    Hello Ladies,

eandjsmum, please do not give up on your weight loss journey. Sometimes our weight loss will plateau and it can feel like what is the point of all of the exercise and the healthy eating, but eventually if you stick with it, the weight loss will start happening again. :) You must be a very accomplished dressmaker to make yourself a dress and a skirt. I applaud your skill. :D

[Not really I learnt to sew at school, but there are still some fabrics that scare me especially stretchy and slippery ones
I have managed to cut the skirt out , every piece had to be cut separately and I've cut the dress pattern pieces out but I need some dress lining .

My suitcase is packed and almost full for my upcoming holiday. :D I am just waiting for some more of the 'new' items of clothing I bought to arrive from eBay to wash and dry them, iron them if they need it and pack them.

    Enjoy your holiday

I have missed swimming g this week as Monday was a bank holiday , as I now only work 4 days a week perhaps ill get an extra session in on Friday . I usually go Wednesdays as well but will have to miss that this week.

I have an under active thyroid, n have lost a stone in a month on WW .I never use it as an excuse as to why i'm overweight, but it's a medical fact that hypothroidism, and hyperthroidism affect the metabolism :(
WEDNESDAY you have done brilliantly well :D:T

sugar some hotels have a ‘library’ of books left behind that guests can help themselves to. I quite like reading books that I may otherwise have discovered.

    Good morning lovely ladies

Well that's my plans for today out of the window.....it's chucking it down,:rotfl: and likely set for the day. So Plan B. A pampering and pottering about day.

Going to go through my wardrobe and have a trying on session. Should be interesting to see what now fits and what is now too big. :D

    Have a great day y'all.

Yes exactly, there are lots of symptoms for hyperthyroidism, weight gain is just one of them.

They actually told me my thyroid was borderline back in 2008 so I'm wondering if I have had the problem since then as I didn't chase it up and ask for more blood tests!

Considering that I have had undiagnosed hyperthyroidism, fibromyalgia where some months I could barely walk as well as chronic migraines and vertigo it's a wonder I have managed to lose weight at all over the past couple of years.:rotfl:

You are doing fab as well Candygirl. Inspirational.:T

To change the subject completely, I have been binge watching the most recent series of the American show The Real Housewives of Atlanta yesterday. I really like those reality shows.

I also like that the women on the shows aren't "young" the youngest is usually in her early thirties and go up to in their sixties but they are all very well groomed. I mean I know they probably all have cosmetic surgery and have stylists but it just shows how you can look great at any age!:)

Some of their outfits I wouldn't wear though, I have to say.:rotfl:

They are shown on ITVBe over here if anyone is interested. I think you can catch up on the hub.

Ooh I might give that programme a whirl......sounds fun.

One of my "guilty pleasures" is the "The Good Fight". It's a follow on series from the "Good Wife". It's set in the US (I think Chicago) and it's about a law firm.....the women are impossibly glamourous and all live in the most ridiculously expensive sumptuous apartments so it's not even remotely realistic, but the clothes are fab. :rotfl:

Speaking of clothes I've had a good old wardrobe sort out this morning and tried on stuff I haven't worn in years (would you believe some things even still have tags on:eek:::rotfl:).

And they all fit beautifully. :j:j.

Perfect for all those fun dates with gorgeous guys.....ha ha.

I think I mentioned I joined a dating website......alas no takers yet but it's early days.

    I'm in no hurry. ;)

I think thyroid issues are notoriously difficult to diagnose and blood tests aren't always very accurate, lots of false negatives and borderlines.

I didn't realise mine might be causing problems until my nails started turning opaque and lifting from the nail bed. I also have the classic outer third of my eyebrows missing.......:rotfl:

And my blood tests showed no indication, they came back normal.

My new necklaces arrived. They were from Cavendish Jewellers in York. They came in boxes wrapped in gold gift wrapping. I'm very pleased. I have cleared some space and dedicated a drawer just for jewellery today.:)

I keep going to look in there to admire it. :rotfl:

I was reading Thyroid UK and I think they fob people off as it is quite expensive to treat as you get an exemption certificate for free prescriptions. They were saying on there to ask them what the results were as some GPs just say it is normal without giving you the actual result.
