Hello everyone
Been MIA for a while, and was horrified to see the thread had disappeared temporarily!!
Lost track of how much de0cluttering I've done since May, but maybe about 100 items (bringing my total to 310). Also, recently, I've got shut of:
311: Box of coathangers to community clothing project.
312-313: 2 boxes puzzles & board games to same project.
314-321: 7 bags and a huge armful of garden waste to the tip.
322-323: 2 bags of clothes etc. to CS.
324-326: 2 packs of meat and 1 of fish from the freezer for meals during the last week.
We're having a new bathroom fitted this week, so I've also decluttered the old tooth mug, loo brush, and some near-empty toiletries (6 things altogether), so up to 332 as of tonight.
Tomorrow I'll be decluttering a Mothers' Day voucher at the local beauty salon, plus aiming to dismantle the littlies' bunk beds (metal so will be leaving outside for the scrap man), and a variety of stuff for the CS.

Quick pr!cis- did have our ride out on Friday - still very hot 🥵Dinner was prawn salad, sea bass on mash, fruit flan with ice cream. About 4:00 a.m. went out on balcony & saw Jupiter & a gazillion stars. Saturday very hot & we sweltered in full motorcycle gear. Train was hot & returned to U.K. on the hottest day of the year so far  Got home & DSis made us hot & cold drinks + dinner. We got changed & I did 4 loads of washing & 2 loads on Sunday. Everything dried outside, folded & put away. Holiday bags emptied & contents & bags put away.
DSis was busy with paperwork whilst we were away - only 2 crates left in dining room & 2 crates of photos in spare room. The 2 crates of crockery were emptied by me (Monday) & 12 place setting of dinner plates, tea plates & soup/dessert bowls bagged for CS. Kept 2 large cups, a large serving plate & 2 large serving bowls. Finished the shredding. Tuesday was another nice day but a lot cooler. DH & I delivered the crockery & DSis clothing & a few odds & ends to CS. Static bike moved to garage.
Numbers are elsewhere so on 2080 out of 4038
Tuesday I also went through 2 bags of hidden stuff & allocated to final resting places + washed & reproofed DH’s old motorcycle jacket
2081 - 2087 Four Rolls of recycling bags, bag of packaging, large glass vase, Grand Canyon motif sweat shirt - CS
2088 - 2090 Bag of general detritus, bag of kitchen detritus, empty compost bag - Binned
2091 - 2102 Empty beer can, empty drinks can, 3 plastic takeaway boxes & 6 plastic lids, plastic bottle - Recycled

I haven't been here for ages as I lost all my login details....
But what progress I am making in decluttering this past few weeks. I have even managed to sell some unused items making about £500.
Today's tasks are to clear paperwork and take some clothing to the cs. I have a visitor coming for 3 weeks so will have to meal plan but all in good time.0 -
I’m new to this, what are the plenty of option that you refer to Mrs Salad?0

Hello everyone,
Been a while since I have posted!
June wasn't the best month for me MH wise.
I have managed to declutter an ex! It's been hard but I am getting there, finally realizing some truths about him that I wish I had actually listen to people when they told me!
Anyway....had a good clear out of the kitchen cupboard the other day and put some bits aside to give to family and any bits left are going to the food bank.
Sorted some of DS old plates out, he had a couple of them separator ones which I really don't like as I think it can encourage fussy eating but maybe that's just me?
Fruit bowl to CS
Old blanket to CS only got it a couple of months ago but I washed it and it's gone hardtried all sorts to soften it up again.
Old bin - but in good condition to CS. Bought it for DS room when he was younger to put nappies in but didn't realize what a bad idea that was with a toddler!!

It's back!
I decluttered two winter coats with the donation bag the other day. I have three black winter coats (all from chazzers) but only kept the most flattering M&S one.0 -
Hi everyone.
I've been missing for a while and things have been chaotic especially with things breaking down and a hole in the bay roof. All things are fixed now and fingers crossed it will be calm for a while.
On Monday I had a trip to the tip. It's so cathartic, I just feel so good after. What a saddo eh. I have booked for my annual gas service for Monday so i have no choice but hitting the house hard until then. I have broken up from work now and DS doesn't break up until 19th. I want to make as much of a difference by that point. This afternoon I want to clear out 5he kitchen cupboard. It shouldn't take long as there isn't too much in there. An easy win. I also want to clear the stairs. Another quick win. After that my bedroom will need a quick tidy and clean. Tonight I'm going to focus on the main kitchen area and the bathroom.
Tomorrow if I have enough another tip trip may be in the offing. I would like to go twice a week until school ends if possible.
I need to fit in a trip to the charity shop too.
I have re-cluttered a bit this morning. Most of the school uniform is now purchased for September except for shoes, pumps and a new winter coat. Shoes will be done the day he breaks up. I would rather replace six weeks early than deal with cl@rks chaos during the holiday.
Anyway time to get on and get started. Have a fab day all.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

:hello: Teresa & welcome aboard ‘The Decluttering Bandwagon’
All of us here have looked around our homes & decided that we have too much ‘stuff’ cluttering up our lives & we are finally ready to release a huge portion of it into the wild - charity shop (CS) or recycling or binning or gifting to friends/family or even repurposingHowever the biggest decision we have all made is to start decluttering :rotfl:
There are several ways to start your decluttering & you can choose to count every item out or just the number of bags of stuff or you could just count by rooms cleared or even not count at allMost of us choose a ‘counting & listing system’ & we post on here to remind ourselves how far we have come or to read back when the ‘Decluttering Mojo’ goes on holiday.
We have all been overwhelmed with the amount of clutter & often it is difficult to know where to start, but here are a few suggestions :-
1. Pick a room & go in with a black bin bag & throw away all visible ‘rubbish’. Then move from room to room and continue.
2. Do the same with a recycling bag - magazines are the worst - they get everywhereI now try to read & recycle immediately.
3. You could also do this with a charity bag or even a bag/box of items that you will sell.
Yippee :j YOU HAVE STARTED :T Remember to get the bags out of your home as soon as possible
4. Create a haven - it does not matter whether it is an entire room or just a corner. Somewhere that is neat & uncluttered & you can sit down with a cuppa or a glass of something & do something you enjoy (knitting, reading, crossword puzzles or even just relaxing) It is important that you can reward yourself for your decluttering efforts :T You could even post on this thread :rotfl:
5. Lots of us find decluttering in chunks of time very useful - we pick an area/room/surface & declutter for 15 minutes. If we are on a roll we do another 15 minutes & so on.
6. Try to put things away & then keep the space you have decluttered clear. Eventually all the decluttered areas will meet up :j & hey presto you have decluttered a room :T
If you have a mobile phone, it might be an idea to take before & after photos - you then have something to remind you that you are ‘A SUCCESSFUL DECLUTTERER’ :T
Please post & let us know how you are doing
So again welcome & ‘happy’ decluttering.

Hi all. So glad this thread is back. I have enjoyed the tales of your travels MrsSD. Most excellent. Maybe you could put them is a book.
For myself; I am using a lot of energy on the allotment at the moment so not doing much at home. Hope to be back at it soon. However I have just read your advice to Teresa and am inspired to go upstairs with a bin liner and chuck some rubbish.
I know its the wrong thread but over the last few weeks we have avoided getting rid of a strimmer, which my DH took to pieces and repaired :TWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor.
