OH NO!! 80s night cancelled, am gutted for you, was so looking forward to hearing about it and I know that you were looking forward to going.

Sorry you feel a bit rubbish - still - you still have another couple of engagements to keep you (and your avid readers) entertained, so hope you feel better very soon.

Yes, a day relaxing in your garden sounds like bliss - am jealous - enjoy

A pottering day to yourself sounds good LL. Is that it for the regular childcare now?

Sorry about the dancing but there'll be other occasions. :) Thanks for reminding me about sore eyes. It's something I always suffer from when I'm abroad in the sun. I'm not sure whether it's the air con that does it or the temperatures or what. I bought a product that you spray over your eyelids although yet to try it.

Off to afternoon tea and the theatre tonight. I'm going to try on my new dress and if I'm sure then I'll wear it. Otherwise I think I'll wear the spotty culottes from Asda. So black and white spots whatever happens!:D

    That is a shame LL.

I'm out to my GP appointment in a minute to get the blood test results. it's lovely and sunny here today.

My new clothes are meant to be delivered around 1.30.:) I hope they fit okay as it's sometimes a gamble buying clothes from a store you haven't tried before.

I bought a new bra too. I've gone down three cup sizes in the past few months.:rotfl:

Happy Friday, Fabbers (ever better - its a bank holiday weekend)

Wednesday I hope your new items are keepers.

Maman enjoy your afternoon tea and theatre.

I am working from home today - I was on election duty yesterday and didn't get home until after 10:30pm, so I am knackered. Working in a polling station allows me to do some people watching, which I know Maman enjoys. I don't live in a wealthy area, so most people aren't dressed up, but you could still tell who made the effort.

We don't have any plans for this weekend, but may go out somewhere over the weekend.

I can't remember the last time I left my GP feeling so positive.:D

Apart from a slight folic acid deficiency, everything is back to normal range. No diabetes risk, good B12 levels, good iron levels and normal cholesterol.

My thyroid is back into the normal range already as well. No wonder as I have been feeling less tired since being on the tablets.:T

My new clothes arrived while I was out and I'm about to try them on.

That's fantastic news, Wednesday. Things are definitely looking up.

Well rather than sit in the deckchair feeling sorry for myself I got cracking. I planted new saplings, did a load of weeding and general tidying up, then watered everything because the ground seems very dry.

I just paced myself with lots of little rests so as not to aggravate my knee. Anyway I feel really pleased with what I have achieved today. Sometimes it's good to just push yourself a bit rather than giving in and feeling all "woe is me".

Lots of nice healthy foods today, thats the fridge almost empty so i can give it a good clean tomorrow before I stock up again.

I'm already at 6 portions of fruit and veg today and I have not even had dinner yet. I will easily get to my 10 today.

I'm out for the day tomorrow so a chilled evening, watching a nice film.

Re the granny duties.....no not finished but June will be a light month, maybe once a week. He starts full time nursery in September so it's only really the summer we have to worry about. I will probably be needed a bit more in July and August. I don't mind. I deliberately didn't book any holidays for this summer. I can divide my time between granny duties, the garden and making a start on a bit of decorating.

I don't think I will be doing any more major renovations this year, not decided yet. It all depends on how demanding building control are going to be.......if I have to rip the loft apart and move the staircase (which is what I suspect they will want me to do) then I'll put in on hold for now.

Unfortunately I would not want to go away and leave the builders to it with a job that size and complexity, I would want be around. It's not a quick easy fix so I'm not going to rush in blindly. I want to take time to plan it all properly and make sure I get it right.

I probably won't be able to afford a big fancy holiday anyway.....:rotfl: at least not for the length of time it will take to do the work. I am still thinking about a cheap winter break though. I'll look out for a last minute bargain.;)

Nice day here, went out for lunch and did some shopping on the way home. I had a voucher for £6 off a £40 spend at Sainsburys and some other vouchers so ended up with £9.25 off an amost £50 shop. I did the last £10 in two bits so got the extra nectar points that Martin has in his e mail this week and finally used my cashback credit card which only comes to 25p but hey every little helps. So I am putting £10 into savings. I'm doing well keeping a record of what I am spending so I am hoping savings will go well.
