  • Hello all sorry for the late post.
Irish Rose I'm glad that your mouth problem has been solved.
MrsSD congrats :T. I hope Mum and baby are still doing well.
On the decluttering front - 2 brand new T. shirts to DD. I bought them while on my last hols and didn't try them on til we were home, but they were too tight for my liking. IMO they are for a more slimline person ( although they were my size ) and not someone rather curvy like me ;) :rotfl:.
Tomorrow I need to give back a leather jacket that was decluttered to DH by a neighbour. Nice thought, but I'm really glad it didn't fit as he already has more jackets/coats than C&A's .

Take care and hugs to anyone who is in need.

    Enjoy the decluttering.

  • Thanks Nanny. Day 5 of my antibiotics now and just a slight niggle in my ear now and again, so still taking painkillers for that but thankfully no-where near as bad as I have been. I'm just annoyed it wasn't picked up on in June when I 1st went as tbh it put a real dampener on my holidays. Off for 8 weeks, was looking forward to the break and I was in pain for 7 out of the 8.
But anyhow, its done now, cant be changed so I've to countdown to my next week off at Halloween lol. Kids haven't even started back and I'm looking to the next holiday already:rotfl:

Back to today, I've other bit of tidying up, adding to the donation and recycling bags and trying to resurrect some old work uniform to use again this year.
My work provides me with 1 new polo top a year, and I've to purchase any extra tops I want myself. Unfortunately it's new supplier this year and instead of asking for samples to try on before ordering they went ahead and ordered last years sizes again, fast forward to last Tuesday when we received them, and mine and another colleagues are too big :( the sleeves are down to just above my wrists instead of being above my elbows:mad: Have basically been told tough luck you'll have to take it and wear it as it is  but they look terrible and I'm not comfortable at all.
I'll have to look into buying my own polos elsewhere and getting the logo embroidered on. That or look into seeing if it's possible to get the sleeves shortened somehow.

Another bag going up to work tomorrow also so that's one more thing gone again.

I'm still catching up on the thread but congratulations to MrsSD on your new addition hope mum and baby are keeping well!

Sunday has been another nice day - sunny, blues skies & fairly warm but oh so cold 🥶 when the sun sets :(
Didn’t get up until 10:00 a.m. - it was lovely to have a lie in after 2 days of early starts :rotfl: DH spent the day designing & making the stand for the corn grinder. He is honing his carpentry skills & really enjoying himself. I spent time in the kitchen - chopping & freezing the last of the spring onions, mushrooms & peppers plus making stale bread into croutons & sorting & tidying one drawer of the kitchen freezer. Then walked to sm past the dock - 4 swans, 4 Egyptian Geese, a dozen Canada Geese, 4 Greylag Geese & a few coots. Sm was busy :( but I managed to find everything on my list :) & then found an empty checkout :T. My luck didn’t extend to the bus stop :( I had to wait 10 minutes & then had the only bus driver who obeys the 20 mph speed limit :rotfl: Dinner was hm cottage pie with green beans - it was delicious & there is enough left for tomorrow plus the other half of the meat & mash is being bagged & frozen :j

3038 - 3052 Two glass bottles & metal lids, 6 drinks cans, 3 lots of cardboard packaging, magazine, food can, plastic tray, small bag of recycling from DH - Recycled
3053 - 3059 Three lots of plastic packaging, popped bubble wrap, 2 bags of kitchen detritus, bag of rubbish from DH - Binned

    Now cheerleading :rotfl:

Well Done Deni :T You seem to work well in leaps & bounds :D & you can see your bedroom carpet :j

An eclectic mix Gem-gem - Well Done :T Damson jam - yummy - I will see you for tea :p :rotfl:

IrishRose12, sounds like you had a lovely holiday :D & you have been busy since you came back :T sounds like you were quite brutal with your clothes decluttering. to 3 months of earache/toothache but at least you finally have an answer & it will soon be sorted.

Parsniphead, pleased to hear you are on the mend :D Just over an ounce a day - that is positively sterile :rotfl:

Well Done TC77 :T keeping the numbers moving :T

Well Done short_bird :T personal maintenance & pennies coming in :T

    Happy decluttering everyone :D

 Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Apparently the puppy idea wasn’t decluttered and now we have a new addition and all his clutter.

Only recycling gone on again, that and weeds. Being a puppy mummy is very tiring.

  • Oops, haven't posted in this thread since 2nd July:eek:

I have been doing bits over the summer, so going to assume 10 items a week for 10 weeks. Back to school this week, so hopefully back on the decluttering wagon as well. Cleaned out the cleaning cupboard yesterday. Have so many dishwasher cleaners and washing machine cleaners - always buy a double pack for Justin when they are in Aldi, and never keep count of what is in the cupboard. Also cleaned out chest freezer and finally bought extra baskets for organising, so I can actually see what's there! Shopping from the cupboard and freezer this week - ended up with a £20 Aldi shop for fresh bits:money:

Found loads of charity shop bags that come through the door. I tend to turn these inside out and use them to take my CS collection to a CS of my choice. Put all the bags inside one bag. Probably wouldn't get through them all on my own (in my lifetime!), but will need quite a few when my mum finally feels up to clearing out my dad's clothes, so keeping them for the moment.

    320-420 summer decluttering (10 weeks @ 10 items)
421-433 things thrown out of freezer (eg. odd bread rolls rolling around, box of soup from 2016, etc)
434-439 part bottles of cleaning stuff (of same brand) combined and old bottles recycled
440-472 old charity bags stashed for charity shop stuff and "outers" binned or recycled (some not recyclable)
473-476 old socks formerly used as polishing cloths
477 old pot of polish that smelt UUURG

    Hello all
We have the DGC for breakfast and for the school run this week and also half of next week, so lots of food already decluttered in their tums this morning. They have a snack tin for after school too - talk about hollow legs .
As I was up early I did a load of washing and then a tip trip with some of the broken fence panel wood and the back of a leather armchair :j. I have also decluttered the dirt on some of my windows, the others will have to wait until I get more energy :(. I think I need a lie down now :rotfl:.
