Oh good news.xxLadybirdbaba wrote: »I'm 48 next month and want to be fab by 50.
My momenta of realising I'd become a frump were when my mam who was in her late 70s bought the same asda beige slacks I had and the day I was doing the walking stick shopping trolley combo following an old woman doing the same combo ... I quickly said to my daughter quick take the shopping trolley as I'm doing the double combo !
I gave up on style for comfort years ago too.
Yeah, ditch the beige slacks.:rotfl: I never wear beige at all as I'm too pale.
I just bought a size 14 Dorothy Perkins beige summer dress from the chazzer yesterday and dyed it red at home. I'm wearing it today and it looks quite good now.:D0 -
I want to exercise again today, that will be 6 days out of 7 that I have used my trampoline and dumbbells.
I have noticed my arms are a lot firmer on one side of my arm but not on the other dreaded "bingo wing" area.
I'm going to look for arm exercises online to specifically target that area and start doing that too.sugarbaby125 wrote: »Hello Ladies,

Glad you got the phone call from your GP humpty. I'd guessed that they'd phone after surgery but the wait must have seemed endless. I agree that they can't be that concerned if there's no instant action being considered.:)
Welcome ladybird. You need to take your mum in hand. Beige slacks! Have you any idea what sort of look you're aiming at? There are lots of ideas online and in magazines but beware of measuring yourself against celebs that have personal stylists and airbrushing.;) I find a bit of good old people watching when I'm out and about helpful. I look at other women and do a sort of audit of what are they wearing that I'd wear/not wear.
sugarbaby125 wrote: »I had a lovely 5 day visit with family in Birmingham. I decided that I only wanted to wear really nice clothing, Van Dal sandals, make up, layer my perfume and carry nice leather handbags throughout the whole 5 days. I got some really nice compliments from family on particular outfits, especially the outfit I wore on the Saturday to a local club that we frequent. :j:D:T
The weather was with your for your sandals sugarbaby. Your family certainly know how to party. I'm so pleased they made your birthday memorable. :Tsugarbaby125 wrote: »I added £200 of the PIP back pay to my £200 birthday money and treated myself to the 18ct gold unusual links 20 inch chain that I wanted from eBay. I will wear it as much as my other solid gold chains once I have received it.
Well done on treating yourself. Not just for your birthday but as a reward for all the hassle you've been through with the PIP application. Just think, some of that money could have been wasted paying for an advisor when you managed it all on your own. Brilliant!:TLooked in to my local TKM for a strapless bra - no luck but spotted a dropper bottle of Vit C & Hyaluronic Acid facial serum so bought that instead! Matalan further along had the bra I wanted in my size....last one on the rack - phew!!
You were really lucky in Matalan silva. I bought one recently in JL so I'm sure yours was much more mse. :money:I eneded up with a nude colour as that was all they had in my size. It'll be good for light coloured tops but I'd like a black one too.Wednesday2000 wrote: »I would never wear wide legged trousers, I would look like a big rectangle, lol.
That was exactly why I asked about the tucked in tops. It's only the legs of the trousers that are wide and then they need something to accentuate the nipped in waist.Wednesday2000 wrote: »I bought a few other white tops and dresses and I am dyeing them tulip red as we speak. It's my last pot of dye.:D
As I read about your brilliant CS buys I just knew they were going to be dyed! Hope they all came out well.
Before I posted today I was determined to fill a bag for the CS. It's only a small bag but it's a start. Next I need to go through shoes and holiday clothes. If I post it on here then I'm accountable.:D
It's brighter than expected here today. We've had the odd shower but quite sunny, if cooler.:)0 -
Sugar baby ......well done on the weight loss. And I meant to say sounds you like you had a wonderful weekend with your family. And well done for treating yourself to some jewellery. Not long now till your holiday.
Wednesday...fab chazzer bargains.....I love your idea of buying boring old colours and then dyeing them. Very creative.
