Hubby has decluttered a cricket match today - weather is awful here and the garden will be flooding again. Might get some actual decluttering done if I can face it.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

In my bedroom so far are three white candles that I never use along with a fake plant. I have some flickering Amazon candles that I use instead.
I threw away some of my husband's old sandals too. I need to go through his wardrobe again as he has bought a few new tops lately so some old ones could go.
Charity shop bag:
Sunglasses, candles, fake plant, a book, a top and a pair of shoes.
Binned:
Incense sticks that I dislike, a jumper that went very weird after washing, two more dog toys, an old deodorant and some out of date mayo.0 -
Parsniphead, unfortunately he will be back to school soon, is doing D of E, spare time he goes to local drama club where he loves doing the lighting and sound for productions, is in a local choir, helps out at the church (cleans cars etc) and has so much homework that now he is older I doubt I will see quite as much as I used to, and there are no girlies in his life yet but thats not going to be very long I expect. Has been quite a shock to me that he is now doing "man" stuff and not "boy" stuff. Ah well.0

Up & at ‘em by 8:30. Quite a bright day with a decent amount of sunshine & quite warm when the gale force wind isn’t blowing :rotfl: Finished sorting the personal paperwork then walked to sm for a small shop for DH as he is cooking tonight :T I am also continuing with the clearing down of my planner. DH is out in the garage with his new project - a hand turned corn grinder brought over from France - he has dismantled it, is replacing bolts & de-rusting prior to repainting sympatheticallyDSis is in her room - sleeping

The weather stayed quite nice until about 5 p.m. but it has rained on & off since then with several heavy showers (which I have managed to avoid :T) DH got back from his MOT at the same time I got back from the sm. As well as his full English he had visited a barber. He has decluttered a lot of pennies but nowhere near the number he will have to declutter on his next service
I dropped off the bag of notebooks, tape & plastic sleeves at the CS clothing store - gratefully received as the whole shop floor was covered with donation bags & the young lady needed notebooks to list the donationsI think she was rather happy that I hadn’t brought in a clothing donation :rotfl: Walked to sm, did my shopping then picked up some tissue paper, wrapping paper & a card for the soon to be great great niece. On the way to payment desk I found 20p
, paid for my goods & then only had to wait a few minutes for my bus.
Now are you seated comfortably & ready for a joyously weird & wonderful tale ......................
The last passenger on the bus spent a few minutes talking to the bus driver before we pulled away. A couple of stops into the journey I glanced down at the floor & spotted a purple card holder. Tapped a gentleman on the shoulder & asked if it was his. No came the answer but “I believe the lady at the front of the bus was talking about a lost pass” I opened it up, photo ID of a lady who was rather similar looking to the lady at the front of the bus, so off I went. She was the owner & almost cried she was so happy to get it back. Now for the weird & wonderful - she had lost her Freedom pass on her way to the sm & somehow got back on the exact same bus for her journey homeI found the pass on the floor next to the seat she had used on her initial journey
Never have I been so happy that I look down rather than up :rotfl: Serendipity at work :T:T
Dinner was - not to blow my own trumpet- my best ever cottage pie with green beans. So tasty that DH & DSis both had large 2nd helpings. My DSis stated it was the best one yet & she particularly enjoyed the lo kidney beans & sweetcorn I had added. Mind you it was very tasty

Catcrazy - good choice of one in, 1 or 2 out :T. Surprising how it concentrates the mind when out shopping knowing that you have to get rid of items when bringing in new items :rotfl:
See you all later

That is such a lovely ending to what would have been such a horrible shock to the lady. Well done for finding it at the right moment.
I have found two rings (at different times) in Tesco's one in the corner the other under the vegetable units. I handed them in. The first was a small diamond ring - someone's engagement ring that they had lost. The second was a wedding ring which a gentlemen had been wearing for 50 years. It is such a lovely feeling when you know something precious like a freedom pass or jewellery has got back to the rightful owner.
Recycled: eye makeup remover bottle, card from new bras, envelope and receipts.
Binned: two very old bras, broken laundry basket and small face cream container2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I haven't posted for the last few days but I have been doing a bit of decluttering here and there
9&10 - two bags of recycling - the usual tins, jars, paper etc.
11&12 - two large cardboard boxes
13&14 - two bags of rubbish to black bins (one was my neighbours as she left it outside her door and went on holiday. I am claiming it as an "outside" declutter.
15 - makeup - this is stuff that I have kept for years. I don't know why I am so resistant to throwing it away as it is well past its best by now.
I am looking forward to tomorrow when I hope to declutter three folders of paper work. I have decided to take a break from being treasurer of one group (eventually I hope to declutter a few more committee roles).January 2021 Frugal Living limit £339.50, target £300
