I've always had my measurements done at Debenhams Wednesday and I've found them to be okay.
Oh, I might try there, thanks.:)You've obviously found a supplier that works for you Wednesday.
Yes, ASOS have a big range of clothes, some are much more pricy than others.
I would say the sizing is a little off if anyone orders from there though. Size 14 is slightly too big on me.0 -
Noble.....it's exactly what I would have come to expect from him. It's who he is. Nobody asked him to forfeit the game, it was his idea. Bless his heart.
He actually went one better......
He bought his ticket (as a season ticket holder he gets an allocation) and gifted it to his friend who couldn't get one. His friend did of course reimburse my son but as you can imagine he was thrilled to bits to get a ticket (and at a fair price, not an inflated one).
Like father, like son.....it's just the kind of generous selfless gesture my husband would have made.
Paying it forward......:rotfl:
Like his father before him he has also decided to forego a season ticket for the next few years so that he can spend weekends with his new family.
It was actually DS1s birthday yesterday but we are all so busy at the moment, with work commitments and clashing schedules it was impossible to celebrate either Saturday or Sunday so today is a bit of a compromise. Shame because even the weather isn't as good today. Hey ho.
Thanks for the bra fitting info....that will be next on my to do list. It won't be long before I need to buy new underwear.0 -
I live within walking distance of one of the London clubs football stadiums and grew up down the road from another. Quite ironic, as I have no interest in football. DS ‘discovered’ football during the last World Cup and has been football mad ever since. We have bought tickets for a friendly match over the summer, at our local stadium. It is costing under £50 for the four of us, but it’s a shame that normal match tickets are so expensive. There is plenty of poverty around the two stadiums I know of and it’s a shame that local people are priced out of supporting their local team.0

You're right Chanie......many ordinary folk have been priced out of both live football and now of course pay TV also makes it expensive to watch the big games on TV.
Well. good morning lovely ladies.....
the BBQ was a bit soggy in places but we had a good time anyway. I gave all the naughty leftovers away and am now back on plan. Need to finish cleaning up and then go food shopping later.
Might have a little mooch round a couple of chazzers..
Have a great day.0 -
Well done on giving away the left overs LL. Now you can go out and buy healthy food!
I know you're right about football. Despite what they say in the media, clubs don't really care about fans. It's all about money and what fans pay (although extortionate) is a tiny drop in the ocean compared with TV revenue. It must be difficult to understand if you're not a fan yourself but it's about an emotional tie you get to your own club. I'm happy to walk away from a supermarket, a bank and even a political party at timesbut it's somehow harder with a football club.
Dancing tonight and out to lunch with former colleagues tomorrow so plenty to get fabbed up for.
I'm conscious I've let my reading slide this month but will make up for it soon. Why do I find it easier to read on a sun lounger?? :rotfl:0 -
I keep spending lately.:o
I lost my watch a while ago, I think it must have been in a hand bag that I donated to a charity shop as I can't find it!
I bought some new perfume and two pairs of sandals and a watch. The sandals are the same style as the comfortable ones I have, just in different colours.
I'm looking forward to going out this weekend. We are going to see the new Godzilla film, eat out in a restaurant and then go to the concert.:)2025 GOALS

May was a dreadful month for me spending wise......£250 on the car prang bill, £108 on the pest control, DS2s birthday bash and presents. and I have to confess .....maybe a few too many chazzer shop bargains. :rotfl: hopefully June won't be quite so expensive. I will have some building work to lay out for but that's in a special budget.
It's horrible here and the clean up is taking longer than expected. I'm really tired and achey and I have granny duties tomorrow so I have decided to skip the shopping And just coast a bit today. I have got enough food in, I won't starve. :rotfl:
Like you Maman I've got a stack of unread books so I might just curl up later.....:D0 -
Brrrrrrr but it's cold.......cold, wet and miserable. Hey ho it's supposed to be warming up again this weekend.
I've just got back from granny duties, going to eat, get warm and cosy and snuggle down for a quiet evening. The food shop can wait one more day......:rotfl:0 -
It's miserable and wet here too LL although not too cold.:(
I've been out to lunch with friends today so got myself fabbed up. They're former work colleagues and, vain though it sounds, I always like to look my best because I'm sure we all look at each other to see how we've worn over the years since we worked together.
I wore my Zara maxi dress (again!:D) with the buttons open to the waist with my wide legged trousers underneath. It looked good and DH complimented me when I got back.:) The dress wasn't the cheapest but cost per wear it's been a really good buy.
I'm driving to London tomorrow to help DGD1 pack up from her student house. It's only 70 miles away but the traffic will probably be appalling.
I'm looking forward to a comfortable night in too. Enjoy!:)0 -
It's been awful weather here today, so have been trying to carry on decluttering, but Bonnie's been playing up.She refuses point blank, to go out in the rain , so has excess energy to wear off, ends up bugging me all day:rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
