A Frayed Knot I sold quite a lot on eBay last year but it seems to have slowed down so I am now listing on both eBay and vinted. The only tips I can give is use lots of clear photos and don't expect too much I am sometimes shocked at the offers some people make!

At the weekend, managed to hand over some paperwork to someone who has taken over my volunteer position in an organisation. The decluttering number doesn't reflect the amount of sorting time and the relief of moving them on! I still have the shredding to complete, that should be a couple of bags (I think) once it's done.

I really need to get my act together and move the number up - we're coming up to the end of a quarter of the year, and I'm not a quarter of the way through 2019 items :(

    186-189 - 3 folders of paper + storage box
190-192 - 3 unmentionable bowls of leftovers from the fridge:eek:
    2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/2021

    Happy birthday A Frayed Knot.

Mrs Salad Dodger. I dont know how you get all the cheerleading done.it takes me forever to type a short message

I've been to the charity shop this morning and got rid of a boot full of stuff. It was all DS's stuff and as you know I'm emotionally attached to everything of his. I'm so proud I could do this as ive struggled and ended up with 7 years of his stuff piling up. I still have loads to go though but it should get easier.

I've got treatment this Afternoon so no decluttering apart from the two lots of chocolate I'm taking with me.:p:D

Have a fab day all. X

Hello again! I've been away from the boards but I have been carrying on the decluttering in my absence. Bags of books have continued to wend their way to the charity shop and broken things aplenty are hitting the bin. Some days I still feel overwhelmed but it's getting easier to be ruthless and decide I don't need something in my life any more every time I do it.

Today's win is that I spotted someone on a FB group asking for old game consoles for a youth club and I offered one we've had in a box in the cellar for 5 years. They're coming to pick it up today - hooray!

:rotfl: love it, hope you enjoyed the champers :T
Oh I certainly did, it just tasted sweeter somehow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He was not impressed when I told him, but it was SUCH a good feeling that I still have the empty bottle in my trophy cabinet :beer: And happy birthday to you :bdaycake:
savvy, pleased you have accepted 100 as your starting point :T Oh how I laughed ‘erratic attic’ :rotfl: I absolutely love that :D savvy, I fully agree with daisy - time limit then disposal :rotfl: Actually having read your next post savvy, all in a bin bag - give the ex until the end of March to collect & if not straight to the Tip :rotfl: You are brilliant savvy - I laughed so much at the car tale that I almost fell off the sofa - for that you get a Gold Star ⭐️ :rotfl:
Haha well thank you very much ;) and great cheerleading, you should have a gold star for that effort :T

It truly is erratic up there, if I had my way (and the time/money) everything would be sorted into the right plastic boxes, labelled up and stored logically!! :o But my sons/previous two exes took over when my knees got bad, then I had the car accident.....and well now it's a flaming mess, just like the two sheds I had sorted out previously! :(:(:(

So things are hectic here again, my progress is slooooow :o Now the bathroom is renovated, I found a towel in the drawer that totally doesn't go and cascaded it down to a dog towel :rotfl:
A big parcel arrived today and instead of storing the box thinking I will need that..it went straight out into recycling bin :j So that's 2 today, and I think I have found somebody to have the last of the wedding that never was glass jars :D

Oooo I just remembered a couple of other things that went earlier in the year!!!!

Two of those mahoosive traffic cones, and some flaming traffic lights!!! Perils of drunken rampaging sons wearing cones on their way home and an overly helpful son that suggested he would house the traffic lights for his friend whose parents were downsizing!!!:eek: Why MY house had to filled up is anyone's guess. I've kept the smaller 'no parking' cone as it keeps the small shed door closed lol - and nobody seems to know where that one came from!!

This is what I'm up against, I also have a massive scaffold plank dumped in the garden from the builders that built a house at the end of it. They had laid it across my shed roof, trspassed and erected a scaffold pole in front of the shed door so I couldn't open it, and broke my fence panel doing it all!!! Police were not interested in the slightest!

They won't be, it's a civil matter, but you could have gone through your insurance to claim on the neighbours insurance for repairs....
