You both are welcome choille and cat crazy
I have to say that I am often overwhelmed but I am getting my self a little better sorted which coincides with the clearance of the clutter.
I am having to take care of myself. more at the moment as a lot is going on and I am holding a lot of balls up in the air. Some things are coming to a finish (today I collected the last of the sponsor money in for the Moonwalk I did in May) :T and some will finish in the next 6 months (sorting my sisters estate out)
This week I decided against doing some extra volunteering in favour of me doing stuff I needed to do for me, including having a nap :rotfl:
Coming to this thread is keeping me going and cheered up.
Thankyou for the kind supportive comments Mrs SD
This morning I woke early and jumped out of bed to empty a box in the Room of Doom. I am almost to a rarely seen corner.
There are two big piles of sorted items. One is a pile of quilts and pillows which I will wash and store in the loft. When the RoD becomes a guest room I will not need a thing.
The is also a pile of winter coats. Once the 'boys' have been though them what is left will be shared between the local homeless centre and the refugee centre.

19 items of paperwork shredded or recycled yesterday.
Also asked to be removed from several mailing lists to stop paper catalogues coming in by post. Will save me time and energy not having to pick them up and put them in recycling.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Morning folks, been MIA for a few weeks - RL, school hols, and being away to blame - but getting back into the swing of things now!
Lost count of the number of emails I keep de-cluttering, must be in the thousands since I joined this thread!! Not counting them as such, as there are so many, but I am now in the habit of clearing out my inboxes a few times a day, to keep the electronic clutter to a manageable level. :rotfl:
Since we returned from holiday last week, I've chucked loads into the recycling bins/boxes, and we're starting to work our way through the freezers before I re-stock for winter/Br***t etc.
Got some bags of grass clippings to take to the tip today, will add when I've actually done it!
My sister who lives in the US arrives tomorrow (family wedding next week). When mum died 3 years ago, sis asked us to keep things she wanted util she could take or ship them back with her. She's been over once, and did nowt with them, so this week's her last chance before I sell/donate to CS!! My loft and DH's work has become a dumping ground for these things, and others, so this coming week is D-Day, so to speak!! Can't wait to see the back of these things, not good for my MH to still have mum's stuff that I don't want (chose my keepsakes at the time).
We're getting a skip early next week - we had a new bathroom recently, and the old one is in a heap on the drive. I'll also take the opportunity to chuck out so much stuff that I'd usually take to the tip - can't bl00dy wait!! :rotfl:

Well, I have cluttered my home up with 2 sets of emergency equipment issued at work and to my Mum when the electricity strikes were on (1970's ???) so have just opened up to check what is in there. There is an ordinary analogue phone, plug into the wall socket type, wind up mobile phone charger, torch + batteries, foil blanket (like to marathon ones), a reuseable hand warmer and radio + batteries. I am not a gloom merchant but an enormous just in caser (another name for a clutterer). These were issued FOC by EON. Pleased now.0

Afternoon all
Havent had much to report recently im finding it hard to declutter too much when the children have lots of their things all over my house.
I have though been able to start decluttering my kitchen cupboards. Im slowly trying to eliminate plastic and store things in jars.Mainly because we seem to get weevils in doors and if you don't watch it they get into the packaging.I also have far too many things in my cupboard so trying to use it all up to prevent it going to waste.Im sure i dint need as many jars of sprinkles as i have :rotfl:MAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

Whizzing in very quickly to log some numbers lol! Jeez July and August have been manic months indeed, so haven't got as far as I'd like, but have finally got round to recycling 12 water cartridges, 12 ink ones and sorted out a tub of junk and ditched 22 items there!

Hello
I've had a good day at decluttering :T. Decided to sort/clean out the spare bedroom, decluttered the dustand a black bag full of stuff, some binned and some cs. Also binned some broken toys belonging to the DGC, a till that no longer shuts, a few toy food items that are bashed/chewed/ well worn, 2 robots with limbs missing and some mechano. Managed to get 3 baskets of toys into 2 and removed 2 more wire basket shelves which DH has fitted into his shed to put his toys ..... er tools in :rotfl:. Binned a roll-on deod as it was empty ( not guilty was 'im my 'laud
) and used up a can of polish. I even got rid of a bedroom bin, why do I need a bin in every room when there's only the two of us most of the time ? Never mind I feel quite proud of my efforts today, even if I say so myself !
Happy decluttering all
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0
