So from now on I shall pay that bit extra and get what I really want.

I am sooooo worth it. :rotfl:

Popped into a couple of chazzers, both selling items at £1. You wouldn't believe the bargains I scooped up. Spent £8 and picked up two jackets, 5 tops and shirts and a brand new full length black silk slip......made by a local company called David Nieper. They used to retail at £120 but I think they have been discontinued. I checked their website and could only see satin ones and they were £77.

    LL

David Neipers factory is in my home town ,Theyve just renamed the Senior School after them , as Neipers have turned it into an Acadamy ....Thier clothes are second to none , even have the Queens stamp . A friend of mine used to be a machinist for them , and the standards are so high , A lot get rejected on the cutting room floor if they dont think theyve hit the high spot .
Im glad youve found a hair style you like that suits you , Youll look a million dollars for the Christening with your weight loss too , Well done xx

LL I loved the Bodyguard too . I didnt expect some people to get killed off in it , Another series ive loved is Line of Duty , That was brilliant
My husband is very different on the fabbing front , Hes never been a suit person , although he looks good suited and booted , Hes a casual t shirt man and jeans , but no one believes his age ( 67) hes always kept himself in good shape , and knocked about 2o years off his age in looks .serioulsy ,We all call him Peter Pan , he just says its because ive looked after him lol,
Hes taking off on the 8th with some neighbours , Theyve all bought a motercycle and been enjoying riding to places on Sundays , but they are heading off to France/ Belgium / Germany for a week on the 8th. The others have been before , go off somewhere every Summer for a week on the bikes ( Think they did Switzerland last year ) First time hes gone with them , so hope he comes home in one piece. Hope they get better weather than what we got today . Rain
Had 2 of my grandchildren overnight on Friday , as the baby is teething and Mum & Dad were looking a bit frazzled around the ages due to lack of sleep , so i offered ,,,,, they came for them next day ,just as my DS came with my other 2 grandaughters ( So ages 7. 5 & 2 not counting the baby. ) Luckily it was a nice day so i threw a couple of pop up tents on the garden for them to play in while i got a picnic for the big people ........ needless to say by evening , the bath was full of hot bubbles and i relaxed soaking in quiet bliss
  • I changed the decor of my bedroom. Changed bedlinen, curtains, curtain poles and a few scatter cushions job done! It is only cosmetic but feels cleaner and fresher colour for summer with a light green and white. I love richer colours in the colder months.

I cleaned the house and it is boring. I seriously need to consider getting a Roomba to deal with the dust.

All the electrical devices seem to be giving me issues at the minute televisions and sky boxes, laptops and most likely next will be the microwave. It comes in waves. Everything breaks together.

I've only been to Stratford three times now and I quite like the area. I have probably mentioned that my husband and I are planning on retiring early, in five years time, and we were saying that Stratford might be one of the areas we would consider moving to.:)

I grew up not too far from Stratford, but moved away before it got trendy. I’m amazed at how different it is now and is unrecognisable from my childhood. It’s feels like being in a different country when driving around the Olympic park because most London regeneration is piecemeal, but in Stratford, they built a whole town.

    Good morning lovely ladies....

Looks like a nice morning, bright sunshine. :D

Molly...good to see you posting, didn't realise we are neighbours. :rotfl: your husband's road trip sounds fun.

The Bodyguard actor, Richard Madden, is also in Rocketman which I went to see yesterday. I won't reveal too much but I will say how much I enjoyed the film. I've always liked Elton Johns music, I never really new much about him and have never seen him perform live on stage. I thought the film was excellent, very imaginative....not just a straight bio pic it was done in the form of a musical. And the guy who played him was amazing.

I've also booked my ticket for The "Take That" event showing for this Saturday. Should be fun.

SFT. Your bedroom makeover sounds lovely. I like to do something similar, switching to lighter coloured accessories in the summer and going for warmer richer tones in winter.

Not sure what today brings........some more laundry, a trip to the local small ASDA for a few bits and then weigh in at WW this evening. Other than that if the weather holds maybe a bit of light gardening and make a start on the shed clearing. Its a big job so maybe just one section at a time, start on the easy wins.

    Always remembering the elephant. :D

Noticed a couple of interesting meet up outings coming up. No granny duties this week so hopefully I can go to the dancing one on Friday.

LL - Lol @ Posh and Becks. I probably have a good six stone on her.:rotfl:

I am going to do a hair treatment later, I am going to do it properly and wet my hair first before I put on the conditioner.

I was doing some people watching at the concert and there was one very attractive woman standing near us and her hair was in such good condition. I think it may have been straightened. She looked nice, she was wearing brown boots, a shortish white skirt and a leather biker jacket. She looked good.

I did see some women in those jumpsuits, hmm, not a good look if you are big, especially in pastel/pale colours.

I couldn't wear it either as it would make me look awful, like those wide legged trousers. It just wouldn't flatter me!

Those toe separators are often in the pound shops Wednesday so you should be able to pick them up quite cheaply.

I will probably look there or in Superdrug.:)

Everyone thinks my husband is in his twenties. It would actually be quite annoying for me but I would prefer that to him being bald and fat.:o:D

I was surprised how nice it was there.:A We are going to go out there later this month and have a proper look around the area.

    Hello Ladies,

I came home from my lovely 2 week holiday in Jamaica on Friday. :D I was really glad to get home though :D

I had a very good time, as I and my 2 sisters were all inclusive in a 5 star hotel in Montego Bay in Jamaica and as we had upgraded our seats on the plane to and from Jamaica which meant VIP lounges in Gatwick Airport and Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. :D:j

As I have 3 types of Arthritis and my 2 sisters have severe Asthma my sister H booked special assistance for all 3 of us with both Airports. No long walks through the Airport for any of us, we were each allocated a porter and wheelchair. We were also whizzed through Customs and our luggage was collected from the carousel and transported for us. :T :D:j

I used 50 factor sun lotion every day, reapplying it after every day in the pool. I have never spent so much time in a swimming pool in my life, but this was facilitated by a step around the pool, that all non swimmers could sit on and safely be immersed in the water up to their shoulders. I did my own set of pool exercises every day to make up for not being able to do my usual exercise DVDs at home. :D

I am about 5 shades darker than I usually am, but it does not bother me in the least, as I did it the safe way. :D

I only got a single mosquito bite on my right wrist on the day before we left our holiday resort. :D

There was so much to do on the resort apart from eating and drinking as much as you liked each day. There were themed entertainment shows every evening and a nightclub after the end of the show in a sister hotel that we had access to. There were beach parties, a pool party, Karaoke and lots of talented and skilled live singers and musicians every day. I danced so much that my legs ached. I got compliments on my dancing from other guests and members of staff every day. :D The massages proved to be too expensive for any of us to want to have one. I was unable to use the free spa spaces because of my hypertension, which was a shame.

I went on only 2 excursions with my 2 sisters. One of them was excellent, but the other one was a huge disappointment. The 3rd one we had booked and paid for in advance was cancelled due to bad weather so we got a full refund.

I had the a medium sized suitcase, but my 2 sisters had large suitcases, yet I took far more clothing with me than either of them did. I wore everything except one cardigan and a 4 embellished vest tops. I took with me, 14 skirts, 20 tops, 28 pairs of new size 14 briefs, 2 dresses, 4 cardigans, a pair of gold leather sandals, black leather sandals and white leather sandals, a green leather handbag, a black beaded handbag, a red leather handbag and a gold beaded handbag and that proved to be enough clothes and accessories to keep me looking fabulous every day. I had 7 swimsuits and a swimming cap and my 2 designer sunglasses that I have owned for years.

I suffer from oedema in my legs when they are too hot, inactive or not elevated enough throughout the day, so unfortunately with the very high temperatures in Jamaica, I frequently had swollen legs and/or feet, but I did not let it spoil my holiday.

I bought and used Boots Flight socks on both flights and they worked very effectively, so I did not get swollen feet or legs on either long haul flight. :T

I had 3 male admirers who were brave enough to show their interest. ;) 2 young black men from the entertainment team who were both only in their early twenties and a mature white man from America. I did not reciprocate any of their interest but it was extremely gratifying to have the 3 of them showing how much they liked me. :D

Chanie you were right about the bookcase of used books. It was in the hotel lobby. When I had read the 3 books I took to the hotel with me, I put them in the bookcase and took another book from the bookcase to read. I took this book home with me as I did not have enough time to finish it. :)

I had so much delicious food to eat on holiday because I did not have to cook it myself, but I kept to sensible portions. I made sure there were days when I had salad with some kind of protein for lunch and for dinner on some days. I did taste some fish that I had never encountered in my life before. I was very open to new taste experiences. I also had the most moist and tasty jerk chicken I had ever tasted. I mostly snacked on fresh fruit or fresh popcorn every day. There was a popcorn machine in the lobby snack area and I could help myself to fresh popcorn and choose not to add any sugar, salt or butter to it. I tried some tropical fruit that I found that I just did not like, but there was freshly prepared and fresh whole fruit available every day. I came home to find that I was now 15 stones 5lbs. :D:j

The holiday may have cost me over £3,000 all in including all of the new clothes, lingerie, sandals and handbags, and spending money, but I was worth every pound and penny. :D

I had everything unpacked on Friday. By Sunday morning, I had finally washed and dried the last load of my holiday clothes and they were all hanged up.

I went to Karaoke last night and I had a really fun evening. :D
