  • I have sold my house and temporarily moved in with family so I really want to maximise saving over the next few months whilst paying much lower rent and bills. On that note regular savings came out over last few days and I added some extra pounds to EF bringing my total up to £2334/£6000. Thanks!

Hi my emergency fund seems to be under constant pressure as have started paying all bills yearly at the moment. And dishwasher is potentially broken, but I have just been 2 weeks without any spending except groceries, and if I keep doing that I will get back on track fairly quickly. That said I started a private pension last year and am paying into a housing isa very slowly so all together I now have over £3000 stashed away towards my retirement which is in 10 years and I don't have much pension. My main focus at the moment is to pay off a tax credit debt, except the hmrc lost almost 100 that i had paid in. So need to call them. So am paying slowly to avoid paying money twice. Everything else is on low payments as my income is currently under a lot of pressure. Once I have paid my car insurance in March (£3-400) I will start my emergency and a bills/budget fund and report back.
