We left just before 3 p.m. & got stuck for 5 minutes within 500 yards from home  There had been an accident & one rather wrecked car had been cordoned off with police tape but left jutting out into the road at an angle with all the debris still there  Traffic was then appalling for the next 10 milesI didn’t think that many people were attending a 1 year old’s birthday party :rotfl: Anyway, the delay meant that we arrived just as the last children were leaving :T
I got changed immediately into my dress as rather warm by the time we arrived. Good job everyone was sitting down as it was the 1st time they had ever seen me in an actual dress :rotfl: even though I have been in the picture for almost 30 years :rotfl:
Dinner was eaten outside - baked potatoes with chilli con carne or chicken curry + the focaccia for dippingBirthday cake for afters - lemon sponge with green lemony butter icing. Birthday boy was a joy - he is a happy smiley baby & Apparently thoroughly enjoyed his day - 50 people - kids & adults  Think he was probably happier with just 10 of us
Had a lovely time - lots of catching up & then birthday boy was put to bed about 8 p.m. at his grandma’s. His mum & dad then opened the gift from my DSis - they loved the clothes - a onesie with a Dumbo motif & a matching sun hat & a couple of t-shirts with whale motifs. The outfit matches his passport cover :rotfl: They also loved the money box (originally my nephew’s). Mum & dad went home for a quiet night :rotfl: I was up & at ‘em by 8:00 a.m. - & DH’s niece was already up with her grandson watching Thomas the Tank Engine & Peppa Pig
We all Met at a cafe in town & had breakfast, then dad took the birthday boy home & mum came back with the rest of us to collect her car & the gazillions of birthday presents
.
Pleasant interlude with DH’s sister, her husband & his niece & her husband - several cups of tea/coffee & lots of reminiscing (I knitted) Niece’s husband then packed up his tuba, ironed his uniform & went off to perform in a brass band. DH & I left about 1:45 p.m. - swift journey until a mile away from Dartford Tunnel - took 35 minutes  The crashed car was still there jutting out into the road with all the debris - untouched  & still dangerous
I have unpacked our overnight bag, put everything away & Done a wash like ad which is on the whirligig. Hope the rain holds offHave just washed an excessively long scarf I knitted + an old scarf of mum’s - for donation to CS.

I will get back on the Decluttering Bandwagon tomorrow
How are you doing Theresa? Hope you have managed to start your journey to a clutter free life
Well Done to the following :- bit by bit - I have a picture of you dancing 💃 & picking up bits of clutter & tossing them out :rotfl:; Barn1979 - still plugging away; Cherryfudge - wool is OK as you will knit something either as a gift or a donation
; villagelife - I am sure paperwork breeds
; chocolatelover93 everything helps :T rubbish & weeds are excellent things to get rid of
; TamsinC - don’t you just hate it when you lose a post grrrr - you are obviously like me in that you type it out & then forget immediately :rotfl:
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend & see you all tomorrow

I have just posted this on my diary but I thought it's appropriate for here too.
British G@s finally coming on Wednesday to do my annual service after I've put it off for weeks due to the state of the house. Anyway this morning panic ensued about the state of the house. So follows a big of a brag..........
I have
Cleared and cleaned three bedrooms
Cleared and vacuumed the stairs
Completed cleared the cellar steps
Thrown out loads of stuff
Earmarked tons of stuff in the cellar to go to the tip later this week
Cleared some stuff from the kitchen
This was all meant to be done over the next two days so I'm pleased with myself. It means the rest of today and tomorrow can be used for more cleaning, clearing and decluttering. Perhaps I may even make it to the tip.
I will give the kitchen and bathroom a good deep clean after collecting DS from school.
It feels so good to be getting somewhere.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I hope you don't get exhausted or too wound up to sleep... save yourself a bit of time to go round appreciating all you've achieved.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hello all
Sorry I have MIA again, but we've been on yet more holidays in our caravan, to sunny Devon this time and I have brought back a lovely deep sun tan ( and lots of washing)
I did declutter 4 novels whilst I was away, as I spent most of my spare time reading in the sun :j and then I donated them to the on site library. I also bought myself 2 new T. shirts ( sale items and couldn't resist ) but yesterday I managed to declutter 2 new unworn tops to my DD. Unfortunately she re-cluttered 2 sweat tops and a jacket that had belonged to SiL to DH :rotfl:. Oh well 2 steps forward and 1 back !!
I've also probably re cluttered the weight that I lost before the hols, too many ice creams and cream teas etc, so I'll have to address that too
Anyway I am back home til our next one in mid September, so I must now knuckle down and crack on with the decluttering.
I hope everyone is well, hugs a-plenty if not.
Happy decluttering all
