Up and running already, just sold my daughter's balance bike for a good price through a local FB buy & sell group. 1st time I have ever posted anything for sale through FB! Need to categorise the clutter into piles (charity, saleable and bin). I think that is the first step here.

My target this year is a 1000 items. Haven't started as yet but have targeted items that will go (without involving the turkey:) )

I decluttered a fleece bedding set that's very used, first it will be animal bedding and then thrown after a few days.

I just went through my daily diary and tore out the pages from the start so it was to today's date. It was an academic one from last year so it was annoying me that I had to keep looking for the right page. A little thing, but helpful.:D I am using the blank pages as scrap paper.

My kitchen looks and feels so much better after tidying it yesterday. I had lots of random stuff like pet medicines and bird food and I was letting it all pile up on the surfaces. It's all neatly stored away now.:)

I just went through the final kitchen "junk" drawer and the fridge and the freezer. Another candle used up too.

I’ve managed to get rid of eleven items so far though five of those were Secret Santa items my son had been given several years ago. The sweets in the bag were BB May 2013. I also got rid of a hairbrush that I bought a replacement for last January, why it’s taken me a year to get rid of I don’t know.

Hi all, I've been following this thread for a few days now - you guys are inspiring x

A quick question - maybe a butt kick..

I'm clearing out the loft and found a number of small cylindrical glass jars. The lids had rusted so they've been thrown out but before I recycle the jars, is there anything I can keep them for? Think of the hexagonal honey jar size, but a cylinder

We don't eat jams but do preserve garlic and chillis so there is an option there. But in truth, I also save othrr jars for those so I don't have a need

I wondered abulout tealight jars but I rarely burn tealights so I don't want to keep hold of them for that

Any idea to repurpose the lidless jars, or just recycle and be gone?

You could donate them - it's the kind of thing somebody else might repurpose. But I wouldn't repurpose them for myself if it wasn't the kind of thing I normally did, or would use!

Thanks DD25 - do you mean donate them to a Charity Shop? Or put a post on facebook? I wondered if a Charity Shop would take them?
