2019 - A Clutter Free Life

I've just caught up with you all - it really does encourage me to push on with my own decluttering - all these victories, large and small.
I was on holiday last week so only decluttered a bottle of sun cream, but there's quite a bit to add since: 2 books to charity, one in recycling as the pages were thoroughly stuck together and one large borrowed one returned to DS. Mrs SD, that's not the 25 I think you said I had to have in order to get my gold star, but 4 is a decent start!
Besides those, 38 'paper decisions' (I keep finding old receipts and thinking I still want/might need them); 8 tops to charity along with a purse, a night shirt still in its wrapper and 2 unloved ornaments; some strawberries and mango puree that were just sitting in storage and got turned into a desert; out of date eggs (bin); empty fish food tub, empty bottle of glass cleaner, 3 jars to the eco shop, a very large spider into the garden (aren't I brave?!); 2 broken plant pots and a plant label; garden rubbish to the tip and 2 planters tidied in the garden. I make that 69 to add to my total.
New total 1,572/2019.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Corrr where do the days go!!:eek: I'm still working my butt off and sorting never ending hassles......but have managed to take another bag of the ex's electrical things to the tip, so at leadt 100 items in that!
And sorted out the utility room spare food cupboard and extracted 8 items out of that too
But boy theres not much times left now to evict 790 items, so need a good push asap!!

I'm back - obviously on a roll yesterday and today as I've made a small dint in the papers 59 'paper decisions' made.
A couple were old training materials so a bit more bulk than old receipts. I hung on to a few in case someone ever asks to see them but really and truly the chances of that are less than one in a million: I'm unlikely ever to look at this year's training materials again, let alone someone else asking me to see things from five years ago. SO why can't I shake off that feeling?
I also tackled some tote bags with bits and pieces in from the coat hooks in the hall: nothing really exciting there, but in a bag on the floor I found a sad collection of bulbs for the garden - they are now sitting out on the step and I'll have a proper look in daylight but somehow the oil for the garden shears had emptied over it and gone from early full to nearly empty. :0 A rag and a gardening glove are consequently in the bin.
Besides this a battered plant pot, a plastic bag and four catalogues have gone.
67 new items - new total 1,639.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Tuesday went back to being an Indian summer - clear blue skies & sunshine - temperatures about 19C. Long lazy bath then DH took me to the hospital for my lung function test. I also had a CT scan & blood taken. We then went to B+Q, picked up a few bits for DH’s next project - a box for the hose pipe with a planter in the top. Wood is arriving Friday. I also picked up a box of mixed bulbs - crocuses, alliums, tulips etc.
Dinner was a pasta bake topped with slices of mozzarella - absolutely delicious 🤤 & there is enough for DSis’ dinner tomorrow :T. DH & I are stopping in Belgium overnight (a last cigarette run before Br**it)
3329 - 3334 Three drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, uu hotel size bottle, uu body lotion bottle (managed to eke it out for 3 extra uses :money: :rotfl:) - Recycled

Not cheeky enough to count all the tiles taken of the wall, but if I was I have made 2019
Off now to cook in my temporary kitchen on our motorhome, thank goodness we have it.
This weekend it is hubby's 60th and I have arranged a surprise party for him so a few £s decluttered there but he is worth it.
I am probably going to be MIA again whilst the main work is going on, but will update you all as soon as I can
Well done to everyone and catch up later xx  :A0 -

Wednesday has been another Indian summer’s day in the U.K., France & Belgium :T - clear blue skies & sunshine - temperatures about 19C. We left an hour later than we intended but we were in no rush;) The train was delayed due to an electrical fault but we did get going eventually :T DH & I stopped about 10 miles from our hotel & had a beer, a cappuccino & a croque monsieur each. Very welcome as we had drunk a mug of tea/coffee & had a single sucky sweet each between 10:00 a.m. & 4:30 p.m. Arived at our hotel in the centre of Ypres & had to contend with a marble staircase open on one side & a very steep flight of stairs to our room  Changed out of our motorbiking gear & left our room about 45 minutes later. Found a bar very near the Menin Gate & had a beer, then walked the 75 yards to join the crowds for the Last Post Ceremony. It was very moving & even the birds were silent. 300+ people of all ages & nationalities & you could have heard a pin drop. The ceremony was conducted by the South Staffordshire Regiment & we got to talk to a few of the soldiers. A reminder of the sacrifices made by so many to give us a brighter future. Shame our cretinous politicians do not remember  Sorry for that
Stayed for a while after the 3 buglers had finished & the wreaths had been laid, to read some of the thousands of names, then went for a wander to find something to eat.
We found a restaurant next to the Ypres Museum (which we will visit tomorrow) & we had an absolutely delicious meal (with several beers  :rotfl:) - DH had plaice & mash which was very tasty 😋 but it was trumped by the Flemish Stew that I ordered :rotfl: one of those lovely meals where we chatted, laughed, ate & drank & remembered why we love each other so much (apologies for the lovey dovey 🥰 talk)
Needless to say no decluttering apart from pennies :rotfl:
You are teasing us Barny1979 :rotfl: you know you want to reach the 950 mark :rotfl:
So very nice to see you gilly 1964 :T Hope you had a lovely holidayYou do know you forgot to count the tiles in any way :rotfl: - at least 250 to add to your numbers :rotfl: As I am bound to forget
- early birthday wishes to Mr gilly 1964 :bdaycake: If you get a good’un they are definitely worth spending a few pennies on :rotfl:
Keep up the good work :T
