  • Patchy internet. Hot, hot, hot - 37c on bike readings but 39c on pharmacy sign! Nice lunch in Esch sur Sure. Arrived safely, extended cold showers for both of us. Nice room, small balcony & view across the valley. Drinks on the terrace. Dinner was delicious - amuse-Bouche of tuna & egg with warm bread, pork terrine on toast with jam & lettuce, beef stew with chips, strawberries & ice cream. Absolutely delicious 🤤

Everyone off to their rooms by 9:30 !

    Hope this goes !

Good morning Mrs SD and all.

Your holiday sounds absolutely beautiful Mrs SD.

Well I have stepped back into sorting this place and me out...been a hectic few weeks due to work, family and being ill too. Hoping now a bit more normality and some progress too.

This week 2 bags to charity, 2 to recycling and 1 rubbish.

Have deep cleaned dining room, took large rug outside power hosed it. Its now dry and smells so fresh. Cleaned the dining room windows inside.

    Plans for today are
    clean fridge
sort more for charity shop bag, clothes etc.
    start utility room

have booked for charity to collect a desk and a chair next week
  • 1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

Didn’t sleep well - too hot & woke every 2 hours with a mouth like the bottom of a birdcage  So lots of water & mixed up a bottle with a bit of salt & sugar to try to rebalance electrolytes ;) DH slept through as did several other members of our group:T
Friday has dawned bright & sunny & hot 🥵 The sun will be on the terrace & our balcony all day :D However there is a nice cooling breeze :T Continental breakfast - lots of juice & coffee & croissants & bread & jams & cold meats & cheese + locally made sheep’s yogurt :D
Currently lazing about - Angry Birds for me (connected to DH’s iPhone :T) & DH is watching motorcycle GP practice sessions on his phone ;)

May go out for a short ride later - temperatures are supposed to be in the low 30’s :p so should be a ‘bit’ more bearable ;)

Well Done everyone on your decluttering :T & commiserations to all who have had trying times - keep on smiling :D

Hopefully see you later - fingers crossed 🤞
