Just 3lbs to go and you'll have lost 2 stones too sugarbaby.:T How long to go before your holiday?

Glad to hear the scales are shifting for you at last too Wednesday.:T I know it can be disheartening but you mustn't give up. Eating good food has to be better for your health.

I watched a programme in the Save Money, Lose Weight series. They always test out a 'diet' over 28 days and this week was WW. What surprised me was that they said it cost £500 for the month. That seems excessive to me, I'm even wondering if I got it wrong:think:. Even taking out the cost of joining and weekly fees I can't see where they got that figure from. Do you find WW expensive? :)

Hi, not feeling great on new med regime, hoping it all settles soon. Got several blood tests booked over the next few months so going to be like a pin cushion. I have got myself up and out to vote, I always vote. Then we had lunch out, I didn't have much as no appetite but it was pleasant
Got most of the family visiting this weekend so have been busy changing beds and having a bit of a spring clean. Going to try and have a rest now to build up my energy.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling brilliant. Do pace yourself and try not to do too much.:)

We went to vote earlier as we were out anyway. Like you, humpty, I wouldn't ever not vote despite the shambles of a system we have at the moment. It was a very hard fought right. It'll be interesting to see how the results go later.;)

I've been out for an hour's brisk walk today so along with two evenings of dancing that's good exercise for me this week. Tomorrow we're off to some beautiful, local gardens but that'll be ambling.

One of the Rothschild's developed it and it's quite stunning.

As well as tomorrow, I'm out to eat three more times this coming week so plenty of fabbing opportunities. :D

Maman - looks like you're not too far from me ;) Exbury is lovely especially at this time of year with all the rhododendrons in bloom. Lepe is nice for a stroll too, enjoy your day.
DH & I voted - I know some people have spoiled their papers which I think is such a shame especially as this is for local elections not MP's. We are lucky as out local councillor takes a very active interest in the borough but I shudder to think of what the EU elections are likely to uncover.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Good evening lovely ladies.

£500 for WW diet. :rotfl::rotfl: unbelievable.

I didn't see the programme but I've got the WW App and there's a forum type thing on there. There were a couple of posts laughing about it.

I do appreciate that eating healthily can cost a wee bit more, especially if, like me, you can't really eat grains. Wheat and rice are cheap staples, proteins such as meat and fish do cost more. I don't have the option of cheap pasta or rice based meals but even so I doubt that I could clock up a £500 food bill.

I certainly don't spend anything like £500, even on my paleo/plant based regime.

Another lovely day on granny duty. :D. Tiring but such fun.
  • I have been a bit quiet recently as sick again. I think that i need a bit of rest. Life has been stressful recently- more work pressure. I try to let a lot go from the drama of work colleagues but sometimes you have to call out bad behaviour and unfairness. It frustrates me as there is no good will only a desire to impress management. Maybe I am older, much more educated and have a more specialized skill set that I don't want to be made less of. I always recall Eleanor roosevolt "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Someone said to me that I was not employed because I have been there for 20 years but have 20 times the experience in many different places.

I try to look somewhat polished and thrown together. it can be variable off days are great or disaster.

I have meet nobel laureates, famous pop stars and rock stars. I met a lot of them when i was young but now not so much. I find the b listers can be obnoxious, genuine icons tend to be normal people but have exceptional talent. I don't expect them to look like themselves as no team of stylists or make up artists.

I hope that the electorate will elect politicians who want to serve their constituency not some sort of mouth piece that would not be able to find Strasbourg on a map.

Weve been busy in our village too with the elections, and i agree with all youve said , My DD has actually stood as one of the candidates this year , so i hope they voted for her , but a lot of people have been confused by it all , thinking its like the general elections , and not the local ones , so a lot wouldnt vote at all , as theres so much unrest and upset in the Country at the moment I havent a clue what will happen in the big elections , Time will tell ,
Had a nice day today . our local Bon Marche had new stock in , and i really liked some of the styles, They looked even nicer on with the extra weight ive lost, so ive stocked up on about 6 new dressy tops , ready for the summer.
I bought a new toothbrush , a battery operated round head one , must say i can see a difference in my teeth already , much whiter,
I used to have electrolisis on my face at a local place , but have noticed i need some more so will make an appointment for that soon ,
Have a lovely day everyone and i hope you feel better soon Humpty x

Woke up about an hour ago and gave up trying to get back to sleep about half an hour ago and got up.

Currently sitting here with hair dye on, doing my nails and getting a last load of washing on.

I'll redo my suitcase after my shower this morning and then I'm pretty much ready for my 9am flight tomorrow.

Work is still crazy busy, so the 2 weeks off is going to be much needed.

I'm going to try to catch up on rest and sleep, though my parents are very old school...we don't nap (even if we're falling asleep in the chair!)

I could do with a bit of their amazing discipline but I'm not sure I could live quite so regimented and inflexible!

    Good morning lovely ladies

Frankie.....you're an early bird this morning.....hope you have a fabulous holiday.

Moll.....well done on the weight loss and stocking up on some summer tops. It's a great feeling isn't it.

I agree there's a fair amount of unrest at the moment, so much uncertainty. It must be so difficult for business owners and managers, well nigh impossible to make any sort of plans.

SFT hope you start to feel a little less frazzled, hopefully the impending 3 day weekend will give you a breathing space.

Humpty....likewise, hope you feel better soon.

SUgarbaby....so glad you've got all your benefits sorted at long last. And well done on the weight loss. Not long now till your holiday. :D

Acupuncture today and then not sure, I'll decide later. Bit tired this morning so probably just a gentle day.

Btw. Do any of you still take part in Fab Friday or have we now reached a point where we are Fab everyday. :rotfl:

I have lost another inch from my hips and my bust.:j Size 16 bust and size 12 hips now. It's the exercise melting away the inches more than the WW, I think.

I'm about to have a bath and then wear that red skater style dress that I tried on a few weeks ago and it was too tight. I have a feeling now that it will fit.;)

I'm not buying any new clothes from this point as I know that I will have to donate them at some point.

What in the world? Maybe they buy a lot of the WW ready meals and things.

I am just using the WW book that I got from a friend free back in 2003!:rotfl: I was saying on the WW thread that I have been veggie so long (26 years) that I eat a lot of the same foods as back then.
