I really neEd, to get back into decluttering. On my day off on Friday, I cleared my work clothes drawer of all my larger size uniform (now all the new smaller sized uniform is tidied away), I also defrosted the freezer (some grim stuff been in there since 2016!), sorted a bag of clothes for the chazzer, and a bag of 10 books for the church book stall (which I forgot to take today!!).
I also purchased an onion and decluttered the veg in the fridge and the last of the lentils (with a bit of chilli and stock) Into a lovely soup for 5 lunches for the week.

Saturday was a grey damp day in Prague - the city was weeping at our departure :rotfl: The wake up call we booked never materialised (the only failure by the hotel ;)) but fortunately DH’s phone alarm woke us both. Did our ablutions & were dressed & packing finished by 8:00 a.m. Straight down to breakfast - way too early for us so only had a small cooked breakfast, juice & coffee :rotfl: Back up to our room to pick up our bags & coats & keys returned by 8:40 then the nervous wait in the lobby for our taxi - arrived on time & a clear run to the airport. Slight problem at security - DH’s boots set off the alarm :o & my comb had to be put through separately - very weird :p Plane left on time & we arrived at City Airport a few minutes early :T Decided on a black cab home ;) Arrived home just after 1:30 p.m. - DSis had cups of coffee in our hands within 3 minutes of getting in :rotfl: :T
Had more birthday cards to open & presents including a flat pack plant from our friends. DSis had even made me a birthday cake :j with sparklers on top :D
Lazy afternoon but I did empty suitcases, put away toiletries & unused clothing. Did 2 loads of washing which were put in td as London had welcomed us with heavy rain :( All folded & put away by bedtime :T DSis cooked dinner - M&S lasagne & garlic bread - very tasty.
Nice to sleep in our own bed :D
Sunday has been mostly dry but interspersed with showers - DSis did a small sm shop - in the dry :rotfl: but a lazy day for DH & I. Although I did manage to do some shredding (emptied the shredder bin), a small amount of paperwork, cut up a shirt for rags & added the buttons to my stash, cleared down a small selection off my planner including The Dublin Murders - odd programme  & started knitting a scarf about half done. DSis cooked us chicken & chips for dinner with birthday cake for afters - mmmmm.

4030 - 4050 Plastic bottle, 4 drinks cans, 10 lots of paper packaging, 2 lots of cardboard packaging, cardboard box, newspaper, foil tray, 0.5” paperwork - Recycled

Well done TC77 :T keeping the numbers moving :T Hope you enjoy catching up with your friends. Rapidly approaching 600 ;). Must be about time to visit Prague again TC77 ;) - I imagine a lot has changed in 22 years ;)

Imagining people going into the charity shop, in particular spotting * items and purchasing. These items in particular were bad buys of mine because they don’t fit me or are just not needed (unwanted/duplicate gifts). I imagine people being really pleased at their charity shop find and getting pleasure from these items that were stuck in my drawers

  • Wednesday2000, could you alter the favourite grey dress? Seems a shame to let it go :(.

I decided to keep it in the end as I thought it would still be wearable with a jumper over it and it covers up my cold legs in winter.:)

Monday has been a mostly dry day but oh so cold 🥶.
DH & DSis spent time in the garage adding some extra lights to one of his motorbikes. DSis has small fingers so DH makes use of her :rotfl:
I pottered all day - glued the sliding feet back onto the box footstool, oiled the hinges, emptied footstool & sorted/tidied the contents, dealt with a large pile of personal paperwork, started making a soup from los from dinner (sausages, mash & chopped tomatoes) & several pots & bags of bits & pieces from the freezer + lentils & stock cubes from stores.
