I've decluttered loads of hedge and weeds this weekend but have had to declutter a little by buying a hedge cutter to do the top. I can't wait for it to come tomorrow. Fingers crossed the weather will be dry so I can finish the job.
I'm just continuing with plodding along this weekend but have set myself a mini challenge for the coming week while I'm off and when I'm not entertaining DS. Every second needs to count towards getting rid of unwanted stuff. I wonder how much stuff I can get rid off.
I have started to collect together DS's old tops and t shirts to start making a puff quilt for his bed. It will have to be a Christmas gift as it won't be done for his birthday.
I hope you are all plodding on well. Keep going :T.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

My late Mother used to make puff quilts - they are lovely & really cosy. Great idea to make one out of his clothes.0 -

Saturday was a glorious summer’s day for my cousin’s BBQ. We left our house on time (not late as is usually the case :rotfl: ) & a good job too - when we got to Greenwich there was a notice saying no trains stopping at Greenwich  especially  as there was no indication on the website  Retraced our DLR journey & continued a few stops further on, Jubilee Line to London Bridge & train to our destination. Picked up a couple of bottles of wine & a few beers then a 15 minute walk & wonder of wonders, the 3 of us were the first to arrivebut everyone else turned up within the next 30 minutes. Lots of food, plenty to drink, lots of laughter & chat. 16 of us altogether & it seems everyone had a great time - especially as the weather was so good. We left about 8 p.m., train to London Bridge, Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf & then a Bus home. No decluttering
What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours - are you all singing along :rotfl: - Sunday has been an overcast day with rain showers. DH has built the new frame & we attached netting - now frame is in place protecting our vegetables, bird identification chart is now affixed to shed wall, table top bed has an extra horizontal brace, DH has dug & prepared another area for Bee Bombs. Really pleased that this morning I found a single flower on one of the many freesias we planted :T Also sorted & filed some paperwork
1629 - 1635 Two drinks cans, empty beer can, 2 medium cardboard boxes, newspaper, plastic milk carton - Recycled

Just found this thread - what a joy!
I have been decluttering for around 8 years now and still not finished (are you ever?) but working on it - slowly and surely.
We made life a bit more difficult as bought a house and renovating it whilst living in it. The living room has been being worked on now for over 6 months now and all the 'gubbins' are either sat in the hallway or our bedroom. The fact that we can manage with this is a testament to how much cluttering HAS already been done. Hopefully on the home straight now and once the furniture is back in there the sense of space will be amazing again.
Also the garden was HUGELY over grown and we are decluttering a lot of that too. Going to read back over a few pages and find out how this thread works. Just wanted to say hi.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

Greenwich, my old stomping ground!:T0 -
Hi all, I am back from a lovely hols with my friends to Greece. We had a great time but more importantly I had some rest.
I slept nearly all the way there, in places where I was standing up I did manage to keep my eyes open. I could hardly move due to exhaustion and the results of over doing it the last few weeks.:(
This week I come back refreshed with a new outlook on everything. I have been lucky so far but need to REALLY take care or I may be really unwell.
Part of that will be early nights and doing less. I didn't call myself bitbybit by accident. It was a reminder. So back today. I will sort my suitcase tomorrow and aim to get one bag of clutter out of the house as I am not at work.
I have adjusted my total in my signature to reflect the 10 bags of stuff I cleared the week before I went. :j I thinkl I am going to increase my target to 1oo for the year.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Welcome TamsinC, so glad that you found usit is lovely to have a new person aboard the ‘Decluttering Bandwagon’ :T It sounds like you are thoroughly in charge of your decluttering :T
We are a whole host of people who are decluttering for various reasons. We exchange tips, tales of our successes & our not so successful forays into decluttering. We cheer each other on & offer a virtual shoulder to lean on when the decluttering hasn’t gone well:(. Many of us are decluttering by numbers :rotfl: either 52 or 2019 & last year we had a declutterer who was decluttering by weightI would recommend starting from page 1 & just reading/skimming a few minutes a day :rotfl: We can be quite amusing
So again welcome & I for one am looking forward to learning a bit more about you, as I am the resident nosey c*w :rotfl:

A little bit more about me - on the wrong side of 50, have led a fairly nomadic life style as hubby was forces. That helped a lot with not accumulating overbearing amounts of stuff as moving every 2 years and only one removal van to fill. Though fill it we did and to the rafters. Hubby now taken early retirement and so we have decluttered a lot of stress, and a lot of money - but we manage. Moved to the wilds of Wales and loving it.
Today we decluttered 4 bags stuffed with recyclable plastic to Morrisons, and later this afternoon we shall be decluttering six bags of self levelling cement onto the living room floor - weeeeeeell, it's sort of decluttering.:rotfl:“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex
