    Hi All

The kitchen is coming on, just the worktops to be made and then fitted, the flooring, new skirting boards and decorating:eek:

The decluttering is advancing at a great pace, but have I cheated to get closer to the 2019 figure ;), a lot comes from packing and packaging from the kitchen

1686 - Laminate floor taken to the tip
1687 - 1771 Cardboard boxes flat packed and to the tip
1772 - Old rubbish microwave to the tip
1773 - 1782 Cardboard boxes passed on to someone who is moving
1783 - Skirting board to the tip
1784 - 1792 Various bags of rubble and rubbish from the kitchen to the tip
1793 Empty oregano pot to glass recycling
    1794 - 1799 Glass bottles to recycling
    1800 - 1812 Plastic bottles to recycling
1813 - Rest of hubby's birthday cake to our bellies
1814 - 1817 Rusty kilner jars to the tip
1818 - 1821 OOD spices to the bin

    1834 - 1839 - Cans to recycling
    1840 - 1842 - Newspapers to recycling
1843 - 1855 Manky bits from fridge to green recycling
1856 - Rugby shirt posted back to Sports Direct
1857 - Polystyrene to the tip
    1858 - 1859 - Newspapers to recycling

It has been a busy couple of weeks and probably still another couple to go, but it will all be worth it.

Washing is stacking up but as today was dry and blowy I got as much done as I could between tip runs, , sorting kitchen, CS runs, chauffeur duties for DS and his GF to their friend's Mum's surprise birthday party.

I have also done 3 hours of ironing and am shattered so having an early night as ................

Tomorrow is DGS first birthday party, he is not 1 till Wednesday but having a get together beforehand.

I have been asked if I will make some sandwiches for everyone, so up earlyish tomorrow to make those. Thinking grated cheese, ham and egg mayo. I have sorted out some cookie cutters to make the sandwiches into interesting shapes for the little ones who will be there. Train, lorry and aeroplane.

Will then bling up the sandwich fillings for the adults, but can only think of savoury cheese crunch but I am sure I will get there.

Have a good Sunday all and catch up soon x

  • 1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

Saturday has been the rainiest day so far. Boo 😒 Managed another 40 minute stint & a 15 minute stint of beautifying our Close - 24 of the remaining 74 slabs weeded plus the last of the kerbside & scraped away most of the large weed growth. Not sure I will do anything tomorrow as it is supposed to rain all day :(
DH was busy in the garage again - the pillar drill project :rotfl: DSis mainly stayed in her room - still has a swollen eyelid - but her eye stays open now.
Chats with 3 neighbours through the day including the neighbour who had his car blocked in by someone parking on his driveway  to add insult to injury it was overnight :mad: DH spotted the driver returning & she insisted she had paid via e-Park - unfortunately she parked on the wrong driveway  DH investigated & discovered our ‘not so friendly neighbour across the road’ had the wrong picture & misinformation about the driveway - no wonder the driver was confused
Dinner was sausages, mash & plum tomatoes.

3477 - 3487 Three drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, newspaper, foil carton, 2 food cans, 3 lots of cardboard packaging - Recycled
    3488 - 3491 Bag of kitchen detritus, 3 plastic bags - Binned

    See you tomorrow

  • I got sent two 2020 calendars from charities I donate to so they went in the donation bag for the chazzer as I had already bought an academic calendar. I also added some pencils that I had been keeping in the junk drawer in the kitchen that I never use.

I added two tops from my husband's wardrobe as well.

Two hand washes used up and the last of the conditioner I had been using to shave my legs. Washed and they went into the recycling bin.

Very sad de-cluttering today as had to have my cat PTS yesterday in an emergency situation. So today am packing up his stuff, unopened food etc to hand in to Cat's Protection lady as that's where he came from several years back.
House seems quite empty with out him rubbing around my ankles.

Thanks all - he had a blood clot so we had to get him to the vets as we knew he was in a lot of pain and had lost the use of his back legs. Poor thing.
