2019 - A Clutter Free Life

  • I put 2 hair styling items on local for sale site but since then, young neighbour came round and now I have given them to her. At least they are de-cluttered and to be honest, I prefer to offer for sale at a cheap price rather than just give away to strangers (not neighbour of course) as I sometimes wonder if they get for free and then sell at a car boot. Getting cynical in old age.

Hi everyone, just popping round as I have not been here for ages, My laptop died and I tried life without one, and although still just using the phone at present I am going to get a replacement so I can type with a proper keyboard. Decluttering goes on very slowly so being able to post comfortably will make me more accountable. Have a good week everyone

Wednesday has definitely been a lot cooler with blue skies but cloudier & the odd spots of rain & now a very cold wind. In fact the perfect day to take up the decking which is a good job too as we got a call this morning to bring the installation of the new patio forward from Monday to Friday  Anyway between the 3 of us we have found a place for the pots, garden box etc in our small garden plus we have taken up the decking, retrieved about 60 good quality screws (that DH had put in ;)), 3 dozen rusty nails/screws have been put in the metal box for the Tip & all the decking planks & wood supports have been neatly stacked ready to be taken away. We have 3 garden bags full of peanut shells, concrete dust/rubble & odd bits of rotten wood - will decide whether or not to add small amounts to general rubbish or do several Tip runs on the motor bike - decisions, decisions :rotfl: I picked another hg tomato & ate it myself :p Tonight DSis had Chines & DH & I had curry as a reward for our hard work 😓

2874 - 2881 Six drinks cans, plastic pot, newspaper - Recycled
    2882 - 2920 Three bags of garden/decking, 36 rusty nails/screws - Tip
2921 - 2922 Bag of kitchen detritus, ruined outdoor mat - Binned

Welcome back Molillie :D Nice to see you :j You are correct in feeling that if it is easy to post you are more likely to declutter & hold yourself to account :rotfl: Also I think that our friends here posting about their successes & challenges spur us all on to do better ;) Your decluttering might be slow but at least you are decluttering ;)

Slow & steady wins the race choille :T You must be noticing a difference :D:D

Just had a beautiful red sky, so I am hopeful for tomorrow - I do so love the sun & heat & unless the temperatures hit the high 30’s or low 40’s I try NOT to complain :p

Anyway, I will love you & leave you :rotfl: & see you tomorrow :D

Fifteen pieces of paper and a catalogue today... the place is a tip as I've been trying to root out paperwork for a long-gone mortgage which we think we've destroyed the documents for and we can't remember the lender... but we did have PPI with it! *Sigh* Probably not worth a fortune but I'll have another look in the morning.

    New total 1,463.

Just 5 items of paperwork yesterday.

I have nothing on over the next few days so planning for some bumper totals. Am fed up with constant "pile slides" and having to keep picking up the stuff that falls to the floor. It is definitely an incentive to carry on.

  • 6 older pillows gone to Charity collection, yay. Had a gardener come and so he de-cluttered lots of weeds and general debris and I have also used some of my home grown veggies, some of which are getting to the end of their season so when he comes again some of my pots may be emptied and sorted.
