11/52 - a hall drawer cleared. This was so full you couldn't actually open it! A mound of papers binned or recycled. Now the drawer opens freely. I originally intended to clear the 2 hall drawers but lost energy and motivation after the trauma of the first one so will need to return. One is better than none.

I also started on the CDs and came across a loose DVD for a box set I've already given to a CS! Not sure how that happened as I always check or so I thought. I feel terrible for the poor person who discovers their box set has a disc missing. ☹

End of year accounts being done here, most of my receipts are kept in a folder, but some go astray....whilst checking around I found a pile of receipts from 2013/14  Some are petrol but that was before I started the business, so not sure what they were doing still hanging around!

Only counting them as one though, although on seeing how chocolatebum worked it out - I need to eradicate 6.9 items per day to reach the target!!

savvy - if you get your ex's stuff cleared we'll give you credit for the next 10 years! Seriously, if you don't feel you can skip it, then go and dump it round at his for him to sort out.

My recycling bin is full, and the cardboard boxes that my waterbutts were delivered in has gone out with it.

Welcome back Mrs SD, missed you.

I have just come home to a big mess. We are having a woodburner fitted and where the flue was going up through the upstairs isn''t right, so space is needed. DH has just decluttered half of the spare room junk to all around the house, removed a wardrobe and smashed up a set of draws.:(

On the plus side Son No 2 is going to have to take all his stuff or DH has said he will put it in the bin. This will be serious decluttering and I will have my craft wardrobe back :T:j:T

So out today; one set of drwerw although some of them will be taken to the allotment and used as raised beds.

LMAO 10 years credit hey?? AWESOME! I actually would dump it at his, but I don't know where he lives now. Some of it I could probably dump at his sisters as it's some of her dead fathers things too. But she won't take it all, and it needs sorting out first.

The rest is being constantly rained on at the moment - can not believe as soon as I put it out, it's rained all week!

Oh well, if you don't know where he lives, tell his sister that if she wants any of her dad's stuff she can either a. let you know where he lives so you can dump it there or b. let you dump it at hers so she can sort it. Otherwise it will be going into a skip at the end of April (and no, she can't come to yours to sort through it, that will just make more mess). Just copy and paste this into a message :) Don't bother putting any effort into it! Research skip sizes and prices.

It has been a miserable day today :( wet, windy, cold but with a little sunshine - good job we planted the bulbs yesterday :) Forgot to say DSis & I went to sm yesterday & DSis paid - Huge Grin ! & she treated me to a new serving spoon.
DH has been a busy bee today :) The new work bench frame is completed including the supports for a shelf. DH has some spare loft boards in the attic & these will be used to make the shelf & a base for the work surface. He also repaired a Knick-knack which will go to the CS when it is finished. I on the other hand read a magazine, completed a couple of competition entry forms, knocked up a soup with odds & ends from the fridge, freezer & veg rack plus los from the mash, mixed veg & pork steaks we had for dinner last night. Seasoned with harissa paste, salt & pepper + red lentils added. I had a mug for lunch & DH & I had hm soup with hm croutons for dinner, I cooked burgers & chips for DSis.

Only a few items decluttered today :(

    878 Magazine - Recycled
879 - 881 Three broken hand tools in metals tool box - Tip
882 Serving spoon - repaired by DH (new one bought yesterday - spoon that is not DH :rotfl:) - CS bag

    Hello,

    Happy to see you MrsSD

A frayed knot, yes, I think it can be a job. It would be nice but I have to wait for that.

    Good morning all.
I haven't posted for a while after a burst of activity at the beginning of the year, but I'm still tidying and decluttering as I go.

I've got a bag for the CS, will take it today,

    Happy Friday folks
