Frankie well done on starting your skincare routine.

One tip from a beauty guru was to do your skincare routine as soon as you get in from work/being out for the day. Firstly, the sooner you get the daily grime off your skin, the better. Secondly, if you leave it just before bed, you are more likely to be tired and then can’t be bothered.

That is a good idea, and obvious when you think about it.

:T Another positive is that you're not just marking time on becoming fab while you aim for your weightloss goal. There are heaps of things you can do and it's a good idea to reward yourself as you reach interim targets. We all like rewards but it's the things like too much chocolate and wine that do the damage. And there's no point buying too many clothes until we reach our preferred dress size. I'd suggest things like skincare products or hair dos or handbags or perfume or......:D

Interesting discussion that I heard on the radio earlier: it was focused on ASOS tightening up its policy on returns as it suspects that some customers are returning worn goods or posing in them for Instagram posts and then returning them. The discussion then went on to discuss how so many people buy heaps more clothes than they did 10 years ago but how things like the environmental lobby and Marie Kondo are beginning to turn that tide. I'm certainly in the 'less is more' camp. I'm much happier with a limited wardrobe of things I really like.:)

I'm feeling very unfab this morning. Like LL, I'm trying to limit how often I wash and blow dry my hair so I've given it a miss this morning and it feels yuk!:( I'm not going anywhere today so it seemed like a good idea at the time. I've put a bright red jumper on to try and detract from it.:D

Plans for the day will be cooking us a fab healthy meal and trying to read a bit more. I've not done too well with that for the last couple of days.

Bright and sunny here at the moment but not sure if it'll last the day. I've opened all the doors and windows to try and get some air through the house.:)

I had the habit of falling into bed without taking off my makeup quite regularly so I started doing it around 7 in the evening.

Cleansing and moisturising as soon as you get home makes even more sense, I'm going to start doing that instead.:T

If I'm staying in and having a messy hair day I put a treatment on, I think the one I have is L'Oreal, and put a towel/scarf on and tell myself this is a positive (treating hair) and not me being a slob (having a messy hair day.) Makes me feel more positive about it and good for my hair.

I've always made the mistake of thinking I need to wait until I've lost weight.

Like I'm waiting for some wonderful overnight transformation. (I obviously watched too many Cinderella type movies)

So now I'm just doing the things that I can do. The other stuff (clothes etc) will happen when some of the weight gets lost or I need some new clothes...:)

    Yep.....it's called the "Cinderella Complex".;)

The more you can do now to keep yourself feeling good, optimistic and positive the better. It doesn't have to cost much.

Well ....I can now get into load of clothes I couldn't wear before. Wahoo. I shall be needing some new bras soon, I don't feel entirely "safe". :rotfl:

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

I am not sleeping too well at the moment so I'm going to reduce my screen time and see if that helps me sleep more soundly.

Don't worry I haven't abandoned you......;). I just might not be around much for a few days.

    Keeeeep fabbing.

I am dyeing some clothes i bought from a charity shop red today. I just looked in the washing machine and they look like they have all come out well. I will tell when I open it. It's always a bit of a lottery with how well they come out.:p

Oh right, that is quite a long time.

My B12 was 660 last summer, I have to get it done again in May.

  • candygirl, my DD started on the same dose as you but they did a blood test after six weeks and doubled her dose at 8 weeks, she didn't get the new prescription straightaway. She recently had another test and they are happy to leave her on that dose for now but she is having regular tests, apparently with Hashimotos the levels can change quickly, not sure if that goes for any cause of underactive thyroid. She did feel a benefit straight away but wasn't sure if that was in her head but when they doubled the dose the difference was very obvious. Her problem is she is hoping to start a family and apparently it can affect fertility and can cause a problem in pregnancy but they have told her she will get lots of support so fingers crossed.

Day at the coast yesterday, walked for miles so despite eating out no weight gain. Picked up a pink and white fat face cardi in a charity shop , also found a fab haberdashers the type that if you can't fi d what you want then nobody makes it..
Last week I went toour local debemhams . The upstairs has an outlet department which sells stuff for a tad more than the chazzers round here . So took the opportunity to replace a shirt and tee shirt.. I am getting my haircut tomorrow so I will try and find some flaxseed oil as my nails are dreadful.
