  • Oh yes, I went through the dog toy box too and chucked a few chewed toys away.

I bought some trainer socks and I tried them and they kept slipping down and gave me blisters on my heel. :(

I am just going to give them to my dog to chew as I doubt someone else would want them as they are useless! I wrap them around her toys and she tries to get them out. It cleared some space in my chest of drawers.

    :hello: from Prague :D
DH didn’t go to bed on Sunday night  was too afraid that we would miss our taxi to City Airport :rotfl: Taxi arrived on time & we were ready & waiting ;) Problems with traffic but arrived at airport in plenty of time. Straight through security & only show passports at the gate :T Then short walk across the tarmac to the plane :T Very civilised :D Arrived Prague on time & DH had arranged transfer to the Hotel Grandior in Old Town Prague. Very pleasant driver who pointed out various sites on the drive. We did tip him :rotfl:
Checked in & went to our room - pleasant enough but not a single drawer to unpack into
Dropped our cases in the room, I played AB2 for 30 mins then out we we went for a wander. The buildings are wonderful & the streets are sooo clean :T As we had not eaten apart from a bag of crisps (me) & 2 biscuits (DH) we stopped in one of the squares - lots of food & beer stalls, plus Knick-knacks etc stalls. We shared a venison sausage in a roll & a wild boar sausage in a roll - they were enormous & thereally handy thing was that DH preferred the venison & I preferred the wild boar - win-win :rotfl: Then had a beer each & wandered around a bit more. Then found a bar/restaurant, sat at the bar & had several/lots of beers + an apple strudel for me :p Lve music - keyboard player & a female singer. Walked back to hotel through the Palladium shopping centre - wi.th the most beautiful & tasteful Christmas decoration & were in bed by 9:15 p.m. Czech time (8:15 p.m. GMT) :rotfl: DH was asleep within 20 minutes :rotfl:

Slept reasonably well, showered & down to breakfast by 9.15 - buffet style but with at least a dozen staff clearing tables. Delicious food & could even have a made to order omelette :D might try that tomorrow :rotfl: Back to the room for 40 minutes & then out. Headed in the same direction, stopped & had the most expensive beer & coffee in a cafe with a splendid view of the Astronomical Clock - just in time for the 1:00 p.m. show :rotfl: Figures move round, a skeleton rings a bell & then there were 13 bongs :rotfl: Magical experience + the cafe has a resident photographer ; As we never take pictures with either of us in them, we treated ourselves :p Now we have proof we are in Prague :rotfl:
We then bought an 2 day ticket for the hop on, hop off bus including an hour riverboat trip. Did the full loop on the bus & the riverboat trip as night fell - magical !♂️ Then back to the same bar - La Republicca. Tonight we ate as well as having beers :rotfl: A mixed platter of Czech food for starters, DH then had goose leg on a bed of pickled cabbage with slices of dumpling & a duck sauce - delicious & I had veal schnitzel with a blueberry dip & a light potato salad - scrummilicious Paid our bill then retired to the bar as there was live music again :T This time 2 male guitarists who could sing :T They played everything from Blues to Classical to cover versions of Sting, The Shadows & even Queens of the Stone Age. They were absolutely superb :j so we stayed until they finished - 3 x half hour sessions (having intended to leave after our dinner :p I do so love hearing guitars being played so well :D I strolled & DH hobbled  back to the hotel. Postcards & stamps have been bought, so I will write them tomorrow at breakfast.
We are thoroughly enjoying our trip even if we are decluttering money at a rapid rate of knots

One highlight of the bus journey - we saw a BLACK SQUIRREL :j:T Unfortunately he was a nifty little b*g**r so we didn’t manage to get a photo :( - hopefully he will make an appearance tomorrow & we can have cameras ready ;)

You tease Happy Kitties :rotfl: Well done on the decluttering but pull your finger out :rotfl: I want to see 500 :rotfl:

Yippee TC77 :T - 500 :j Gold Star ⭐️ for you especially as you cleaned your fridge :T

Well Done short_bird :T I have one of those frying pans :rotfl: but I am loathe to bin it as it is only a couple of years old & there is still a bit of non-stick :rotfl: I just have to make sure I crack the eggs into the right place :rotfl:

You are more than welcome Picklepot :D Where to start  - how about making sure your bedroom is a clutter free haven ;) & if it already is then perhaps the kitchen :) You already know that you are a Decluttering Queen - you have the house guest to prove it ;) so have at it :rotfl:
Oh Picklepot - so sorry :( - almost 15 so a good long life but still sad to let him go :( I was trying to find the equivalent human age - I thought it was 7:1 ratio but apparently not. I have learnt something new - age in human years is dependent on the size of the dog - who knew? Regardless it is still not an easy time when one loses a canine friend :( so I am sending virtual hugs

Good work Wednesday2000 :T Shame about the socks - but at least they are getting a 2nd life even if not for their intended use ;)

Keep up the good work everyone :T
