Apologies for not cheerleading yesterday - poor wi-fi signal :(

Weather was dry & bright but occasionally a bit chilly. Left home at 11:00 & arrived at Welshpool about 2:45 p.m. Flitted in & out of Wales taking photos of Heritage Railway, castles & the Knockin Shop ;) Ended up at our friends’ place in Gobowen - which sounds like it should be in Wales but is in fact in England :rotfl: A very pleasant evening - Italian meatballs with penne & melted cheese - absolutely scrumptious + the focaccia I provided :D Eton mess for afters - delicious 🤤 Lots of chat & laughter & in bed by 10:00 p.m. :p I woke up at 2:0 a.m. for a bathroom visit, then 6:30 a.m. for another visit but decided to get up ;) Two cups of tea before anyone else came down :D However our hosts were having tea in bed :rotfl: Cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, egg, hg tomatoes, black pudding, fried bread & mushrooms + slice of toast & marmalade. Yum, yum, yum 😋 We left about 10:30 & headed back into Wales. Weather started dry with the sun attempting to break cloud cover :) & was ok temperature wise but rained at 1:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. - 2 short, sharp bursts of rain. Got very windy from 4:00 p.m. & damp. Today we saw a waterwheel, boundary stone, beautiful wrought iron gates at Chirk & mini gaol. PLUS a castle in Caergwrl - I made the mistake of offering to walk up & take the picture - very silly - steep switchback climb of 1 km :eek: DH nearly sent out a search party :rotfl: Now safely ensconced in our hotel in Nefyn - just about to go into dinner.

I will return later for cheerleading.

Well, the person who bought my laptop decided they didn’t want it and are sending it back. They didn’t read the description. I was fuming.

I used up a few things, a kitchen cleaner and two cleaning cloths as I cleaned my floor yesterday.

Mouthwash bottle, the sugar scrub I made and another moisturiser all used up.

I put all the rubbish and recycling out as well.

I went to a Chinese herbal doctor and she said that coffee was really bad for causing migraines (which I used to get) so I thought I would just cut them both out. I have had the occasional cup of tea here and there, but haven't missed it at all.:) No migraines either!

Decluttering at Dad's today. His old microwave out and new one in, all packaging recycled. He did try to give me a lurpak toast rack, but I said no thanks :naughty: I don't need anymore stuff to clutter up my cupboards. I knew it would never be used and I felt quite proud of myself :D. Only trouble is he put it back in his cupboard so I expect I'll be the one having to get rid of it eventually anyway :rotfl:.

Maybe a silly question, but does your dad ever visit your place? Will he notice that you do not use the toast rack? Will he buy a new one for himself? I think a little bit of deception may help here; just accept the toast rack (and anything else he wants to get rid of) and drop it off at a charity shop on your way home. Or to be semi-uofront about it, you can discuss with him that you will accept anything, see if it works for you, and pass it on if it doesn't.

Normally yes, MrsSD, however I was so mad my finger missed the right button and I accidentally accepted the return. And you can’t undo that apparently. I have reported the buyer for return an item that was as described and therefore misleading me and eBay. We shall see. I expect it will have to go back,up.

Siebre my Dad is here twice a week (at least ) for meals and yes he would notice. I think he thought I was opening a B&B.....perish that thought . We don't have toast that often anyway and when we do it's just put on a plate ! The thought that I may not use it or give it away if he donated it to me, would have him running for the hills and I would never hear the end of it. It took me and my DD 4 yrs of "bullying" to get him to let us dispose of my late DM's clothes :(. I have also given up asking him to dispose of a larder fridge, sent in error by a company who never collected it. I've offered to advertise it or try to give it away, but to no avail, he just won't budge :(. It's been in his conservatory covered in an old sheet for at least 6yrs :wall::wall::wall:.
    Thanks for the thoughts.
In other news I'm having a quiet day as I think I've pulled something in my chest, no doubt from lugging fence panels about :rotfl:. I ain't no spring chicken anymore :p

    Take care all
