Thursday has been a quiet & lazy day - one cardboard box emptied, dismantled & put in loft. 3 more bottles of cleaning products into the cs bag. Rest of the duplicate bathroom products stored on one of the empty shelves in my wardrobe - it will be the first port of call rather than the smHm soup & hm croutons for lunch & Chinese for dinner - expensive but always does two night’s dinners & usually a lunch for me
40 - 42 Magazine, two beer bottles - Recycled
43 Broken plastic jug - Binned
44 Cardboard box dismantled & put in loft
45 - 48 Small plastic crate, 3 bottles of cleaning products into CS bag
49 A box set of matching pendant necklace & earrings into CS bag
Still slow & steady but items still going out
My cheerleading starts here :rotfl:
parsniphead sorry that the op didn’t go ahead as planned but at least there is a plan in place. Fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later
MadamMim2013, I had to laugh at the ‘tale of the apple crumble’ :rotfl: at least the birdies got fed& the neighbours were entertained :rotfl:
Aaleigha, well done on keeping up the momentum :T :think: how about counting when you empty the boxes in your new home & put everything away :rotfl:
never too old, another one keeping up the momentum & decluttering freezer contents as well :T
seahorsey, no permission needed :rotfl: - we all love it when we have a new person on the ‘Decluttering Bandwagon’ You have made a great start :T You will see little oases of space & eventually they will meet up & you will have a tidy & Clutter free home
KathCW, any progress is a winAs you can see I am not exactly motoring along :rotfl: but even 15 minute bursts of activity will start to make a difference - a small shelf sorted or a table top cleared. It all adds up
nannywindows, my DH always keeps the bootlaces when he bins an old pair of boots :rotfl: & several times it has proved useful as even new bootlaces are not as good as old bootlaces :rotfl:
bargainhunterss, well done on minimising your tea lights & candle stashes :T
Tfoz, well done on keeping your purse tightly closed :T
sweetpea26, isn’t it lovely to find things you had forgotten about& you are definitely keeping your numbers moving :T I bet you binned the jam jar lids yonks ago :rotfl: & had plans for the jars :rotfl:
bit by bit, electronic clutter weighs just as heavily as physical clutter& I have found that when I am happy about one type of decluttering I try to replicate the happiness by more decluttering :rotfl: Don’t forget that one blanket = lots of balls of wool :rotfl:
See you tomorrow

DH is still ploughing his way through old photos, and being ruthless.
There are some which have given us a good laugh though!!
I haven't sorted anywhere for a couple of days, I won't slip back though!!0 -
I'm so glad I've sorted out my candle stash, I buy and I make them but I went to IKEA yesterday and didn't pick up a single one!
:T

But I agree on using it up instead of wasting.
We’re in the area that was affected by Storm Desmond a few years ago, so I’ve tried to make sure we have an ‘emergency drawer’ in case of power cuts!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Mrs SD, I have [STRIKE] plenty of[/STRIKE] too many clothes so didn't have to go out topless!
There's now a skirt in the charity bag with the top and 14 pieces of paper left my desk yesterday and were either shredded or put into recycling.
parsniphead, so sorry op didn't go as planned. I'm sure it'll feel good to take out your frustration on the clutter when you get home though.

OOOO I feel I haven't kept up! Kids back to Uni middle of next week and then will be able to get really stuck in - will aim to rationalise something small today - like a drawer somewhere .....
....... though really needs second reception room attacked hmmm
nope better start small
PS I really love this :1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP

Edit: I have decided 2019 in 20190 -
Best wishes Parsniphead. Half a doz items on Freegle, one collected and awaiting info ref others - well its a start. Bag of clothing put on but if not asked for soon will have to go to CS. Am waiting for the collection bag so I can put some stuff out for the recycling charity, I know these are not good enough for shop. Childrens videos put on, Disney style. Living in hope for the small length of new carpet which has been here around 5 years, some-one is interested. Back bedroom cleared out (mostly into little bedroom/junk room !!) and cleaned ready for visitors/grandson. Really must start on freezers too, have been lax on menu planning.0

I took another bag of books to the CS yesterday and I've got one more ready to take today too so I'm ploughing on. There's still so much to do I'm not sure it's visible progress yet but eventually I will feel like I've got more space in the house. This thread is definitely keeping me going add I want to be able to say I've done something no matter how small every day.
Hope every one has a good and productive weekend!0
