It has turned very chilly here. My husband has a concert to go to but I'm just staying in at home all cosy.
I just did the hot cloth cleanser, rosewater toner and then serum. I'm about to get into a hot bath and then wrap up warm afterwards.
I'm just going to spend the evening listening to music and watching episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.:Dlessonlearned wrote: »
Wednesday.....let's hope the thyroid medicine helps.
I hope so too.:)humptydumptybits wrote: »Wednesday, if the doctor has given you a prescription he must be pretty sure you need it as they seem to be pretty strict about it. I hope you get a great result, I know my DD has done really well on it and of course we aren't all the same but if you need it you need it. Yes the free prescriptions are a bonus and all your prescriptions are free, well they are for DD she has a card that shows she is entitled to free prescriptions. I think she said she had to ask for it at the pharmacy not the doctor's. I'm not sure why you get all prescriptions free but it could be a useful money saver.
I hope it works with my fatigue and also my weightloss.:A He put me on 25 micrograms to start with. That is very handy being free as I think this medication is for life now.0 -
Hi, if it the same as my DD they will do another blood test and then increase the dose if needed. She is on 50 micrograms now. DD almost immediately had more energy but the weight loss kicked in after a few months, I'm not sure if it was because of the med or because she was more active, she said one thing was she had more energy to cook after work rather than grab a takeaway so it might be a combination of all of it. The other thing is she seems less prone to catching infections, not sure how that works but it was most welcome.
I think someone else said they were on levothyroxine, can't remember who it was but I'm sure they could tell you more. Looking forward to your updates.0 -

I would be over the moon if the same happens to me.:)2025 GOALS

I've had a wonderful facial today. Now I have to confess I've never rated facials very highly, I mean they are pleasant but I've never looked in the mirror afterwards and thought what a difference it made well today it happened. It was called a hydrafacial and it wasn't cheap but I've signed up for a series of 4 as I was so impressed when I looked in the mirror. I got a decent discount.0

I did my aldi shopping yesterday and bought up the caviar skin care range. I have realised that I didn't buy any toner, but I may have some tucked away in a drawer somewhere.
So far, no reactions and my skin has never felt so hydrated.
I also bought the hot cloth face mask and a caviar charcoal face mask which I'll try this week.
Bought some basic skin moisturiser too.
Now I just need to get the morning and night time routines in place so I use everything and see if it makes a difference!0 -
Frankie well done on starting your skincare routine.
One tip from a beauty guru was to do your skincare routine as soon as you get in from work/being out for the day. Firstly, the sooner you get the daily grime off your skin, the better. Secondly, if you leave it just before bed, you are more likely to be tired and then can’t be bothered.0 -
Thank you chanie that's great advice.
I often like to have a shower when I get in from work so I'll do it then.0 -

Another advantage of doing this is that you can add a little more moisturiser or serum when you go to bed if you think that the earlier application as absorbed and more would be helpful. I tip I read some time ago was rather than buy a richer product immediately your skin seemed to be lacking some moisture or hydration, try this, it might well be enoughThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
