Spent yesterday gathering together 70+ plant pots from the garden and shed. They all got a wash, then I kept 5 and have Freecycled the rest. I don't have a greenhouse anymore so I rarely grow from seed.
I've also Freecycled 2 heated propagators and a potting tray.
The plan is to get the big shed cleared of junk so we can use the little one as a playhouse for DD.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Hello,
Super new around these parts and wondering if I could join? I moved into my little place coming on almost four years ago, we moved in with nothing as it was our first home together and since then it's just got more and more cluttered and I never really know where to start. I try but it gets so overwhelming all the time, I'm certain everyone gets this but it's so bad I tend to only go home to sleep as I don't want to admit I have a problem!
I've read a million and one blogs on what to do and what not to do, before and after moving in and the one which has stuck with me is the minimalists game, which I'm hoping to start on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone had done this and if they found it useful or whether I should just start going around the house and getting rid of stuff? I know I need to be brutal on what we keep and what we don't keep but most of the time it's just really hard.0 -
19/52 - I eventually picked up the courage to find the textile recycling bin at the recycling centre (for rags). Bin was very clearly labelled so I had nothing to worry about. 3 holey jumpers recycled at last0

Snap. We moved in about 4 years ago and the house needed doing up, but due to one thing or another we haven't done anything yet so every room needs doing.
I did take a bootful to the dump last weekend, made such a difference to be able to walk into the hallway without tripping over things. It's the little stuff I don't know where to put or what to do with, like the imax glasses, plasters, pens, batteries etc. We have almost no storage solutions in place, so can't put things in drawers or cupboards so it all hangs round in boxes...
Reading this thread is helpful though, I do like to see what other people do and how they do it.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
