Monday was dry & warm but overcast again, although the sun did come out& it didn’t actually rain. Today was a tick things off my ‘To Do’ list so: DH & I both wrote letters in French to sort out DSis’s financial affairs - I know, I know she should do it herself
but French officialdom has OUR address & my DSis does bury her head
; I paid my cc bill, transferred some monies to my nephew (early inheritance :rotfl:) (nephew phoned later & we had a nice chat) & checked my account transactions - I do my banking by phone; completed my magazine competition entry form; posted all the letters; small sm shop for today’s dinner; sewed a button on DH’s trousers; finally put away the winter bedding - I need a step ladder to put items in airing cupboard  ; made soup from los - zizzed & seasoned for next couple of days lunches; made dinner - sausages, bacon, mash & baked beans - yummy 🤤
DH also sorted out some financial stuff, filled bird feeders, watered plants, then he & DSis propped up next door’s rose bush (DH did have permission :rotfl:) & they swept up the peanut shells :T
1529 - 1540 Two drinks cans, empty beer can, 5 lots of cardboard packaging, newspaper, glass jar & metal lid, plastic bottle & lid, milk carton - Recycled
1541 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
1542 Old torn tea towel cut up & put in wormery (I HAD to cut it up otherwise I might have been tempted to sew it up & continue using it :rotfl:)
Well Done on the paperwork decluttering :T A peaceful sanctuary - sounds wonderfulDeni, I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for admitting to being a hoarder, rather than saying you have hoarding tendencies :rotfl:
You have been busy parsniphead - Well Done :T You are also being awarded a Gold Star ⭐️ - still feeling overwhelmed but continuing with the decluttering - you have my admiration as I know how easy it can be to just hide away & hope someone will wave a wand & the clutter is gone :rotfl:
Well Done choille :T as you can see from above I had the same problem with a tea towel :rotfl:
Well Done whmf00001 :T - can I send my DH round to yours - he does love a curry :rotfl: (apart from the banana curry - he cannot abide the smell let alone the taste) You have cooked up a storm :T
Shame about the coat hangers never too oldbut Well Done on sorting your wardrobe :T
Well Done Happy Kitties on both the decluttering & the neutral items out :T
Well Done Barny1979 :T
See you all tomorrow

Feeling optomistic today. DGS said he will come and help with some heavy stuff to get garden area ready to plant my getting bigger seedlings some time this week so that will de-clutter windowsills in front room and shower-room. Because that made me feel better I got box from front room and sorted out load of papers to shred (done) and in bag for bin, and kept just s few important ones to put in filing cabinet, do not think they need to go in there as they are 2007 ish and I am sure I have more recent but never the less. All the old HMRC and payslips have now gone - again around 2007/8/9 so no need to retain. Popping out soon to post new home card to dear friend, have put all yesterdays cooking into freezers and made space in freezers for delivery tomorrow of chicken breasts and mince. Still got to phot Mum's china etc for Ebay but have opened up table in front room to lay them all out (tip I picked up on here) so I can do them quickly. Onward and upward.0

Woohoo finally got round to recycling a small box of old batteries, I'm not going to count each one, just add them as a 5. And then also recycled a glut of old plastic bags :j

Managed to get those empty jars to the eco shop after doing some gardening which I'm also counting as decluttering as several hanging baskets have now been filled with plants that were hanging around. the maths is complicated: four hanging baskets taken to pieces and the still-alive plants recycled in new configurations, and nine plants planted but five from one of the containers are sitting in a bucket waiting for me to put them into open soil.
I think that makes thirteen minus five, so eight garden items and six glass jars.Nothing is ever simple.
Fourteen items today: new grand total 679.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Tuesday has been a gloriously sunny & warm day - occasionally hotDSis did her washing & line dried everything
Another day of doing useful small jobs outside, so :-
DH & I emptied & moved one of our garden boxes ready to jet wash when there is no washing hanging out :rotfl: ; laid the last of the Tru pave + 3 layers of bricks then stacked bags of compost, sand, ground cover & top soil on top; used the last of the decorative gravel round the Rose & rhubarb plants; DH used his jack to raise the table top bed to put bricks under each leg - so the wooden legs don’t rot; I painted 2 lengths of timber & DH put up inside the shed ready for hooks for garden tools; DH also cut off overhanging branches from next door’s tree & shredded them; bacon sarnies for lunch & hm fish, chips & peas for dinner.

I just collected up another bag of clothes that don't fit for the charity shop.
3 black dresses, too big for me now.
A bag that I bought because I thought it was quite cool, but have decided that it makes me look like I'm trying to look younger. People do sometimes think I'm younger than 43 but I don't want to look as if I'm trying too hard.:rotfl:
A baseball cap, just because it is unflattering and why would I ever wear such a thing? No idea why I even bought it. I think it was when it was hot weather in the summer.
One red dress that is too short on me now as it must have shrunk in the tumble dryer. It just about covers my bum now.:D0 -
Decluttered some books and pair of shoes that were too big, and box to CS
Also 4lb at SW last nightRead my diaryHere0 -
Yesterday i had a quick sort out of cuddlies and beanie babies I collected years ago as one of the charities I support put out an appeal ready for fundraising events.
Managed to get cuddlies washed and dried in the warm weather yesterday and 2 parcels including some neutral items were sent to them today.
I have more cuddlies to send which is doing me a favour as I've nearly freed up a storage box which instead of buying one for DD I can use the freed up one instead plus the beanie babies/cuddlies instead of being stuck in storage can be enjoyed by kids while raising vital funds for charity.
So totals updated are
*196-204 cuddly toys sent to charity
*205-206 present spares x2 sent to charity
Plus
*207 big bag of plastics recycled at Tesc@
*208 massive amount of cardboard put out for recycling (the recycling men must wonder where
all my cardboard come from)
*208 broken fluffy toy pen-binned
*209-210 birthday presents x 2 left the house yesterday
*92-94 sets x2 of neutral items sent to charity.not going to break them down individual, sets pose more of a challenge to hit targetsDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
