savvy - I was going to suggest that you told your ex his stuff was going on the patio, but then why should you have to look at his mess. My suggestion is that you give him a deadline by when he has to have taken it and after that you will

    a. get a skip/house clearance firm and get it all removed
    b. get a van and take it round to his and dump it in his garden

    a. is less hassle, but b. might be more satisfying. At least get a price for both of them so you can consider them properly.
Aye, well he's had just under 3 years to get it sorted, he's said he'll come round 4 different times since October and failed to turn up......even when I told him I was having my Government inspection for my new licence - and I need the room asap to fit my new project in, so I think I've been fair and patient enough. Luckily it is a second patio I have at the end of the garden by the sheds lol. He also has a ton of stuff he's stored in my old car on the drive, looks like a right scrap yard round here with it all. It was only meant to be in there one night, that was like 4 years ago now

Hello everyone - I am back! Unfortunately my ip was banned - same ‘technical difficulty’ as at the end of February :( I have been too afraid to try to log in - as the 2nd time I was unbanned my log in caused me to be banned again :(
So my DH has advised me to set some new posting rules for myself!

    1. Shorter posts :(
    2. FEWER emojis
    3. Clear down my browser history every couple of days
    4. Do NOT multiple post
Oh wow, that's not going to be fun for you :(:(:(

Last night I walked into the kitchen to do something and for no reason started to clear the work surface from hell. It wasn't planned and I finished it this morning. My goodness it looks good and feels good.

Well done, that's really grabbing the moment and making it work for you! If you're like me, it's a case of making the most of the inspiration and energy when it strikes.

Belated Birthday Greetings & healing vibes to those who have need.

chocolatelover93, yes the Round Britain Rally is on motorbikes & DH is in his 19th year of participating!

DSis was back late Friday & was ecstatic when I dished up sausages, mash, fried onions & peas. My DSisil is a vegetarian & only occasionally cooks meat :( We washed & line dried all her clothes on Saturday & Sunday. I haven’t done any real decluttering but I have kept up with the day to day housework & not allowed any clutter in! DH finished painting the garage floor & he has started building a new work bench - I did my D*bbie McG*e impression :D We also planted out our ‘Purple Garden’ bulbs today when the sun made an appearance :)

    I have decluttered

840 - 854 Cardboard packaging, empty wine bottle, uu plastic bottle, bag of recycling from DH, 3 glass jars, 3 metal lids, 1”paperwork, magazine, glass bottle, 2 ‘empty’ beer cans :) - Recycled
855 - 858 Oddments of a silk vest that I cut up for polishing cloths, glass jar that I couldn’t empty, 2 plastic takeaway boxes - Binned
859 - 877 Metal hanging basket, embroidery ring, 2 cushion pads 18” x 18”, 2 silk cushion covers (unwanted gift 6 years ago!), 3 lengths of curtain hook binding, booklet of embroidery iron on transfers, 2 silk blouses, 2 wire baskets, 5 brand new T-shirts from DSis (too small) - CS bag

Little ‘wins’ keep us all going and help us to feel in control of our ‘space’ - so more decluttering mojo to all of us :D

It is VERY HARD not using lots of emojis :(

Evening all, me and my daughter didn't go car booting last week to sell our clutter. Hopefully we will make it this Sunday. Looked to discover my decluttering mojo tonight so I had half an hour in the attic filling up a refuse bag containing fabric & clothes and throwing out paper and cardboard. Feeling a bit more motivated tonight, will have another go at decluttering some more of the attic on Saturday afternoon and potentially car booting this Sunday. There I've said it :-)
  • well after my absence, i worked out that i need to declutter at least 8 items a day to get back on track to make my 2019 items for this year.

tomorrow is my new start date
