Showery day but lots more sunshine & warmth + the showers stopped about 3:00 p.m.
DH was busy in the garage - the coffee grinder project :rotfl: The garden hosepipe box planter is on hold as DH has had to order a couple more bits. DSis mainly stayed in her room, although did make us all coffees throughout the day.
I continued with my beautifying of our Close - I did two 40 minute stints & an hour long session. My F*tbit loves me :rotfl: I have finished weeding one side up to the main road & have started on the other side. Whilst I was at the end nearest the main road a lady with her empty pushchair & her little girl about 4 stopped & chatted about what I was doing & the name of the tool I was using - an extending patio knife. The little girl was very shy but lovely - so I now know some more neighbours :T Also very nice to be appreciatedMind you the pavement & kerbside look lovely. I am surprised at how uplifted I feel
- once I have finished I hope I can keep the feeling & do some serious decluttering in my home :rotfl: A day of chatting with neighbours: an
ex- neighbour who left 2 years ago with his wife & kids to work in Singapore & rented out his house. He has gone through the mill - his wife kidnapped their kids with the aid of various family members & spirited them out of Singapore to the U.K. & he has also received death threats from his wife  So for the last year he has been involved in various court battles but did get custody of the kids. He is back for another court date. Of course with it being an International case & Singapore having the death penalty there is added stress. An horrendous situation.
Later in the evening I had a long chat to our neighbour across the road. We talked about gardening & Br*xit :rotfl:
DSis finished off last night’s pizza, DH & I had hm soup with hm croutons & crackers.
Short tale, one of the neighbourhood cats is allowed to pass through our garden- it appears to have caught & killed a rat
:T that we didn’t know we had
3428 - 3441 Two drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, 6 lots of cardboard packaging, paper packaging, 2 cardboard boxes, 2 instruction booklets - Recycled
3442 - 3443 Bag of kitchen detritus, bag of garage detritus - Binned
Well Done whmf00001 :T good luck with the Christmas present wrapping - you have avoided the Christmas crowds :T Hope the hospital stay is a success.
bit by bit, I will see you for breakfast- I love apple & blackberry crumble - I will bring the milk & custard powder :rotfl::rotfl: well done to your DH - rehoming is almost as good as decluttering
If the rain holds off tomorrow, I will do another stint of beautifying our close

I binned two pairs of knickers.
I used up a face wash I didn't like as shower gel and I will use the end of a deep conditioner I don't like to shave my legs. I'm still in a using up products mode as I still have too many.:o

Thursday was another Showery day & rather breezy.
DH was busy in the garage again - the coffee grinder project :rotfl: DSis mainly stayed in her room - she has a swollen eyelid now - not sure if it is a bite or something else. Is quite painful 😖 & now so swollen that she can’t open her eyeI did suggest she see the surgery pharmacist & if no solution she would then be able to book a doctor’s appointment - but of course I was ignored
I continued with my beautifying of our Close - but only did one 40 minute stint - the breeze kept blowing away the weeds. However DH did trim out a neighbours tree - dangerously low hanging branches - then I dragged the branches across the road & DH used his garden shredder. Two green bags filled which we then transported to our back garden & composted :T It is a shared tree (with an awkward neighbour ) so only trimmed out one side :rotfl:
I caught the bus to sm (would have got wet if I had walked)
Dinner was veal escalope in breadcrumbs with fresh spaghetti in a tomato sauce - delicious 😋
3444 - 3453 Two drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, 4 small plastic pots, paper packaging, egg carton, newspaper - Recycled
3454 - 3457 Bag of kitchen detritus, plastic packaging, 2 plastic bags - Binned

OK, now to sort out the sock drawer by actually putting the socks in the drawer... :rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Friday has been yet another showery day (but heavier & more frequent showers than yesterday) & again very breezy. Loads of post today which took over half an hour to sort/deal with  Managed one 40 minute stint of beautifying our Close - 16 of 94 slabs weeded plus the section of kerb in front of one neighbour’s house.
DH was busy in the garage again - the pillar drill project :rotfl: DSis mainly stayed in her room - still has a swollen eyelid - but she can open her eye now.
Dinner was pork medallions in a mushroom Marsala sauce, with boiled potatoes & fresh green beans. My DSis was in 7th heaven - mind you (not to blow my own trumpet) it was stunningly delicious 😋 🤤
3458 - 3470 Four drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, glass jar & metal lid, 3 booklets, large cardboard box, magazine, 0.5” paperwork, plastic tray - Recycled
3471 - 3476 Bag of kitchen detritus, polystyrene packaging, 3 plastic bags, 0.25” shredding - Binned
Well Done short-bird :T & Barny1979 :T & choille :T
I did laugh short_bird :rotfl: I had visions of you chasing socks around the house trying to corral them into a drawer :rotfl: A new tv programme “One Woman & Her Socks” - I think it might be quite successful :rotfl:
See you tomorrow
