When I move can I then count al the boxes and furniture from this house
Or should I just continue in the new place

Can't blame a girl for trying

Welcome KathCW - it is NEVER too late to join :D You have made an excellent start & the fact that your DH is on board will make the whole decluttering journey easier :D

    Thanks for the welcome!

I'm not too sure that DH is a help as yet. He kindly defrosted the freezer part of the fridge freezer for me yesterday. He defrosted it while it was still switched on (poor old freezer must have gone into overdrive trying to freeze whilst being filled with bowls of hot water to defrost it!) Not only that, he threw away the last batch of scones I made less than a week ago because he thought they were old :(

I don't feel I am making much progress at the moment - but keep reading the thread for inspiration and will hopefully have a long list of 'gone' items soon!

Parsniphead I'm sorry your op didn't go as planned. I'm sure you will soon get back on the decluttering bandwagon. I'm sending you a great big gentle hug.
Out today into the bin a pair of DH's walking boots, the downside is that he bought a new pair today, but at least the old pair have gone and not been kept for spares ( although he did keep the laces :(.)
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
  • Afternoon all! Two more tealights used up last night. Trying to make my way through my candle stash. I always end up squirreling them away in a drawer, forgetting about them, and then buying more!

Thanks Mrs SD I can’t deny it…I do love a list :D We’re all doing so well! Go team! :T

MadamMim2013 we’ve all been there with the food disaster! All the worse for it being PUDDING!!

parsniphead, good to hear from you. Sorry to hear your op didn’t manage to ‘declutter’ everything. Sending positive vibes today xxxx

I've been watching the Marie Kondo Netflix, did my clothes today and a bag of tatty things and box of nice sellable things are sorted :T

I always keep them to hand in case we have a power cut. We've never actually had one for the 2 and a bit years we've been here! :D
But I agree on using it up instead of wasting. :)

    I love this thread.

Been taking time out to declutter the inboxes of two email accounts. Its amazing how this makes me happy. Also sent off a blanket that I had been crocheting since October to the intended recipient. Having slow growing weighs me down mentally so I feel a little lighter. :D

Got to get back to the shelves over the next few days.
