Stayed warm & I did visit the sm & I did make a focaccia. The walk to the sm past the dock was wonderful - I had bread & seed with me & was rewarded with Egyptian Geese, Canada geese & their 5 goslings, tufted ducks, coots, crested grebes, mallards & even managed to feed a couple of sparrows :rotfl:. Salad for dinner & yes I will do the washing up before I go to bed

Pushing ever onward... I tidied the understairs cupboard and threw out some pots of ancient chocolate sprinkles and a board that keys used to hang on. I also discovered I'd thrown out another 15 items of paper on Monday but missed the tally when I was adding up yesterday. So my new total is 935.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I am back after a couple of months hiatus, we had work done on the house and it definitely didn't feel like decluttering, even though it kind of was!
Anyway, getting back on track now, I have sold £60 of books to We Buy Books, plus sold a dress that doesn't fit on facebook marketplace. It is a good start and the books were stored at my office to keep them out of the house, so I have a full shelf in the office available now. The books the buying site don't want I will try sell on marketplace as they are industry specific.
I am going to catch up with everyone else now and read back through the thread a bit for inspiration.0 -
Whooh one bag of nighties collected, CS bag put through door so if no takers for the rest, then they go out on Monday. No takers for the bras I have advertised, loathe to just give away and only asking for £3 and some are brand new so will wait a while longer. Winter duvct cover also going out Monday. Some weeds de-cluttered but bin men forgot mine and neighbours bin last week, rang council but still not collected so not much room and its the black bin which is on 2 wk cycle. Stared to knit a small sort of foot muff for myself for winter (diabetes cold feet, even in summer) out of bag of left over balls of wool, nothing fancy, just for me. Eating some of garden produce so not buying salad stuff much, de-cluttering freezers a little. Thanks you Mrsd for hand clapping encouragement.0

Saturday is a lot cooler & cloudier than it has beenbut the upside is that it will make for a pleasant ride down to Kent
I have had a very relaxing bath & took the opportunity to read a few more pages of Far From The Madding Crowd. I am finding it really heavy going as I am not a fan of the style of writing
but I am determined to read it ASAP
then I can return it to the CS :j
I have obviously been corrupted by reading Stephen King :rotfl:
The focaccia is wrapped & in a bag with 2 jars of home grown olives in olive oil. I have a dress to change into - wish I had had it in France in all the heatFortunately it escaped several culls of my wardrobe
& hasn’t been worn in years
but it was so pretty I just knew I would wear it eventually
DH is watching the German MotoGP qualifying & DSis is in her room catching up on TV serials

Every little helps & it always surprises me how gratified I feel whenever anything leaves the house & I hope that you are all aware that you need to pat yourself on the back EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMETHING LEAVES YOUR HOUSE NEVER TO RETURN :j We all KNOW we can do it, we just need to remember that decluttering is a marathon not a sprint (apologies to whomever I ‘borrowed’ that pearl of wisdom from)
See you tomorrow & I hope that you all have a successful decluttering weekend

Hi all,
Taking advantage of the wet in Derby to clear out a bit. DH on board. We have cleared a small set of draws and small table. The draws have been sold and should be going out today and table to the CS. :T
DH and DD just gone out for an hour or two so on goes the music and a bit of fast clearing will begin.Every little helps & it always surprises me how gratified I feel whenever anything leaves the houseWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. I've just been back through my diary and identified another30 items decluttered between 21st and 30th June (when I didn't update here). That brings me to 965 so far this year.
Today I bought various bits and pieces at a car boot sale but that includes some wool (6 balls I think) that I can't use so they went straight to a friend, also a box that has also been donated. I will mention very quietly and hope no one notices that I kept more wool than I gave away, as well as a cute little soft toy, a book and a craft accessory. I also bought fabric for a project but it didn't look right when I got home so I think it may go to my sister. I wont count that till it's gone.
New total is therefore 972I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

MrsSD Thank you
I'm getting there just hard at the moment but trying to do lots with DS, family and friends to get my mind off things
Decluttered a lot of rubbish round the house yesterday, mowed the lawn on Thurs and got rid of some weeds. Need to make a to-do-list of things I want to get done this week!
