Hello all
Thanks for the info on the " whatchamacallit ". It could be a pickled onion thingy or an olive/cherry de-stoner, but as I have never used it for any of those things because I dislike all three, it's still a mystery as to how it came to be in my possession :rotfl:. Anyway if things can teleport I'm missing a lattice pastry roller/cutter, I'm sure I'd had one of those, but I can't find it anywhere . So......... if you find it in your drawers ( ooooh er ! ) please send it back :rotfl:
GreenQueen I found a garlic press toobut DH does use it and also a bottle opener that his late sister bought him which burps on use, both of which I had to put back
. ( for now
)
Now back to the decluttering.....
DH fitted a new mover onto our caravan yesterday, so today I have been hoovering up the detritus, clearing up all the packaging/cardboard that was left and putting it in the correct recycling bag/box.
Happy decluttering all.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Took a small bag of bits to the charity shop yesterday and did end up buying a few bits but are bits I need (some clothes as the weight has crept on, new chandelier lamp shade - was only £3 and looks so pretty, a few garden bits).
C xx
Thanks chocolatelover. I'm be glad when tomorrow has come and gone.
Yesterday was fantastic. I did so much cleaning and decluttering. Washing, puting stuff away, cleaning carpet stains, pjpes and skirting in the bathroom, endless recycling and bins emptied. I even cleaned the car inside and out. Being back at work has made me more organised and careful with my time.
One issue I have is with dust. When I wipe surfaces I get lumps of soggy dust. I thinks it's finally sunk in I have to vacuum and dust regularly. It will be easier with less stuff to move. I think I may make myself a housework organiser/chart. If only vacuuming was enjoyable.;) It's my pet hate.:mad:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Oh yes, Nannywindow, as well as the R2D2 wine stopper, we also have a Millenium Falcon magnetic bottle opener attached to the fridge, and a Darth Vader lego torch somewhere - my DH's Star Wars habit, I get the feeling that none of those will be decluttered in the short term!2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/20210

Good luck tomorrow Parsniphead. So pleased the decluttering and cleaning is going well. I hate vacuuming and ended up getting a robot to do it for me...0

I love the idea of a robot but it would never get around the clutter.:A1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I’ve been a lot tidier since I got it. Nothing lives on the floor that doesn’t have to. And it goes under wardrobes and chests of drawers.0 -
1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
The day started off bright, sunny & warm :j but then the rain came fortunately all tasks were completed in the dry :T
DH did his Tip run & filled up with petrol for our jaunt to St Omer tomorrow. I caught the bus rather than walking by the docks as the 2 CS bags were quite heavy. CS was closedbut the clothing CS was open :T Although the donations were not clothing related, the young lady in charge picked out the laundry basket & a few of the ornaments. Some of the baby/toddler clothing I dropped off on Monday had already been sold :j And it was really nice to see the motorcycle jacket I donated hanging on the wall
She had already had some interest but had no idea what to charge. I advised the cost when bought 20+ years ago & suggested a starting price. We had a really nice chat. Then off to sm for a top up shop & finally to P.O. - walked back through the park so F*tb*t happy
DH put up 2 lights in the under stairs cupboard of joy & we have now put everything away neatly - coats, spare helmets & gloves, shoes & also the vacuum cleaner, V*x & steam cleaner. I keep opening the door, switching on the lights & admiring my DH’s handiwork :rotfl: :rotfl: DH also went to Canary Wharf to bank some cheques & came back with some Vietnamese sandwiches  but too spicy for DSis
Dinner was hm fish pie & green beans - delicioso
Large portion lo & boxed for freezer :j
1376 - 1379 Two drinks cans, empty beer can, glass jar & metal lid - Recycled
1380 Plastic takeaway box - Binned
Excellent work Wanna Bee Free - it is so gratifying to get large items out of the house
Good luck with the china sales whmf00001
GreenQueen, that did make me smile - a knife :rotfl:
Keep up the good work Rootle :T
Nannywindow, Sorry no pastry cutter herebut thank you to whoever teleported our birth & marriage certificates back :rotfl: Well Done on disposing of packaging appropriately & quickly before it had a chance to hide
Parsniphead, it made me tired just reading about all the work you did to make your home a more pleasant place to be in :rotfl: That amount of work earns you a Gold Star ⭐️ Hope the op goes well.
GreenQueen, if you manage to find items before DH I am sure that teleportation to a distant CS can be activated :rotfl:
Well Done Barny1979 :T
greenbee, I hope your robot has a name :rotfl:
No decluttering now until Monday just lots of beer & good French food in pleasant company
