  • Many thanks for comforting thoughts and no-one was hurt in any way thank heavens. The Ins co are thinking write off but not seen them yet so have contacted local garage to see if they think so or how much would repairs be. A waiting game. I do not have transport, although car is capable but that does not mean it would be legal (what do I know) but freezers and cupboards full, all doc appointments are up to date, dd visits so can get milk etc as and when, neighbours came and checked on me so generally I SHOULD get on with de-cluttering to bin. Once again thanks for your comfort.
  • been a while since i have checked in due to a hectic life, i have continued to declutter albeit very slowly but i am back in action now that university semester is almost over and ready to get stuck in particularly over the spring holiday when i hope to blitz my house

Definitely not being like a postage stamp. :o Every task seems to be dependant on another task.

Yesterday I bought four celery hearts (yellow sticker 24p!) and the outer sticks need to be prepped for the freezer, as well as the carrots bought last week. But the freezer needs relocating and defrosting.

To relocate the freezer I also need to relocate the sofa, a marble-based floor lamp, AND take a large electric heater with brackets off the wall. Which means temporarily moving a huge rug, footstool, side table, another lamp, and sundry clutter.

Shifting so much meant disturbing loads of dust and fur ... Emptied the small bin on my cordless vacuum three times, before having to charge the battery.

I did not get up until midday, but by 4pm I was so exhausted I could hardly hold my head up or keep my eyes open! :( Reclaimed the heated overblanket from my little cat and we spent a couple of hours horizontal on the sofa ...

... until the defrosting freezer started a mini flood.

Abandoned tackling the heater. Furniture is all over the place. Kitchen is unusable. Freezer is still defrosting. Laundry pile has doubled. Cat is mardy because she hates change. :rotfl:

Posted one item yesterday - slowing up somewhat.

I have a few items to wrap & post today.
  • Sorry I went full on MIA again. I've been tracking things on notepad on my laptop as I kept shutting the laptop down without posting >.< so these are the saved ones from the last few weeks...

Also giving myself a pat on the back for not giving into temptation, I upgraded my phone and got a free google home mini... thing... rather than opening it up and having a play I've put it straight on ebay!

186 - decanted the nearly empty shampoo into the half full one and threw the bottle, I don't know how I always end up with 2 on the go!
187 - stamps cut out for friend and envelopes in burning box
    188 - holey leggings - binned!
    189 - bra -binned
190 - money box bin (I hate those ones you have to smash!)
191 - money box charity shop
192 - leftover piercing aftercare lotion - bin
193 - chocolate elf - bin - supposed to be on a diet AND I don't like shaped chocolate...
194 - Google home thing -ebay
195 - Box and bubble wrap from stash for postage
196 - fabric samples - passed on to the guides
197 - wrong size craft knife handle - passed on
198 - lipbalm I had an allegic reaction to - bin
199 - nail varnish - given to friend

200! - random stuff I'd dumped out of my handbag sorted

    201 - shoes bin
    202 - craft supplies - sold
203 - 2 paper shop orders went out in packaging from the stash - not counting the orders but am counting using some of the saved packaging!
    204 - gift bag recycled

Now I'm going to finish my cup of tea and get started! I need to have my room tidy and organised by the 3rd of May so I have 1 month! I've just taken some photos and it's shocking, running 3 businesses from a bedroom is a storage nightmare :( and while the piles of stuff are needed, and are "sorted" they look horrendous!! I'm pretty much in full on hoarder stage right now it's quite depressing actually when I stop and think. So I try to just block it out, but I really do need to tackle it.

I usually have 2 maybe 3 days a week at home so if you don't see a post from me on a Wednesday and Thursday someone shout at me!!
anything's possible if you've got enough nerve

    Hello all
Just checking in to ask if MrsSD is ok as I haven't seen her posting for a few days. I do hope everything is alright and you are just busy or on holiday :A
I seem to have decluttered my mojo as I've only binned 2 x 7 day pill organisers :(. The green waste bins have been emptied this morning and there is more greenery waiting to go in the bins, but the weather is too awful today to do anything outdoors, grey skies, rain, hail and snow showers . I thought the weather was starting to be lovely and spring-like, shows how wrong I was !
I have been food shopping this morning and I have unnecessarily recluttered my freezers and store cupboards. I have enough food to feed an army for a month or two. This type of hoarding must be addressed asap and I am angry with myself for starting again . Please feel free to give me a good kick up the derriere !

    Take care all
    nan xx

Chris Evans has been talking about Marie Kondo all week and thanks to him hubby is now on board too. Hubby even had the cheek to ask why we have not done this before.

I directed him to his underwear all rolled and stored in a vertical fashion, then to his T-shirt drawer, all folded and vertical in colour order - need I say more....
    LOVE this :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T

UGHHHH I get days like that all the time :(:( I just try to chip away where I can in the end.

Talking of which........I have come up with an idea for a new project which means I need to recalim my shed back from the ex's belongings and haphazard storage techniques!!!:mad::mad: We've just had a lovely sunny weekend, so I got in the shed and started evicting his carp!!! Took me all afternoon to make a decent amount of floor space. I couldn't get all of it out as some is meant to be cherished items :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:But the rest went out on the patio and under a tarp - today it has rained on it all :rotfl:Oh dear, he's only had almost 3 years to sort this lot out himself!!!!

In the process I managed to declutter some of my family's stuff:
1 dead pot plant - fel so bad that a customer bought me it and I killed it!!
1 bag of postcrete gone solid!
2 long bits of bowed skirting board
    1 tin of dried paint
1 non working hand held hoover
    1 giant plastic bottle
    4 bits of polystyrene packing
1 charity bag full of jiffy bags for Ebay selling that never happens!
    4 large cardboard boxes

    140/2019

Guess I could also add the ex's items once they actually leave the premises!!:think:
