That dress does fit me now but it is not particularly flattering as it is very clingy! That can be donated.

I'm wearing a wrap "Annabelle" dress instead that I got from a charity shop. I can feel that the material is good quality as it is quite heavy.:)

I'm off to do my at home workout.

    Hello Ladies,

Maman only 13 more days to go before my sisters and I fly to Jamaica :j:D

That's soooo exciting! I'm looking forward to hearing about it all and I'm not even going. :D
What in the world? Maybe they buy a lot of the WW ready meals and things.

I am just using the WW book that I got from a friend free back in 2003!:rotfl: I was saying on the WW thread that I have been veggie so long (26 years) that I eat a lot of the same foods as back then.

I agree. I think WW is now very similar to SW. Over the years, veggies and lean protein haven't changed so if you don't eat much in the way of processed foods then the points (or syns in the case of SW) aren't relevant. :)

I think you're right that over time we're being fab every day LL . Although I often wear my 'one mile' clothes to go to the shops I've fabbed up those too. :)

We had a super day at Exbury. It has a national collection of rhododendrons and azaleas and they're at their best at this time of the year. We did amble in the morning looking at the plants but after lunch DH and I had a brisk walk to the river so good exercise as well. :)

I did get fabbed up. Smart casual so black jeggings and my red Reiss long sleeved top with my black quilted jacket. The weather stayed dry with intermittent sun but I did wear my Raybans.

    Good morning lovely ladIes

As I type the Any Old Iron Man is coming down our street, playing the Steptoe theme tune......:rotfl:

Well so much for my gardening plans......there's a bitterly cold wind and it's far too cold for me. I am very much a fair weather gardener. It was absolutely dreadful here yesterday and it's not a whole lot better today. I think I'll crack on with some cleaning and sorting out some more stuff to declutter.

Weight loss still going ok. I struggled yesterday. I had a bit of a "widow" day. I felt very low and really wanted nothing more than to sulk and comfort eat. Pleased to say I resisted and managed to stay focussed and resolutely optimistic. I was rewarded this morning when the scales registered another slight loss.

Just got to keep on plodding on.

Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday, despite the weather. :D

I just went for a walk and it was horrible out there, very windy and raining. Now I'm indoors it has changed and turned all bright and sunny!

I wore my newly dyed purple cardigan today.:)

I have lurked on the SW thread to see how it is different to WW.

It's like you are all talking in code, I had to look up what HEA and HEB stood for.:D

:rotfl: It does take a while to get used to the terms I suppose. I've been doing it for so long now that it's become second nature. :) The HEA and HEB are simply Healthy Extras that are advised to ensure daily calcium and fibre. Then we have the Speed which are all the healthy fruits and veggies that Speed up weightloss. You have your points, we have syns which are the treats. I don't think it matters, both are healthy, balanced ways of eating. The terms and the quantities just make it easier. I think we all know that having lean protein with veg and limiting treats is the best way to eat. :)

It's been cold here as well LL. This day last year we were at my nephew's wedding and it was baking hot. British weather is so unpredictable. :(

We've been out today to lunch with friends and then a matinee at the theatre. Because of the wintry weather I wore my Zara culottes with opaque tights and my green chiffon blouse but I kept my little black cardi on all day. The only difference from real winter was that I wore ballet flats instead of boots! :D

It's interesting what you said about comfort eating. Until I started SW (the only 'diet' I've ever done) I hadn't been aware of what an emotional relationship some people have with food. :(

I've had sinus type headaches for the last couple of days. It may be the weather as air pressure can affect me. I'll maybe take some decongestants if they don't go away soon. They're making me feel very heavy eyed so fabbing is essential. Nothing much planned for tomorrow so I'm going to pamper myself. :D

Not loosing anywhere like as much weight as I would like so I either need to try harder or give up. Thinking of trying slimming world after my birthday this week..
I've also found a dress pattern and some fab red batik cotton so instead of moping around in going to make myself a dress. Ive also unearthed some red cotton drill and a pattern that I brought to make a skirt so I'm going to do that as well.
I have a girly spa day planned for next Sunday' to celebrate my birthday as it is a big one. Oh and I broke a nail right down to the quick it looks awful and I hate that when it happens. Broke it at the gym actually trying to loose weight.

Oh dear eandjsmum - sounds like you're not having much fun. I actually sliced my thumb with a carving knife the other day. :rotfl:

    Good morning lovely ladies.....

Up bright and early this morning, already done a quick trip to Asda, managed to pick up some yellow stickered meat and fish for the freezer. I shall be eating like a duchess this month.

It's a good job really, I had a really spendy month last month, not helped by the fact that I ran into someone's car......:rotfl: the damage came to £250 so rather than claim and affect my bonus I decided to just settle it myself. Could have done without that......

Anyway my freezers and food cupboards are groaning so I'll have a use up month and claw back some of the overspend. I am still being quite conservative on the clothes spending, although I will probably need some new bras before long.

Other than that not much happening here. The weather is so so, fortunately the wind has dropped and it's warmer so I'm going to crack on with a bit of gardening later, at least cut the lawns.

Then tonight I'll have a bit of a pamper session.

    Hello Ladies,

eandjsmum, please do not give up on your weight loss journey. Sometimes our weight loss will plateau and it can feel like what is the point of all of the exercise and the healthy eating, but eventually if you stick with it, the weight loss will start happening again. :) You must be a very accomplished dressmaker to make yourself a dress and a skirt. I applaud your skill. :D

LL the important thing about the car crash is that the only thing that was damaged was the other driver's car, not you or any other human being :D

I am really pampering myself today before I go to Karaoke tonight. My sister H, my niece M and her partner B are also coming to Karaoke. The pub has a special licence until 1am on Monday, so we will all enjoy ourselves tonight :D

My suitcase is packed and almost full for my upcoming holiday. :D I am just waiting for some more of the 'new' items of clothing I bought to arrive from eBay to wash and dry them, iron them if they need it and pack them.

I really like the idea of fab friday as it gives focus on doing something great for yourself. I often feel that i don't deserve it or that it is for someone else. I have spend most of my life with little and not looking for more. When you get the feeling that you don't deserve or should not waste money on self; that feeling lingers deep in the marrow.

I can allow myself to continue this fallacy as really who determines who deserves stuff? No one! So onward on upwards. If I don't project some self worth then how do I expect to receive it?

I would like to make hair appointments more often than every six months. I need to replace shoes as I tend to wear them till they fall apart and I need to take time to focus on myself and being more positive.

Humpty- hope the new meds are working for you. At least you are being well monitored. It can take a while for a body to adjust.

Lessons - I think the high weight watcher price would read meals and food choice. It is not expensive to eat healthy- especially with lidl and aldi. It costs more to eat rubbish. Eating in season and cupboard essentials make it doable. Showing massive costs of eating well are a barrier to people making the first step.

Sugar- you are an inspiration. Enjoy Jamaica! It will be great to get away and enjoy the sunshine

Maman- hopefully the sunshine is just around the corner. I always think that in this part of northern Europe we have only one wardrobe that we add layers to in winter and remove the occasional in summer. I am always amazed with people who have "winter" and "summer" as the weather is so changeable. Your outfit sounded very fashionable.

eandjsmum - the nail is painful as so many nerves in the hands. Keep it covered as nothing is worse than the pain when doing hair with a damaged nail as it snags. Keep going and all the benefit will come together. enjoy your birthday!
