2019 - A Clutter Free Life

I have been good on the decluttering front this week.
I binned some old pet stuff, including more chewed up toys. My dog only has about 10 toys left now.:p
We used up quite a lot of food from the kitchen which cleared a lot of space. Lots of packaging went into the recycling.
I've rejigged things a bit so the kitchen counters are now clear apart from the kettle, a blender, a fruit bowl and a bottle of washing up liquid. I love it when it looks this tidy.:T
I'm making up another bag for the chazzer, so far a bag and a plastic organiser have gone in there. The two pairs of sunglasses as well as I forgot to put them in the charity shop bag last time!
I used up a shower gel, an air freshener, an eye cream and a body scrub.

Hi everyone, not making regular progress but tending to make big steps every so often - so today I have listed 12 things on the Bay of E - got a bid on one already and an offer on another! Took 2 bags to the charity shop. Did buy a plant pot but I needed that for a plant someone gave me
Got a few more things to list on the Bay and definitely more stuff for the CS. Gradually getting to see more and more of my bedroom carpet!

Saturday dawned bright & sunny - up at 7:45 a.m. & the patio workers were already here  & started working promptly at 8:00 a.m. Same number as yesterday - five chaps. Worked through to 4:30 p.m. (in the sunshine & warmth) - finishing the patio & building the front door step. They finished with about 15 minutes to spare before the rain started  If we didn’t have a brand new patio & brand new front path made of black bricks & edged with sand coloured bricks with a black brick front doorstep, you would never know anyone had been here. Cement mixer, compactor, brooms, sacks of unused sand, grout, cement & all the other tools etc packed away, old decking & bags of detritus taken away & swept clear front & back plus side fence panel back in place.
Now for the good bit - we have a gorgeous patio with a proper step down from the back door & a beautiful front path & new front doorstep :j:j:j They are things of beauty - everything prepared properly & finished meticulously :T Apparently we had the A-Team :rotfl: 14.5 hours work from start to finish :j rather than the 3 days we were told it would take :T Added bonus is that we have the leftover slabs & bricks & a bag of sand :rotfl: DH has paid the bill & the good news about that was 2/3rds was covered by the monies in the ‘forgotten’ bank a/c that he found last week :T :j Whilst the new patio is settling down, I/we need to plan/redesign the rest of the garden :rotfl: hopefully no further expenditure
DH is now making a stand for the renovated corn grinder & I did some paperwork - I was brutal
Dinner is going to be pork steaks, boiled potatoes, green beans & peas.
2998 - 3017 Glass bottle & metal lid, 4 plastic bottles, 8 drinks cans, paper packaging, cardboard packaging, magazine, 4 x 0.5” lots of paperwork - Recycled
3018 - 3021 Large plastic sack, plastic packaging, 0.5” shredding, bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
3022 - 3037 Old decking (counting as 10), 6 pieces of manky wood - taken away by workmen :T
Now cheerleading :rotfl:
Excellent work bit by bit :T & how wonderful that you have found a worthy cause to support :A I hope that they phone you promptly
Keep it up Catcrazy :T you are doing really well
Well Done villagelife :T motoring towards 1,000 items out :T

HI everyone:hello: Been a while again:o but valid reasons this time, I've been on my holibobs so haven't been at home to do any de-cluttering :rotfl: Back to normal now, and have definitely got to get rid of much more stuff from this house, as after spending the last month or so on holidays with just the basics I've once again realised I really do not need all the craaap I have in this house.
So, I started as I meant to go on.......... and after washing all my holiday clothes when returning home from each holiday (I've been on 3 since I was last on) instead of putting them back into drawers or into the suitcase, I have went through each item, and if wasn't used but taken away with me, then it was put into a donate bag. I then went through the rest of my clothes again and made another dent in those, some have been donated, some have been put into recycling. Others have just been dumped.
I took a load of books away to read while on holidays, and they were left in the hotel libraries or rooms when we left.
I've also wrote down what items I need for next year..........in saying that I'm hoping to have lost weight by next year so hopefully a whole new wardrobe, but knowing me it won't be needed.
I've started back to work now, and won't be off till Halloween again so things may start to slow down de-cluttering wise again but we'll see, I've already brought 2 bags back up to work so that's something else gone.
After suffering for almost 3 months now with earache and sometimes tooth ache, doctor told me it was my sinuses, went for a regular check up at the dentist and after telling them again about my problems they said again, it wouldn't be my teeth, ,but they'd take an X-Ray anyway.......... turns out I've had a blooming infection under my tooth this whole time:mad: So now on tablets to get that cleared up, and going next Friday to have said tooth removed.
As I'm back to work properly from Monday (kids back to school) I'm focusing on saving money. So I've bought a big food shop yesterday, and intend to make healthy lunches and snack. Hopefully it helps me save money, lose some weight and focus in looking after myself properly.
Hope all is well with everyone here, I'm going to go and read back a few pages to try and catch up. And I'm also going to venture to some of the other threads to see of there's any Christmas prep talk yet:eek::oPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

I've needed varifocals for desk computer and reading as well as a separate pair of distance glasses for TV and cinema for several years now. Ah well, I can have a clear out when I get the new ones. :rotfl:
