Hi chocolatelover
When I made a scrapbook for my Mum and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary I left a blank page for their photo and the cards they received. Realising there were too many cards, my DH arranged them and took a photo. He then sized it appropriately and printed it out for me to use. HTHFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
A huge box of leaflets that I’ve kept for years after I left a charity position has been divided up & both boxes are leaving tomorrow to go to various organisations/charities that have said they can make use of them.
Box in the spare bedroom that had been harbouring rubbish and bits and bobs since we moved in a few weeks ago has been emptied & contents found homes for or binned.
My Mum visited earlier and for the first time ever, said ‘Wow! The house feels tidy!’ - never thought I would see the day!0 -

Another productive day here
Over 100 items culled.
Did DS's room and have managed to flutter and organise it so an entire 3 drawer unit is now surplus. DS has requested we get rid and asked for a desk in its place. So that will go on the projects list.
Finally managed my freezer audit too,and meal planned off its contents so now my food shop list is roughly 60% smaller! That'll help out budget wise tooWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Just one shelf on the first set to go and then it will be surplus to requirements. Yay.

I have a box full of my DS cards and I have a scrap book I am making him with lots of photos and other bits in there, was just wondering if anyone has any ideas for the cards? I would rather all things like that were in a book he could look through when he is older. I am also thinking of getting a box frame so I can put his first sleepsuit and things in for him that I can hang up in my living room that way they aren't gathering dust in a box.

The only thing I'd say is that I still have the first dress my dad bought me and my first pair of shoes. They do feel like clutter to me, if I'm honest, but I'd feel bad about getting rid of them so they're just kept in a box. I do have a full set of Beatrix Potter books and some other bits that can at least be used if we have children.0 -
Decluttered the cupboards under the sink today, another one off the list.
tidied some things in the under stair cupboard and found OH pair of RayBan sunglasses he had "lost" last year - bonus find.
Called at small local charity shop and notice on door that said "sorry we cannot take any more donations at the moment" …. will pop my things into one of the bigger stores in town tomorrow.0 -
I managed to take 1 bag of books and 1 of clothes to the CS today and also got rid of the 6 year old's outgrown school uniform to the mum of a smaller kid in his class.
I bumped into another mum with a younger boy on the way home from school and offered her his outgrown non-school clothes so I've got to do some sorting of the chaos in the loft room but I'll be able to get rid of a few bags full there as well. Progress is being made!0
