    Hi Mrs SD and all

A little bit of progress to report

2 bags have gone to recyling and I am sorting a bedroom out today for a few hours anyways :)

GreenQueen I think that's what it is. I don't even know where it came from. It's a 2 pronged fork and when you push the handle up, the middle goes in between the prongs IYSWIM.

Where do these random items come from? We seem to have several wine bottle stoppers in various shapes, including R2D2!

I DID google, and came up with an olive and cherry de-stoner - what you are describing sort of sounds like the pictures I found. I suppose that makes sense as they are both about the same size and both have stones. Still can't think when I would use one, though.

I did think that maybe either I had made it up or invented something new . Thanks GreenQueen for letting me know I hadn't gone completely ga- ga :rotfl:. ( well not yet anyway ! ) Still have no idea where it came from though.

    1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

The rain held off long enough for my clothes to dry :j now folded & put away.
Enjoyed my bath but never made it to the CS :o so that is a task for tomorrow with a small shop at the sm. Bonus really, as I added a couple more items - compliments of the lady who left the rented house next door :rotfl: The bin men didn’t take the stuff which didn’t fit in Wheelie bin so DH is taking most of it to the Tip tomorrow. However to make it fit in the motorbike we had to rearrange the bags (yes I will be adding the items to my numbers as the bags were making the front of the house look untidy :rotfl:) The bike is loaded with our stuff & the ex-neighbour’s stuff.
DH has also finished putting up the shelves in the under stairs cupboard with beading at the sides :rotfl: & has put up the coat rail. Tomorrow he will put in a light - will stick on wall - then we can start refilling it - neatly. It is now designated as the ‘Cupboard of Joy’ :rotfl: DH also made dinner - pasta in cheese sauce - absolutely delicioso :drool:

1361 - 1363 Document holder, collapsible laundry basket, heart shaped palm sized lavender bag - CS
1364 - 1369 Large filled note book, bag of recycling from DH, empty beer can, plastic bottle, drinks can, magazine - Recycled
1370 - 1371 Loft board offcuts, coffee tin filled with kitchen detritus - Binned
1372 - 1375 Large bag of clothes, duvet, 2 broken plastic crates - Tip

chocolatelover93, you are excused ;) it is not clutter if it is going to be used or worn rather than just stored :rotfl: & you did donate :T

    Well Done sweetpea26 & Barny1979 :T

GreenQueen, nannywindow - I have a theory ;) Our ‘drawers of doom’ communicate with each other :rotfl: someone somewhere is missing their olive de-stoner :rotfl: & they have some item that you thought you had but cannot find :rotfl: Teleportation :rotfl: & the ‘drawers of doom’ laugh their bottoms off :rotfl:

On that note, I will love you & leave you :D

See you tomorrow my fellow declutterers :D

Wow, teleporting drawers of doom and mystery kitchen gadgets, this thread is so enjoyable to read - thanks everyone!

I am popping in to report a huge 3 bootfulls to the tip last Sunday. Our broken dining table, wooden pallet, garden rubbish and assorted packaging in huge quantities. Very satisfying.

The other set of rollerblades with knee pads, elbow pads and carrying pack out to CS. OH told me they'd gone so I got rid of mine. He was most sheepish when they surfaced this weekend.

As we were recovering from the last tip run we remembered the rarely used extension leaf in the wardrobe. I remembered it in the morning but in all the heavy lifting forgot it again. I see another tip run this weekend - we sure know how to live!

    Happy decluttering everyone. xx

I THINK this could be a pickled onion stabber, possibly got a fancy name but my Mum had one, you put in jar to stab onion, get it out and then press the middle prong to release it. Often wonder what happened to Mum's as it was so useful.
Started to look at Mum's chine and glassware type stuff for Eb.. again, saw link on MSE for an app (they are for anything arn't they?) where you take photo of item and it searches Eb.. for similar items. Very good for when you cannot be sure what the pattern is etc. Renewed vigour ready to list for sale. Good luck everyone and thanks MrsSD for encouragement.

Nannywindow, I think it's a pickled onion fork, I knew someone who had one years ago - that's the kind of social circle I moved in!!!!!:rotfl:

Oh, yes, my granny used to have a pickled onion stabber. I can see a bit more use for that than an olive de-stoner, but not much!

It always makes me laugh when I see avocado peelers, egg slicers, etc - I have all of those, they are called a knife! I always think that about garlic crushers as well, although I have friends who swear by them. They always seem a lot of faff and washing up.
