I haven't been around since about the middle of May so a quick update with what I can remember decluttering.
Welcome, new people (vintageteainmywardrobe, there should be some sort of award for your choice of name! I am sure that when you part the clothing, there is a Narnia-like opening to a sunny lawn with a white-painted cast iron table set with dainty china and dappled shade under huge majestic trees).
Mrs SD, your hotel sounds an absolute dream.
My decluttering... donated some over-enthusiastic plants that were growing in a path (9 items), and a few bits of paper. If there was more, I don't remember it so I just need to jump back in as Flylady says. I'm counting 12 items and not admitting I've bought quite a few plants in the meantime.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Friday it was ‘persisting’ down ALL day from at least 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. There was an half hour break when we were indoors having a bowl of soup & trying to thaw out a little :T No chance of getting dry as we were sodden :rotfl:However our break was very entertaining as we went as far away from the door as we could & were seated by a window with a small patch of grass leading down to a raging brook/stream
Whilst we were there we saw :- a duck with FIVE ducklings, a Clydesdale (horse), a goat, a rabbit & a beautiful little bird (possibly a pied wagtail - but wi-fi is spotty so I cannot confirm :rotfl:) We had some toast left from breakfast so we fed mummy duck :T Duly fortified we continued on (in the rain ) felt vaguely human. Arrived at our hotel The Kintail Lodge, Glenshiel, Kyle of Lochalsh feeling very sorry for ourselves
Shower, changed & straight to the bar :rotfl: Several drinks later & after another delicious dinner we felt human. Shared a starter - Cullen Skink with warm hm bread, then DH had a very spicy chilli with couscous & various accompaniments & I had venison (again :rotfl:) which was completely different from Thursday night’s dinner, this time with mashed butternut squash & boiled potatoes skin on - DH preferred mine :rotfl: DH treated himself to a 15 year old Scotch
Large Room again with a double & 2 single beds BUT no chairs. Great view of the Loch & again we could see our bike from the window :T We slept well - the bed was extremely comfortable. Our biking gear was mainly dry :rotfl: still a bit damp round the edges :rotfl: DH has gone off to get the first 2 landmarks & left me at the hotel because it is drizzling AGAIN
Will see you all later
P.S. Well Done Cherryfudge :T still decluttering but no time to post :rotfl: Your description of vintageteainmywardrobe actual wardrobe did bring a huge smile to my face

Been AWOL for a while but am back decluttering ahead of decorating the hall, stairs and landing. Discovered OH had been "donated" several him have full of DVDs so we've sorted those along with our own stash. Sadly Music Magpie didn't want most of them, but got 2 boxes to send and should get £30. The rest can go to a charity shop tomorrow.
CDs still to do tomorrow...
Also taken 2 bags of clothes and household stuff to CS today and will attempt a top run tomorrow.MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Just basic recycling today - I also altered a bathroom curtain which was there when we moved in. It was on an extendable pole and was made out of a shower curtain and some blackout lining. We have bought a proper cast iron pole [as the other kept falling down] and then I cut the curtain in half and made it into two 'proper' curtains.
Mrs SD - sounds bit damp to say the least. Hope tomorrow is brighter for you.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
After the initial drizzle, the rest of Saturday was mostly dry (only 2 short showers), quite warm but a bit windy. We even had proper sunshine 🌞 :T:T Lots of rid g along single track roads from the West coast, through the Highlands to the East coast (Invergordon). We saw plenty of wildlife - zillions of sheep, lots of cows, wild goats, Shetland ponies, horses, Highland cattle, deer, black ducks with a glossy deep green plumage, lots of jackdaws & a black weaselUnfortunately we did not see any otters even though DH saw the sign ‘Caution Otters’ nor did we see any red squirrels
Today’s hotel room is quite small & no view but dinner was excellent. Shared a starter - seafood platter which had roll mops, smoked salmon, prawns, mussels, some salad & Marie Rose sauce with warm crusty bread. DH had a chicken, ham & leek creamy filling with a puff pastry lid, carrots, broccoli & green beans & chips - delicious 🤤 & I had pan-fried duck (8 slices :j) in a berries & drambuie gravy with carrots, broccoli & green beans plus a jacket potato - yummy 😋. Couple of beers 🍺 each & off to our room.
Fingers crossed that Sunday’s weather is as good as or better than today 🤞
Well Done - bunty109, TamsinC, Deni debt-free dreamer & choille :T keep up the good work :T
See you all tomorrow

Some great advice on here at the moment.
562 some more old accounts shredded.
Have sorted out books to take to league of Friends but they are still in the house.0 -
21/52 - a broken fork into the bin. I claim this counts due to the ridiculous amount of time I've continued using a broken fork! (and some magazines/papers into recycling which were beginning to claim the coffee table was home)0
