  • Hi all, just a tiny amount of decluttering Chez Deni - looking for decongestant I found some OOD rescue remedies that went down the sink and the bottles recycled; took some OOD meds to the pharmacy - they took them without question :)
Well done everyone on your good efforts - very inspiring!

Haha, funnily enough my life was similar back in the 90's, youngests father ran off to Antigua with the secretary to think about what he wanted in life, and left me and the kids with just utility bill money and nothing else, so no money for food - had to do car boot sales (which I now hate with a passion) and collect aluminium cans for the money to get us through the 3 months he was gone!

He asked me to sell his pride and joy BMW, so I said okay as I was able to use it whilst doing so. Couldn't afford petrol so I coasted it about a LOT, once I put in £2 of petrol and the attendent laughed and said 'that won't get you off the forecourt'.......I retorted I was just topping it up for a friend!!! So anyway I had to give a report of how many were interested in it....but I kept being awkward about being in, then it got to the point I had to have somebody look at it........so I just kept putting them off it so I could have it longer to play in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Then he came and took it to sell himself :(:( bit harsh since he had cheated on me! But I did enjoy celebrating a rowing win with my toyboy and ex's expensive bottle of champagne he was priding himself on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: love it, hope you enjoyed the champers :T

Recycled shower gel bottle, lotion bottle, envelopes from today's post and receipts from purse.

Binned five eyeshadows 10+ years old. All other make-up is less than 15 months old.

Reused peas bag from freezer, put left over beef brisket into it giving a piece of plastic a second life before it goes into the bin : )

I am back - like the proverbial bad penny :rotfl:

We packed Saturday morning & left about 3:00 p.m. (after DH had put the 2nd coat of blue paint on another section of the garage floor :rotfl:) Uneventful trip to Bedford & it stayed dry :D Nice room in a Premi*r Inn, with a view of the river even with scaffolding in the way :rotfl: Showered & changed & off to pub by 6:45 p.m. - lots of chat, several beers & a photo opportunity that reinforced Mr Salad Dodger’s credentials :rotfl: He unwittingly sat in front of a sign that said
“ALCOHOL BECAUSE NO GREAT STORY BEGAN WITH SOMEONE EATING SALAD” :rotfl::rotfl:
Then about 30 of us trooped off to the Italian restaurant for birthday boy’s 60th celebration dinner :T Good food, good company & of course more  :rotfl: Left about 11:30 p.m. & retired to another pub (live music but way too loud :p) :rotfl: More alcohol for everyone except me :D I resorted to tap water with ice :rotfl: much to everyone’s disgust & I resisted all blandishments to have a small one :rotfl: Got back to the hotel about 1:30 a.m.
A lot of sorry looking people at breakfast on Sunday morning - I did have a quiet chuckle :D

Most people left immediately after breakfast, but DH & I took our time & checked out at the last possible moment :money:
We then set off to get get photographs of old landmarks from previous years’ Round Britain Rallies. Weather stayed dry & reasonably warm :T DH had planned for 7 but we got 8 :D because I wanted coffee & cake :rotfl: The extra landmark was in a country park & there were lots of shops, garden centre & a great Tea Room :T Home made cakes - quite expensive BUT they were not stingy on the size of slice :D So we had plenty for today :rotfl:
We arrived at our pub hotel - The Stag in Stow on Wold at about 6:30 p.m. & bumped into another biker friend :T A very pleasant evening - EXCELLENT food (DH had venison haunch & I had a beef stew with mash), lots of laughter & chat & copious amounts of beer consumed :rotfl: Our Room was a real trek up & down stairs & along two corridors  Stow on Wold is wonderful so we plan to have another visit for a couple of nights :D Up & at breakfast by 9:15 a.m. & after goodbyes & packing the bike we were on the road by 11:00 a.m. Good ride home & indoors by 1:00 p.m. Kettle on - cuppa with the lo cake :T then I unpacked, put 1st load of washing on whilst DH filled the bird feeders & watered the plants. DH has concrete sealed the last big section of the garage floor ready for painting tomorrow. Everything is now washed & is out on the whirligig - it will stay there overnight as it is supposed to be dry until Saturday :D :rotfl: Everything else is put away.
Have had a wonderful weekend & the only thing decluttered was shedloads of money :rotfl:

    This afternoon I have decluttered

    821 - 823 Magazine, plastic bottle & leaflets - Recycled

Now to catch up on my cheerleading :D

Well Done bunty109 :T Glad you had a nice weekend :D - shame about the cold :( Decluttering & decorating plus parental approval :rotfl: - Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way :D

:naughty::naughty: ScarletRibbons :naughty: You have decorated a room - that is not only decluttering paint supplies but you have also decluttered a ‘dingy room’ into a bright smile giving room :T :rotfl: with a bit of extra decluttering from the dresser :T

bit by bit, hope the funeral went as well as these things can & you should take as much time as needed - paperwork can wait :D Well Done on sorting DS2’s paperwork :T Hopefully now that you have sorted it, he will deal with it ;) Hope you enjoyed your bonfire :D

    Well Done short_bird :T Decluttering & earning pennies :T + more decluttering :T

phoebe1989SEB, Well Done on the decorating :T Decorating is definitely a form of decluttering ;) you are decluttering sad rooms into happy rooms :rotfl: Well Done on physical decluttering :T
I had to look up Alessi bowls - beautiful :D I would definitely sell not donate :rotfl:

savvy, pleased you have accepted 100 as your starting point :T Oh how I laughed ‘erratic attic’ :rotfl: I absolutely love that :D savvy, I fully agree with daisy - time limit then disposal :rotfl: Actually having read your next post savvy, all in a bin bag - give the ex until the end of March to collect & if not straight to the Tip :rotfl: You are brilliant savvy - I laughed so much at the car tale that I almost fell off the sofa - for that you get a Gold Star ⭐️ :rotfl:

Well Done on keeping stuff moving out, Barny1979 :T

Gold Star ⭐️ greenbee. Well Done on reclaiming rooms, turning clutter into useful items & sorting & putting away :T. Shame about the CS being closed but at least it is all set to go :D

Well Done Onebrokelady :T Decorating & decluttering - where do you get the energy ;)

Well Done Gem-gem :T plenty of decluttering :T Recluttering jars for homemade jam - I approve ;) What flavours- you know how nosey I am :rotfl: Am I correct in thinking jams are blueberry, pear & apple ;). & even more decluttering :T An extra Well Done Gem-gem :T for giving a plastic bag a 2nd life :T

Hi Poppy_Golightly :hello: I used to watch Hoarders, but I got put off by the dirt & the fact that usually it is actual rubbish that is being hoarded _pale__pale_ I know that hoarding is a disease, but the programmes always seem to ‘bully’ the hoarder & it makes for uncomfortable viewing. Now I just re-read theprevious years decluttering threads & I am inspired :D

chupachups4 - are the clothing piles going down? They must be :D Well Done on keeping the clothes rolling out & the pennies rolling in :T A long road but I am absolutely positive that you will succeed :D

whmf00001, yippee hoarding can be useful :rotfl: I never understand why updates end up losing favourite apps

Getting worried that this won’t post so I am sending now & will resume cheerleading in a 2nd post :rotfl:
