Monday was a mainly dry day but cold - some bright sunshine though :T Sunday’s dressing gown day & the L*ms*ps worked wondersDH & I both had a bath as we were meeting his niece for lunch in Greenwich. Everywhere was packed with families - must be half term or something :rotfl: However we found somewhere with no kiddies :T - new place for us called Buffalo. Service was slow but the food was good - DH & DN had starters - Tacos & mozzarella sticks respectively, DN chicken burger, DH cheese burger & I had a lively chilli con carne - requested extra soured cream
Very tasty. DN had chocolate churros for afters - don’t know where she puts it - must have hollow legs or not eat for a week before going out :rotfl: Bottle of water to mitigate the beers DH had, the strawberry daiquiris DN had & the Long Island Iced Teas I drank :rotfl: Very decadent of us :rotfl:
An 2.5 hour lunch - lots of catching up, laughter & phone photos perusingI also received another present - 3 postcards & 2 fridge magnets - the one of Brighton Pavilion was the most beautiful one I have ever seen (Eastbourne was the other).
Lazy late afternoon & evening - knitting & TV - heating on for a couple of hours
The 2nd non usable hand crank sewing machine arrived (DH had won the bid) - in a cardboard box padded out with carrier bags & bubble wrap
Dinner was the remainder of Sunday’s takeaway curry for DH & I and Chinese for DSis.
Forgot to mention that DB’s dog has had 5 puppies - so cute - 4 gluttons & 1 one who was so laid back that it just slept whilst the others were mauling mum

Ooh, clearing an attic IrishRose12 :T Hope you found lots of interesting items - maybe some heirloomsLet us know when you appear on Ant*ques Roadshow :rotfl Monday was cold but Tuesday is turning out to be freezing - I am not a fan although I suppose it is better than pouring rain
Well Done short_bird :T Very MSE not to have to buy a new clothes hamper - Justin is occasionally useful :rotfl:

Mrs SD, thank you for reassuring comments and cheer leading !
A few things earmarked to get out of the house. Using up toiletries but very slow. Interested to know how people have managed to step up a gear. Trying to work out how to tackle the difficult areas, terrified of missing out on things if I give them away0 -

Tuesday has been mainly dry day but oh so cold 🥶 I have finished knitting the 2nd baby blanket. I have also finally bitten the bullet & have been watching the entirety of Poldark Season 5. Only 2 months after it finished airing :rotfl: Nice to see the original Ross Poldark
Thoroughly enjoyed it but no wet shirt or topless Ross
:rotfl: Enjoyment slightly spoiled by DSis - she kept asking (repeatedly) who the characters were & moaning about Demelza
DH has carved a pumpkin - looks great - all done with the £3 kit he bought last yearHe has also ordered wool (for scarves for the homeless).
DSis is making 3 chocolate coconut cakes - one for us & the other 2 for neighbours.
Dinner was bacon, egg, baked beans & a couple of slices of bread - not very healthy but I forgot to take anything out of the freezer
3948 - 3957 Three drinks tins, 2 cardboard boxes, glass bottle & metal cap, 2 lots of cardboard packaging, magazine, 0.5” paperwork - Recycled
3958 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
3959 - 3961 Two baby blankets, baking tray - CS
Well Done choille :T
Oh bit by bit still banned:mad: Really not the same posting without your feet up & drinking a cuppa
Happy decluttering

Well Done on the decluttering TC77 :T
Re the difficult areas - put a few items that you are not sure about into a box or bag, put away somewhere safe. Then set yourself a time limit - could be a week or a month or even in the New Year. If you have not missed anything & are brave - just donate the box/bag to the CS. However if you still have doubts about SOME of the items then rinse & repeat. This has worked for me& may work for you.
