  • Pair of slipper I bought for after last op when feet would be fat, now sloppy so am washing them and see if |OK for charity bag. Minced absolutely loads of banana peel to be used on garden and am going to make banana curry later for freezer, will still leave a few for brekkie and shake. I took hangers to a CS and they were pleased to get them, maybe not all would take them but worth a try. Using toilet roll innerds to plant a few more seeds (crop rotation). Found some bamboo skewers from when I used to have BBQs (about 15 yrs ago) so have put by my baby pea plants instead of buying canes.

I work in m and s and we always take hangers from customers who bring them in. And recycle them with ours. X
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.

A mixed bag weather wise - when the sun was shining it was hot, hot, hot but when the clouds came & the wind got up it was rather chilly. The rain came at just the right time - BEFORE I watered the garden :rotfl: I did water in the morning & change the birdies water. Another bits & pieces day. I forgot to say yesterday that I made a rather disappointing focaccia :( Both lots of ‘proving’ saw big rises but when cooked it was more like a flatbread :( Checked the yeast pot & the yeast was ood  Tried again today with ‘in date’ yeast & guess what .... drumroll please .........
It looked like a focaccia, smelt like a focaccia & will, fingers crossed 🤞, taste like a focaccia. It is for my cousin’s BBQ & I will be proud to give it to her, along with a jar of home grown, home pickled olives :D Phoned the dairy & cancelled our milk delivery until 5th June - we are off to Bonny Scotland for a week doing the Round Britain Rally. I moved a lettuce & a tomato plant to their final resting places, bit the bullet & went through my glass jars & got rid of a few. Read my magazine, did the competitions & recycled - all in a day ;) DH had bought some ‘Bee Bombs’ so dug out, weeded & sifted a 1 square metre patch of earth & added the ‘Bee Bombs’. Actually had 5 bees on one plant today :j - 4 more than we usually get :rotfl: Finished off the hm soup & had with the flat focaccia :rotfl: DH also moved the bird feeder stand & seeded the original location. He has now started making a frame for netting to stop the squirrels digging up our first attempts at growing vegetables :rotfl: Dinner was fish fingers, oven chips & garden peas.

1612 - 1625 Two drinks cans, empty beer can, glass bottle, 3 glass jars & metal lids, plastic bottle, metal lid, magazine, leaflets, 2 small cardboard boxes, 100 page booklet - Recycled

Three too big bras and a new pair of sandals added to the bag. The sandals were so uncomfortable I could barely walk in them.
