Saturday dawned bright & sunny 😎 - blue skies, wispy white clouds & warm by 9:00 a.m. - although it got hotter & hotter. Our final Welsh breakfast :( sausage, bacon, egg, mushroom, tomato, baked beans, black pudding & hash browns + toast & marmalade with cafetière coffee. Left about 10:15 a.m. & headed off to our last landmark of 2019 - a church where King Tewdrig is buried. Lovely wooden statue & a great sundial high up on the church tower - it read 10:00 a.m. as there was obviously no allowance for BST :rotfl: Then back on the bike & the motorway slog home. Traffic was fairly free flowing & even London wasn’t too bad ;) Arrived home about 1:45 p.m. - very sweaty as the temperature had climbed to 34C & being responsible bikers we were wearing full kit  We have stripped off & changed into cool, dry clothing :rotfl: Two of the 3 bags have been unpacked & the first load is in the washing machine. The rest of the washing is sorted into piles with the washing that wasn’t done before we went away :o There will be 4 more loads  The few unused clothes have been put away, the wash bag has been put away & I just have to put the last bits from the 3rd bag away.

    Roll call of animals/birds seen:

Saturday: cows, sheep, sparrows, ravens, magpies, butterflies, bumble bees,
    RIP one squirrel

We have had a lovely time & are looking forward to next year - a new set of landmarks to photograph, new pubs/hotels to stay in & more delicious food to try ;)

    2806 - 2816 Plastic bottles & drinks cans - Recycled
2817 one beyond washing polo shirt - Binned

nannywindow, I am sorry I missed you - as I loved Usk so much maybe I can persuade DH to stay in The New Court Inn next year & we can arrange to meet up :)

    Well Done :- whmf00001; CEW & choille :T:T:T

Welcome home Mrs SD - glad you had a lovely time.

Living in a tourist area means I keep tucked away at home during bank holidays. So, have made a big mess and can report 52 items of paperwork shredded or recycled and 1 ball aluminium foil into recycling.

Several other items have been properly put away ie writing paper is now in the desk with writing paper already there so it will be used up in the fullness of time and further reducing clutter. Very satisfying.

I think that's enough for one day and will have another go tomorrow.

Sunday has been bright & sunny 😎 - blue skies, wispy white clouds & hotter than yesterday. Hopefully an Indian Summer :rotfl:
In the end I managed to do 4 loads of washing yesterday. Two loads fully dried & put away last night. The other 2 loads were left out on the whirligig overnight. Last load was DH’s motorcycling trousers which I washed & reproofed this morning & have been put out on whirligig. The washing that I left out has been folded & put away.
DH has watched the motorcycle GP races. I have been clearing down my planner.

    2818 - 2823 Cardboard box, 0.5” paperwork, magazine, 3 drinks cans - Recycled
    2824 - 2825 Bag of non-recyclable plastic packaging, 0.5” shredding - Binned

Yesterday we picked hg tomatoes numbered 5, 6, 7 - they are sooooo tasty 😋

Currently watching ‘Unforgotten’ - really enjoying it but lots of twists & turns & I have no idea what is going on :p

Excellent work oceanspirit :T it must be a lovely feeling to have a place for your writing materials & to dispose of paperwork :T I am sure that paperwork breeds - every time I get it sorted more appears :rotfl:

I know it is a Bank Holiday tomorrow but I really do need to get back on track with actual decluttering ;)

On that note I will love you & leave you :D

Today's offering.... decluttered some pitted cutlery which should have been thrown out when the new set was bought :(. Sorry M'lud t'was Justin's fault again :rotfl:.
An empty medicine bottle and several recycled bits and bobs, including an empty tea bag box, the contents of which have been vaccuum sealed in smaller amounts, as I didn't realise they were loose bags and not foil wrapped
Recluttered - a beef roast dinner into my tum followed by a cream and jam doughnut at tea time, not going to do the diet much good but........mmmmmmmmmm so delicious :j
    Happy decluttering all

been trying really hard the last couple of days as off work
    54- 59 charity shop clothes
    60- 63 recycling from garden
    64 large rug freecycle
    65-84 coat hangers on freecycle
    85 lilo in bin
86-89 squash bottles full x 2 and box of straws to neighbour having an event
    90-92 toys to cs
    93 shorts to daughter
    94 garden waste
95-97 emails send that required lots of paper drafts!

A few things put on ebay and freecyle so hoping more will be gone tomorrow. I know cheeky counting each of the coat hangers but did get rid of so many things earlier this year and so keen to get to 1000 this year!

What do people do with DIY bits, have two different hinges, unopened catches for sash windows and other things I don't know what they are. Tried freecyle but no takers and hate throwing away.

Away for a few days so very little done but here are some.

936-940 magazines and trade journals embarrassed or given to an English couple we met.
941-942 toiletries samples used up and thrown away.

That's all for now. It means less going home with us.

Wouldn't it be great if Justin Case came to pick up all the stuff they have in our houses.
