  • Yay, I found the paperwork for my first operation (knee) but still not for other 2 but I only have 2 hips and they are both done now. Have appointment at hospital in months time to start the ball rolling and potential op in Nov., which will suit as I will be back home for Xmas. And yes Mrsd I did get rid of some paperwork too, good oh. Have finally managed to get my PC attached to internet but seem to have de-cluttered Win10 although I am on Win7 at the moment. Still work to be done but little at a time. If I had got a man in I would have decluttered about £40. Onward and upward.xx
  • 1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

Saturday has been yet another beautiful day - shame I had no washing to do :( I have done nothing today apart from watch TV (Stephen King’s The Stand - on of my all time favourites & I love the book as well) & make dinner - sausages, mash, mushrooms & plum tomatoes. The only other thing I did was write yet another letter telling the French authorities that my DSis doesn’t live there anymore & is not responsible for any household bills  Getting really ticked off as they are still demanding monies even though she hasn’t lived in France for almost 16 months  Mind you glad to see French officialdom is just as useless as English officialdom  RANT OVER :D
DH has built the frame & sides of the Hose Pipe storage box.

Well Done villagelife :T You do know you can count the stuff moved to the shed ;) after all it has been decluttered from your home :T

Shame about the corms & bulbs Cherryfudge :( but as you say live & learn ;)

Bit by bit, I think we can share the award for most bizarre breakage/loss - breakage for me & loss for you :rotfl: I am beginning to feel sorry for your Room of Doom :rotfl: - it’s days are numbered :rotfl: You know you will miss it :p

Well Done whmf00001 :T I am all in favour of NOT decluttering money :T Isn’t Win7 better than Win10? ;)

Keep up the good work everyone :T

    Hi,
Only manage to post every few days but don't want to forget things I'm snowed under with important paper stuff to compose etc but decluttering includes
    284 broken dustpan binned
285-289 CS, boots, bracelet, tops and running clothes
    290 electronic declutter
    291 paper declutter
292 - 300 Garden waste - had neighbours overhanging tree cut down, most fell their side - despite knowing I was going to cut down they threw it all back screaming at me (i'd put a friendly letter through their door in April explaining and knocked on their door to discuss - told I shouldn't have done this or complained!) All taken to the council recycling
301 - 302 swept and bagged up some old gravel from side path
303 - 312 electric light fittings etc, bags of screws, nuts etc collected by freecycler.

I do feel I'm starting to notice a difference both having got rid of things but also belongings in more sensible places. DD1's stuff and her boyfriend's taking up alot of room and will be here for the next 6 weeks so trying not to get too stressed and keeping some things in case they want them.

MrsSD I would have counted the stuff moving to shed but I have a feeling DH will move it back to the house soon.

1077-1078 a couple of body wash samples have been used up.
1079 a pile of receipts sorted and the ones not needed for expenses are shredded.
1080 a pair of old scissors
1081 sock with a hole in
    1082 old pants

    427-430: items from fridge

431: Another DVD to the charity shop bag
432: Another t-shirt to the charity shop bag (delivered yesterday)
433: CD to the sell pile
434: oops, opened 2 cartons of cream cheese and one got lost at the back of the fridge... :o

I'm going to add the recycling for the year, that's 78 units: each unit is a bin 14x10x7 inches. I'm generating more recycling due to the extra packaging on coeliac goods due to their fragility - the Jaffa cakes are in a tray which is then in plastic film inside a carton  - so the new total is 512.

  • A couple of bin bags of papers, plastic and tin for recycling etc

Listed another small amount of stuff on ebay and Gumtree.
Sold a pretty notebook last night- being posted tomorrow.
Hopefully someone will want the big things- lovely rabbit hutch only used indoors- house buns now sadly deceased (died of very old age) etc etc, brand new radio controlled jeeps, cars etc

Not a lot of time free next week, but I'm hoping to get the sewing machine out and do the mending, which isn't really decluttering, but tidying!

Still working through the mammoth pile of housey/homey magazines I recluttered!
Have about 10 ready for giving to my pal, seeing her next week- hopefully I'll have a few more read by then.

    Have a fruitful week everyone:T:T

  • Back again.

1083-1089 plants to MIL old house. We are extending it and will rent it out so plants for garden so they can start to become established. Feeling pleased as the plants are all from cuttings.

Pile of mending has been done so more clutter gone as all back in cupboards.

    Hopefully decluttering will continue here.
