) are really quiet at the moment. I had a mini make over in Benefit in JL on Monday. I only stopped there to make my eyebrow appointment for next week and they offered. They used a concealer under my eyes that was great, really light (comes in 4 or 5 shades) and didn't cake at all. My plan is to treat myself at the airport to the various products on my list.I’ve just booked myself a week in Tenerife in March, seriously craving some heat.
They say the best way to get over holiday blues is to book another one.:D I always think it's good to have something to look forward to.
Today's funeral went off well. DH is working this evening so we didn't stay behind for refreshments. Sounds selfish but I really didn't need nibbles or drinks.
Pleased to hear you got good news about your dog candy. Yes, I am looking forward to some shopping while we're away. Humpty says I should be able to buy shalwar khameez quite cheaply.0 -
I hope you get the shalwar khameez maman, my daughter got hers from a market I think. I'm sure you will see some lovely stuff, daughter says haggle.0

Welcome to our little gang. You have definitely come to the right place for guidance. The wise ladies on here will have lots of helpful tips to help your on your journey to Fabdom.
First of all let me say that you don't need to have a lot of money to take care of yourself and Improve your appearance. You can make a start without spending a penny. And yes, you can actually work miracles - even if you are absolutely skint.
Here are some ideas to get you started. And they're all free:D
1. Sleep. Lots of it. It's not called beauty sleep for nothing.
2. Drink lots of water.
3. Eat a healthy diet......and no it doesn't need to cost more. Cut out the crap, small portions of meat and fish and fill up on vegetables and healthy grains if you can manage them.
4. Exercise. Walking, dancing, yoga etc can all be done for nothing. You don't need to join a gym.
5. Skin care. You don't need to spend a fortune, you can make products from ingredients in your kitchen.
6. Shop from your wardrobe.
7. Posture, stand straight and move gracefully.
8. Think about your voice. There are many good looking people who let themselves down the minute they open their mouths.
In all honesty the big secret to looking good is grooming, grooming, grooming and more grooming, and that is free.
Simply start with washing and styling your hair, taking care of your skin, keeping your nails nice, you don't have to wear nail polish, just make sure they are clean and neatly shaped, make sure your clothes are clean and nicely pressed, no missing buttons or trailing hems, shine your shoes, no laddered tights and so on.
If you have a few pennies to spare There are plenty of budget ranges of skin care products and cosmetics. Try Aldi, Lidl, Superdrug.
If you do need to buy additional clothing then take a good look at charity shops or eBay.
But.....the biggest change you can make on your journey to fabulousity is to embrace life, to be happy, cheerful, optimistic and enthusiastic. Learn to smile at strangers, to be kind and generous to everyone you come into contact with, to laugh everyday and to find joy in just simply being alive.
Enthusiasm is infectious, kindness is contagious and even the plainest person looks attractive when their eyes are lit up with a smile.
Don't be hard on yourself, take it slowly and gently and treat yourself with TLC.
And when you fall off the wagon......and you will ......then just pick yourself up and start again.
And remember Fabbing isn't a punishment, it's a pleasure..

I've been lurking for a long time. I have to say lessonlearned I find your positivity very encouraging.
I have been recently widowed and I am trying to maintain enthusiasm for getting myself together, making an effort, to remember who I am, and getting out to socialise.0
