39/52 - more and more packaging recycled (still more to go but need to wait on recycling bin to be emptied).

As I've booked a carpet cleaning company for 10 days time, need to clear some corners so they get a clear run (But I think the TV and hifi stays where it is, plugging everything in again is tedious and prone to go wrong)Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas.0 -

A few years ago had one jug and felt I needed another, I now have 7 ( lovely mid century, amber, blue, purple , turquoise and a plain and white jug..... same happened with trays. Sunday has been a mainly dry day - some bright sunshine, reasonably warm - a lovely autumn day Unfortunately I woke up with a fierce headache which lasted until about 6 p.m. & also feeling generally bleugh : So I have spent the entire day in my dressing gown I have watched the motorcycle races, a couple of films & carried on knitting the 2nd baby blanket. However I have FINALLY made the chutney :rotfl: I used a combination of 2 recipes - but did not use the full amount of ingredients - I winged it :rotfl: Hg tomatoes, cooking apples, red & white onions, raisins, garlic, Demerara sugar, cayenne pepper, ground ginger, salt, pickling spices & pickling vinegar (rather than malt vinegar). The smell whilst it was cooking was eye watering  - my DSis was not impressed  However, much to my surprise the haphazard amount of each ingredient has combined to make a rather spicy chutney More to the point both I and my DH love it :rotfl: I have 3 medium sized jars & a small pot - will label tomorrow, store 3 & use one I see lots of cheese & crackers & chutney, cheese or ham & chutney sandwiches in our future :rotfl: I am inordinately chuffed :rotfl:
Dinner was takeaway curry for DH & I & Chinese for DSis. Will be tomorrow night’s dinner as well - which makes it slightly more MSE

First day on my holidays and its been productive already :T
It's a lovely sunny day today, so I think that's helped my cleaning mood:cool:
I did open the windows in the house to air the rooms a bit, well that lasted all of 5 minutes as its bloomin freezing, so that idea quickly went out the window........ literally :rotfl:
Load of paperwork sorted, recycled and/or binned this morning. Beginning to
see the kitchen table again
Now off to the room of doom:eek: aka the attic this WILL be cleared, cleaned and tidied today. Theres really no need for that room to be so cluttered and messy, it wont be by the end of today.
Hope it's a warmer day than it is here wherever all of you are. It's a good day for polar bears here!!!Pay all debt off by Christmas 2024 £537/£3,500£1 a day challenge 2024 - £91/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2024 6/52Lose 24lb - 3/24lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 7/100%0