Well I had a very productive morning. Some great books from the library, loads of plants and shrubs from B&Q, they had some good offers. Then went to the chazzer and found some gorgeous bits and pieces. There's definitely more choice in the smaller sizes.
Bought a lovely red crepe maxi dress, a "playsuit" (oooh er). Actually it will make a good swimming cozzie cover up, a white and grey dress, a white jacket, and a kimono. £15 the lot. Also a large and rather gorgeous glass mosaic turquoise vase for £3. It's a stunner.
Well pleased.
I won't be planting up the new stuff this afternoon. I have still got backche so I'll leave it till tomorrow and then pace myself over the next couple of days. I've booked a massage for Monday but will try and do some yoga stretches later.
I do need to up my game with the exercise, I've been very remiss. And whilst I've been doing lots of gardening which of course counts as exercise what I really need is yoga or Pilates to strengthen my back, not digging and mowing to aggravate it. :rotfl:0 -
Morning all...welcome Ladybird
I had my haircut on Good Friday and I'm very pleased.
The diet has been very off plan over the last few weeks, but I'm finding that I'm very stressed from work (understaffed, unhelpful people!) so, I've had to have a good talk to myself about the fact that all I need to do is go in, do my hours, do my best and come home.
It is not worth me ruining my diet over someone's else's company. (it's also time to dust off the cv for when I finally have enough.
So, I'm dialling back a little on my fabbing plans and concentrating on diet at the moment, and general personal care.
One thing at once0 -
Good morning lovely ladies......
Frankie......well done on reigning it in at work.......Learning to say "No" can be difficult but you are so right not to jeopardise your own health and well-being for work. no job is worth that kind of sacrifice.
Concentrate on you .....who knows the rewards might be totally unexpected......you might even land your dream job.
Not sure what the day holds yet. It's a lovely feeling, knowing I have the next couple of days totally free from engagements or commitments. Free as a bird.. A lot will hinge on the weather.
I might make a start on planting out my new acquisitions if the rain holds off long enough. The sun is trying to break through but rain is forecast for later.
I've got the builder coming at the weekend so there's not much point in doing much housework......well that's my excuse.:rotfl:
I intend to do some personal fabbing, a skin peel, manicure and pedicure.
Have a great day.0 -
Not much fabbing from me at the moment at all
I am going to pop to a hairdressers today to find out how much my hair cut will be (it will definitely count as a restyle) and if I can fit it into my lunch break I will get it done today, if not it will be tomorrow. Either way by tomorrow afternoon it will be done!
I am also going to pick up some Dove gradual tanner as it seems to have quite good reviews.
Oh, and getting nails done tomorrow so it will be a fabbing-filled weekend!0 -
I will put this here as well as the WW support thread. I can't believe it, I'm so happy.:j
I was in a bad mood as I worked out 6 times this week and the scales haven't moved. I then took my measurements just now and nearly fainted with shock!
I've lost another 3 inches from my waist and another 1 inch from my hips. My hips are officially a size 12 now!
I am going to try low carb one day and then high carb the next as a personal trainer I saw on a video online yesterday said it is meant to work with my metabolism and help weight loss.
I need to go out and buy more salad stuff as he also said to eat as many veggies as you can on both days.
I'm wearing my new black maxi skirt (which is now a little big on me!) with my blue Autograph top and my summer sandals.
I hope everyone has a great day.:A2025 GOALS

Not a good day for me, blood test results back and they aren't right either. They think the meds I take for another condition are affecting my heart (this can happen hence I get regular blood tests/ecg) so now we start with trying new meds/new doeses. Feeling a bit all over the place with it, I need the meds but I need my heart as well!
One thing is that it explains how I have been feeling since Christmas as this has obviously been brewing for a while, doctor said my last blood test in December was marginal. Perhaps I will start to feel better soon.
Hope everyone else is well and happy, lots of good weight loss going on.0 -
I got my hair cut done on my lunch break0
